About the job:

Do you have a drive for breaking down the barriers of traditional therapeutic services, whilst supporting young people to address mental health issues in a creative and non-stigmatising way? 

We are passionate about breaking down the barriers that often prevent young people from accessing the mental health support they need. In many of the communities in which we work, mental health issues are stigmatised and rarely discussed. Traditional clinic-based therapy can be difficult to access and intimidating for young people, leading to reluctance in seeking the necessary help and opening up. Our approach is to bring mental health services out of clinics and into the communities where young people live.

Box Therapy combines non-contact boxing with psychologically informed interventions with the primary aim being to support and empower young people to improve their emotional wellbeing and mental health. Box Therapy most commonly takes place in a boxing gym setting, where our therapists use non-contact boxing as a physical outlet to help young people build trust, manage their emotions, and make positive changes in their lives. We also deliver Box Therapy in school-based settings.

Your role:

Box Therapy is an accessible way for young people to receive support from a qualified practitioner in a non-clinical, non-intimidating setting.

As a Boxing Therapist you will be expected to work with young people with moderate to severe and enduring mental health issues in both 1:1 and group settings. You will not be expected to have a specific sports or boxing qualification, but an interest in fitness and the benefits of physical activity as a therapeutic tool are essential. 

You will receive full boxing coaching skills training as a part of your induction.

Your responsibilities:

• To provide effective mental health support to young people aged between 8 and 25. This includes combining non-contact boxing and physical exercise with psychosocial interventions.
• To work in a dynamic and unconventional work environment where flexibility and creativity are paramount.
• To work with young people in a 1:1 and group-based capacity in both gym and school-based settings.
• To maintain the highest standards of record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing, outcome. measurement and the responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with Service and Partner’s policies and procedures.
• To ensure the development and maintenance of the highest personal and professional standards of practice, through active participation in clinical supervision, training, and reflective personal development sessions.
• To utilise assessment and formulation skills to guide the delivery of therapeutic interventions.
• To work flexibly and with initiative to meet the core aims of service delivery to children and young people, including working evenings and some weekends.
• To autonomously manage own caseload.
• To build positive and effective relationships with young people/ carers/parents/ external services to aid a young person's therapeutic journey.

You will be working as part of a small team, sharing office space and in close collaboration with colleagues and students. As our Fundraising Officer you’ll play a crucial role in raising philanthropic income for the university. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time as 2026 marks the University’s centenary.

Your work will involve planning and delivering a range of fundraising activities aimed at raising charitable donations from alumni and other supporters. Projects will include an international giving day, telephone campaign, direct mail appeals, online crowdfunding projects and raising money at public events on our campuses.

This is a chance to make a real difference during an important year. You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive and passionate team and your work will have real impact — supporting students, research and the wider community through our centenary projects.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

This role is a fixed-term full time position, working 35 hours per week, providing maternity cover for 1 year from February 2026. Working hours would normally be 9-5pm Monday to Friday, but the role will require periods of out of hours working such as during the telephone campaign.

The role requires some days working at the Whiteknights Campus each week, but The Fundraising Team supports hybrid remote working arrangements too.

We provide free, after-school literacy support to children who are falling behind in class and who have fewer opportunities for additional support due to their personal circumstances than others. Founded in East London, Literacy Pirates’ programme now runs online and serves children anywhere in the United Kingdom.
 
Literacy Pirates is on an exciting journey of growth, rolling out our innovative learning programme to reach more children than ever before. An ambitious, fast-growing charity we have set ourselves a goal of reaching 3,000 children a year nationally, by 2030 compared with 650 this year. To support this, the fundraising team must double the charity’s revenue over the next four years, from £1million to £2million annually. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Trust and Foundation specialist with a keen interest in developing strategy and a flair for building strong relationships with funders. You will be excited to play a pivotal role in the growth of this charity, knowing the huge impact every new grant will have on the number of disadvantaged young people we are able to support. You will have significant freedom to design and execute a strong growth-oriented trusts strategy.

• Proven track record of securing significant multi-year grants from trusts and foundations.

• Experience using AI to generate proposals and grant reports time-efficiently.

• Strong track record of prospect research using a mixture of techniques and strategies 
• Experience representing an organisation at events and conferences.  
• Strong numeracy and experience in preparing budgets for funders.

• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems.

• Knowledge of the education sector a plus, but not essential. 

Responsibilities

• Research and identify trusts, foundations, and other funding opportunities to grow Literacy Pirates’ funding base. 
• Develop a pipeline of high-quality funding applications to meet agreed income targets. 
• Write or generate compelling funding proposals and grant applications, drawing on organisational impact data and stories
• Place AI tools at the centre of routine content generation for applications and reports. 
• Build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with funders, ensuring effective stewardship at all stages. 
• Attend conferences and networking events, and arrange funder visits, meetings. 
• Track progress against targets and provide regular updates to the Head of Development.
• Provide support and leadership to the broader fundraising team 
• Contribute to the development of the charity’s wider fundraising strategy, ensuring trusts and foundations income complements individual giving, corporate partnerships, and community events. 
• Work with the Education and Comms team to ensure the right impact data and case studies are available to strengthen proposals and reports and contribute to organisation’s marketing work 
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of applications, grants, and funder communications in the CRM system. 
• Monitor sector trends and share insights on funding opportunities and best practice.

Alongside your core responsibilities, you will help maintain our organisational database and support the coordination and delivery of a diverse programme of supporter events—ensuring that every guest enjoys an exceptional experience. (Please note that some evening and weekend work will occasionally be required.)

You will receive structured development across all areas of fundraising—including trust and foundation fundraising, individual giving, stewardship, event management and data management. As Development Executive you will

• Manage the Spektrix CRM database
• Work alongside colleagues to deliver bespoke supporter events in Leeds and at venues across the UK
• Research and collate data to support fundraising activities
• Work with colleagues to draft funding bids and reports
• Support the smooth running of the Development department
• Be supported with an in-depth training programme to develop your skills as an arts fundraiser

We are looking for someone who

• Has administrative experience, organisational and time-management skills – able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Has experience using or an interest in learning how to use CRM systems (ideally Spektrix) to manage data and support fundraising activities
• Is a motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage with Northern Ballet’s supporters
• Has a passion for arts and culture

The Kilbroney Centre is a vibrant and growing residential ministry of the Church of Ireland based in Rostrevor on the edge of the Mourne Mountains. The centre is set in 9 acres of partly wooded grounds and offers a range of catered and self-catered accommodation aimed mainly at children, young people and families. In recent years the ministry has grown to also include mid-week school residentials.

This exciting new post will work alongside, and be responsible to, the Centre Director to deliver and supervise catering, housekeeping and hospitality at the Centre. It is a full-time post of 38 hrs per week. Hours of work will be flexible according to bookings but involve regular weekend work.

STOP THE TRAFFIK prevents vulnerable communities from being recruited, trafficked, and exploited. Our targeted prevention work disrupts the criminal business of human trafficking, making it too high-risk and low-profit to be viable.

The Development Manager sits within our Development & Communications Team and plays a critical role in securing the funding and partnerships that fuel our global prevention efforts. This role is responsible for managing and preparing high-quality funding applications, nurturing donor and partner relationships, and leading on individual giving initiatives that grow our supporter base and strengthen long-term sustainability.

This is a dynamic and strategic role suited to someone who is a strong writer, comfortable working with data and impact insights, and driven to connect STOP THE TRAFFIK’s mission with funders who share our vision. You will help build a strong pipeline of philanthropic, trust, foundation, and corporate support, ensuring the organisation continues to innovate and scale its prevention programmes worldwide.

This role will be responsible for:

Funding Development & Applications

• Prepare and submit compelling, high-quality funding proposals to trusts and foundations.

• Develop supplementary materials for applications, including budgets, MEL frameworks, timelines, and theories of change.

• Research and identify new funding opportunities to maintain a strong pipeline.

• Manage funding calendars, ensuring deadlines, reporting, and grant obligations are met.

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing funders, partners, and individual donors, ensuring excellent stewardship.

• Support the Head of Development & Communications in cultivating philanthropic prospects and corporate partnerships.

• Represent STOP THE TRAFFIK in meetings and presentations with funders and external stakeholders.

Campaigns & Individual Giving

• Lead individual giving activities.

• Collaborate with the Development & Communications Team to design creative fundraising campaigns that grow income across diverse supporter groups including universities, schools, and community initiatives.

Storytelling & Impact

• Translate data, insights, and project outcomes into persuasive narratives for funders and partners.

• Work closely with programme teams to gather impact information and incorporate it into applications and pitches.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in fundraising or partnership development within the charity or social impact sector.

• A strong track record of writing successful funding proposals and trust/foundation applications.

• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive, evidence-based narratives.

• Experience researching prospects and managing a varied funding pipeline.

• Confidence presenting to funders and external audiences.

• Strong relationship-building skills with individuals and organisations.

• The ability to work with data and monitoring insights to strengthen reporting and funding cases.
