What’s the role about?

This is a great opportunity to join us as the new Chief Finance Officer. As the Depaul Group continues to experience growth and increases its impact, you’ll lead the effective financial and governance support provided by DPI to its subsidiaries. You’ll be the leading interface between the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees and other corporate bodies and subsidiaries. You’ll provide financial advice to the Group CEO, Board and other senior management colleagues, including modelling best practice in financial management, overseeing the financial management in the subsidiaries, setting financial standards for the group and providing support to enable the subsidiaries to meet those standards. You’ll also be leading and supporting the development of a new governance structure for the Group.

What will ideally support your success?

You’ll be a CCAB qualified accountant with experience of strategic financial leadership and management experience and the ability to solve complex problems. In addition, you’ll have experience of working with and advising a diverse range of boards and external stakeholders. It’s important that you also have experience of current financial reporting requirements and financial management practices, including consolidated financial reporting. Strong IT skills as well as an appreciation and understanding of key HR and ICT challenges in the charity sector are desirable. We’re looking for someone possibly, but not exclusively, working in homelessness and/or international development who shows personal integrity in all they do and have a commitment and respect for our aims, objectives and values.

About You

To be our Program Accountant, you will likely have:

• Qualified Accountant with experience working in program accounting and reporting in a Charity (minimum of 5 years of experience).

• Strong Knowledge and understanding of financial process improvements.

The Grants Officer will support the Senior Manager to develop and implement monitoring and reporting
processes across the Foundation’s grant-giving activities. To be successful in the role, you must have
excellent knowledge of results-based monitoring and reporting, demonstrate strong organisational and
administrative skills, and ideally have experience working with colleagues from different cultural
backgrounds.

The initial focus of the role will be monitoring and reporting in relation to the implementation of a Big 6
EU funded programme, the Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF). This programme focuses on supporting
youth-led initiatives, giving young people the means to be effective agents of change. The YEF is global
in its reach but will focus on supporting local solutions and grassroots initiatives that young people
develop on the ground. The Officer will play a key role in supporting the Senior Manager to maintain and
grow Big 6 advocacy and partnerships for the short and long-term. This role will also work closely with
colleagues from the Operations and Finance team to ensure accurate information is delivered to key
stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 

Youth Empowerment Fund (60%):

• Support the monitoring and reporting of the EU funded YEF programme. Including coordinationwithin the IAF and with the Big 6 designated leads.
• Communicating with and activating networks of national organizations to participate in the YEF,including sharing opportunities to take part in Big 6 advocacy activities and applying for youthled solutions open-call Local Solutions grants.
• Issuing of grants to successful national organizations and monitoring and evaluation, including regular reporting on outcomes and impact of national projects to the YEF project team.
• Sharing success stories from the YEF to support the Big 6 communication, storytelling and creative reporting efforts.

Other Grant based support (40%):

• Oversee grant-giving financial processes, creating and issuing of grant payments.
• Support the Senior Operations Manager with the reporting of grant activities for Senior Management and various stakeholders.
• Support the ongoing development of other Foundation grant reporting efforts as required.

For over 20 years, we’ve provided accommodation and specialist support to people who are facing homelessness and destitution because of their insecure or unresolved immigration status. We’re now looking for a strategic, relationship-driven fundraiser to join our senior team and shape a new phase of growth. As our first Head of Fundraising, you’ll play a vital role in transforming strong but reactive income streams into a thriving, sustainable programme that enables us to support more people, more effectively.

We have an engaged and generous supporter base, particularly among individuals, churches and other groups across Greater Manchester. Background

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. A UK registered charity, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to meet a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. We also uplift the voices of Palestinians, and campaign for an end to the barriers to health and dignity that come from living through occupation, displacement, discrimination and conflict.

Purpose of role

MAP is in a period of growth and rapid development, and as such, the incoming Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for the financial strategy and management of MAP and for the leadership of operational areas to help deliver the organisation’s mission and strategic goals. The COO provides support to the CEO in areas of governance, legal and risk management and may deputise for the CEO as required.

Responsibilities

Strategy, vision and leadership

• Be accountable to the CEO and Board in the areas of finance, technology, risk and compliance, supply chain and logistics, and safety and security.
• Advise the CEO and SMT on financial planning, legal, governance and related policy matters.
• Work closely with SMT colleagues to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.
• Serve as the management liaison to the Finance & Operations Committee, Audit Risk & Governance Committee and, where required, to the Board of Trustees; effectively communicate and present critical financial and operational matters at governance meetings.

Profile

Person specification

• Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA) or post-graduate business degree mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior management role ideally with in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organisation.
• Experience either as an employee or board member of a non-profit organisation; must be familiar with non-profit finance and accounting regulations.
• Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organisational change and development within a growing organisation.
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Bring strong mentoring and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise.

As Deputy Director, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping PORe’s future, ensuring our long-term sustainability, and driving impactful organisational development. You will work closely with the Director & CEO to enhance our operations, administration, and financial management while leading a small team to support the delivery of our Business Plan. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape strategic business processes, contribute to PORe’s artistic programming, and play an integral role in our fundraising efforts. You’ll be looking after a small team, and the administrative, and financial aspects of the organisation. You’ll also be inputting into funding bids, helping with data collection, and coming up with creative commercial opportunities to help us grow. As a new company, this role would be perfect for someone ambitious, looking to help shape and grow our organisation even further.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Director & CEO in strategic, financial, and organisational development.
• Play a senior leadership role, overseeing operations, administration, financial processes, and governance.
• Manage and support a small team to effectively deliver PORe’s Business Plan.
• Ensure efficient business activities, including HR and data collection processes.
• Oversee financial management, including budget control, reporting, and compliance.
• Support delivery of public programming and contribute to project development.
• Collaborate on fundraising initiatives, including bid writing.
• Represent PORe in meetings with funders, stakeholders, and key partners.
• Manage organisational governance, including trustee meetings and board development.
• Lead risk management, policy updates, safeguarding, health & safety, and diversity initiatives.
• Oversee IT systems, digital security, and business continuity planning.
• Drive internal communication, staff recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with charity and company law, funding agreements, and legal obligations.

An established professional membership body is looking for a qualified and motivated Financial Accounting Analyst to join its finance team. This is a broad and technical role, ideal for someone with a background in audit and charity finance, looking to take the next step in their career.

Working closely with the Head of Financial Control, you’ll lead on financial compliance and reporting across taxable trading, research grants, subscription and exam fee income, and subsidiary accounts. You’ll also oversee accounts payable operations and support year-end reporting.

The role offers excellent exposure, a fantastic Central London office, and genuine scope for quick progression into a senior finance leadership role.

What we’re looking for:

• CCAB-qualified accountant with 2+ years’ PQE
• Strong experience in financial reporting, controls, and compliance
• Ideally from an audit background, with knowledge of charity SORP
• Comfortable working with complex income streams and financial systems
