Job description

The University of Cambridge seeks an outstanding individual for the position of Senior Associate Director, Arts & Humanities. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior fundraiser who is interested in supporting world-class research and teaching in the Arts and Humanities.

Senior Associate Director, School Arts and Humanities
University of Cambridge
Grade 10, £55,751 to £64,604 per annum

The School of Arts & Humanities is a vibrant and dynamic research community, home to some of the University’s most interesting and varied work. Areas of focus include the societal impacts of artificial intelligence, Islamic art, film studies, sustainable cities, the philosophy of hate speech, the politics of sport and gender in the classical world. In partnership with leading academic institutions in the Middle and Far East and South America, the School has launched a bold new Global Humanities initiative to reimagine how we think about, teach and research the humanities. And the innovative Digital Humanities programme explores how new technologies are transforming art, media and knowledge.

With responsibility for the design, management and execution of the University’s major gifts fundraising strategy for the School, you will be a senior member of the Major Gifts, Schools and Institutions team. You will raise significant financial support for the University’s fundraising priorities, generating six- and seven-figure gifts from individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporations in the UK and internationally.

Collaborative, strategic and innovative in approach, the Senior Associate Director will be responsible for developing new, and building on existing, high-value partnerships with philanthropic donors. Critical to success will be the ability to engage with high net worth individuals, academics and with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

You will join one of the world’s leading institutions as part of a dynamic and innovative team delivering the University of Cambridge’s significant fundraising potential. Development and Alumni Relations reflects the University’s mission - innovating and transforming approaches to fundraising, leading the sector and working at the cutting edge of what we do.
