The Role
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Abingdon site, ensuring that our Wood Shop, workshop, and facilities turn a profit and run smoothly, safely, and in line with our business plan. You will manage a multi-skilled team across customer service, warehousing, and woodworking, and play a key part in delivering on OWR’s strategic goals - from retail growth to workshop projects to community initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
· Ensure a positive customer experience for everyone accessing OWR services at our Wood Shop, online and over the phone.
· Lead and oversee our Wood Shop and workshop operations, managing retail activity and supporting staff with purchasing and merchandising.
· Develop and maintain business systems to ensure high standards of service, safety, and sustainability across the site.
· Take ownership of Health & Safety policies, procedures, and compliance across the Abingdon site and satellite facilities.
· Provide visible and motivational leadership to operational teams - including customer service, warehouse, and woodwork - promoting team development and high performance.
· Coordinate with the marketing function to grow profitable retail and commercial sales.
· Support and develop workshop-based manufacturing and bespoke wood projects, ensuring delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
· Manage facilities at Suffolk Way, and off-site strorage, including building maintenance, utilities, and supplier contracts (supported by the Business Administrator).
· Actively participate in senior team meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
· Work with the Wood to Work team to offer meaningful work experience for job seekers, apprentices, and school volunteers.

Essential skills and experience:
· Significant experience in retail, warehouse or production operations

- Project Coordination:

We support bright and keen students to develop their mathematical curiosity and problem solving skills beyond the curriculum. This includes puzzle sheets, large interactive webinars, and a tutoring programme (Parallel Academy) which provides small-group tutorials to over 600 state school secondary school students. Our tutorial programme is completely free for the first year, and heavily subsidised thereafter, but cost will never be a barrier to participation.

All of these initiatives are managed through our proprietary online platform which provides the following:
- A bespoke learning management system for our tutorial students, including functionality such as scheduling, real-time reporting, administration of homework, tests and other resources

This role:
So far, the Parallel platform has been developed and maintained by a single volunteer developer. As we look to expand the project to reach many thousands more students each year, we are now looking for additional support to help maintain the platform, attend to daily issues and support with new feature development.

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their cadet experience.
We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers whilst also helping young people to access cadet activities through fundraising, grant-making, developing new resources and direct support.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision.
APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support.
This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

- Evidence of effective relationship management with a range of external stakeholders including solicitors, lay executors and auditors

- Manage and maximise legacy income by overseeing cases, monitoring legal/admin costs, and ensuring compliance with policy and best practice.
- Act as the main point of contact for solicitors, executors, supporters, and third-party suppliers to maintain strong relationships and communication.
- Lead on complex and high-value cases, offering expert advice on probate, tax, and legal matters while escalating as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting, working with Finance and Database teams to ensure audit compliance and effective forecasting.
- Drive continuous improvement by updating legacy processes, advising on policy changes, and supporting recognition programmes for legacy donors.

The Role
Support the Director Of Fundraising in the startegic and operational develiery of a £4m income budget.

Line manage & support three direct reports (Individual Giving Manager/ Runs and Challenges Manager / Trusts Administrator).
Identify new funding opportunities from different sectors, ensuring a strong pipeline of prospective grant funders.

The Candidate
Strong experience in high value trusts and foundations fundraising.
Proven track record of securing five and six-figure grants and in writing successful multi-year funding bids.
Knowledge of the UK philanthropic landscape and key grant-making bodies.
Strong leadership, management and strategic planning skills, with experience in developing and motivating teams
