Role Purpose

Oversee a blended model of in-house direct labour teams and external supply chain partners, lead and empower your teams to successfully deliver effective building, mechanical, electrical and regulated compliance related works and services across the organisation's property portfolio to ensure our homes are safe and well maintained. Delivering against challenging KPI's, ensure continuous improvement and customer safety across gas, fire, water, electrical, lifts, M&E and asbestos.

Working with the Property Services Director and Assistant Directors to shape and implement the Property Compliance Delivery strategies to deliver effective building/property regulatory compliance in line with statutory, regulatory and policy requirements. Instrumental in leading change and embedding a positive, enthusiastic, and empowered culture that enables colleagues to deliver good performance and great customer service.

Lead on new ways of working including the use of modern digital solutions to make our business more effective, agile, and responsive, requiring a forward and outward looking approach as well as an open mind and applying Lean principles in decision making.

Key Accountabilities

• Shape and contribute to the organisation's long-term compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with national housing policy and emerging legislation.
• Lead on the effective management of statutory compliance, ensuring all regulatory and legislative responsibilities for gas, electrical, asbestos, fire safety, legionella, water, and lifts are delivered.
• Oversee the delivery of regulatory repairs within the required timelines such as Damp, Mould and Condensation, Disrepair cases, and HHSRS related complex repairs, oversee escalated complaints that require additional attention to de-escalate and resolve.
• Responsibility for preparing and presenting detailed assurance, risk and performance reports to the senior leadership teams and relevant committees / boards.
• Ensure services delivered have customers at the heart of decision making, proving excellent customer service which prioritises keeping them safe.
• Accountable for performance targets, budgets and work programmes, agreeing and monitoring these and ensuring team managers align and set objectives that deliver the strategic and directorate plan.
• Manage critical relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally including but not limited to, in-house colleagues and external contractors, senior stakeholders, governing bodies, external auditors and consultants and legal representatives.
• Lead a team which is capable of delivering all current and new regulated delivery, such as Awaab's Law, HHSRS, and disrepair cases.
• Lead on external audits, inspections and regulatory reviews.
• Ensure effective property compliance 1st line assurance is in place for all areas of service and works delivery.
• Lead on the development of the compliance schedule, creating programmes on a pre-emptive cycle to ensure that the business remains compliant.
• Recruit, manage, coach, motivate, and develop colleagues within your team in line with organisational policies.
• Critically evaluate compliance information and KPIs, producing regular assurance reports covering all areas of compliance performance, processes, procedures, and statutory responsibilities.
• Oversee the development and on-going review of compliance related policies and procedures, in line with legislation and industry best practice.
• Ensure a sustainable suite of competent specialist Supply Chain partners is in place.

Purpose of the post

The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role within HDR UK, as the key point of contact and financial support for the Institute Office teams. The Finance Business Partner supports key non- finance stakeholders to provide timely and insightful analysis and reporting and supports with the alignment of financial plans to operational and strategic priorities. The role will support the Institute Office as well as some of our separately funded programmes. The Finance Business Partner is responsible for the management of the Institute’s support costs and recharges, and therefore plays a pivotal role in the long-term financial sustainability of HDR UK. Main responsibilities

• Work with Budget Holders to manage financial performance, forecasts, and budgeting including understanding financial opportunities and risk for the area of business partnership.

• Lead on monthly reporting to the Institute Office and Programme teams, including posting month end journals, meeting with Budget Holders to discuss performance and budget variance and providing commentary and analysis on reports.

Duties:

1. Advocate on behalf of Humanists International, by:
1.1. Drafting written and oral statements and submissions for the UN Human Rights Council;
1.2. Analyzing and summarizing complex legal / policy documents, such as International Conventions or UN reports, or jurisprudence at international courts and tribunals;
1.3. Undertaking research tasks and producing pieces of comprehensive legal research, and providing briefing or meeting notes for the Senior Advocacy Officer;
1.4. Representing and speaking on behalf of Humanists International at meetings of different sizes, including at the UN Human Rights Council;
1.5. Preparing and delivering presentations (often with the use of powerpoint);
1.6. Working with other civil society actors to lobby on common causes and mobilize on issues of concern;
1.7. Writing news stories for the website and contributing to the media output of the organization;

2. Supporting Humanists International's members in advocacy, by:

Essential Criteria:

• Good knowledge and background in international human rights law, international law, or global justice. 
• Experience in the area of advocacy and/or of advocacy-related training.

We’ve launched a bold new pilot in the West Midlands to tackle the urgent issue of late prostate cancer diagnosis in Black men and we need a dynamic Project Manager to lead the way. In this pivotal role, you’ll bring communities, healthcare partners and local insight together to dismantle barriers, build trust, and shape a model that could change outcomes across the UK.

What the job involves

As the Project Manager, you’ll lead an innovative pilot designed to tackle late diagnosis of prostate cancer in Black men. Day to day, you’ll shape and deliver a regional model that breaks down systemic barriers to early diagnosis - from coordinating the unification of efforts to address drivers of inequity in prostate cancer to establishing a new bridging fund to support cross-sector partnerships. You’ll work closely with community organisations, Primary Care Networks and NHS stakeholders, bringing people together to build trust and drive practical, measurable improvements.

What we want from you

You’ll be someone who cares deeply about health equity and is motivated by making real change happen for Black men in prostate cancer. We’re looking for someone who has experience designing or delivering community‑based health projects and feels confident working across sectors to build strong, equitable partnerships. You’ll bring strategic thinking, the ability to turn insight into action, and the communication skills to engage, influence and inspire. You’ll be comfortable managing timelines, budgets and reporting impact, and you’ll bring a strong understanding of public health, health equity or programme management. About you

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual, who is capable of creating and delivering a strategic approach to commercial partnership development. About the role

After extensive scoping work throughout 2025, we are launching an exciting project to create a step change in the way we deliver our organisational knowledge, clinical expertise and information to add commercial value to potential customers across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies.  This new role of Head of Commercial Development will own the creation, development and delivery of this work.

We’re seeking a pragmatic, hands-on Cyber Security Analyst to help mature our security function.

This role will work closely with our outsourced SOC provider and internal teams to triage and investigate security events, support supplier security assurance, provide risk-based advice across the organisation, and drive automation of security processes and tooling. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working across teams, and improving how security is delivered in a complex, mission-driven organisation.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Security Monitoring & Incident Support

• Act as the internal focal point with the outsourced SOC provider - ensuring effective communication, follow-up, and escalation of alerts.
• Triage, investigate, and support resolution of security events and incidents.
• Contribute to lessons learned and improvements following incidents.
• Lead the instantiation of the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and associated processes and playbooks

Supplier & Third-Party Security

• Assess cyber security risk for key suppliers and partners.
• Review supplier security documentation, raise concerns, and help negotiate security requirements.

Risk & Advice

• Provide pragmatic, risk-based security guidance to internal teams and respond to ad-hoc queries.
• Help develop and maintain security standards and processes that reflect organisational risk tolerances.
• Advise system owners and project managers on pen testing approach and scope
• Run simulated phishing campaigns and produce security awareness communications

Automation & Process Improvement

• Identify and implement opportunities to automate security detection, response, reporting, and remediation workflows.
• Work with the SOC and internal technical teams to refine alert logic, improve data quality, and reduce manual effort.
• Help optimise security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, ticketing, dashboards).

General

Essential skills, knowledge, & experience:

• 5 years’ experience in a cyber security, IT security, or technology risk role
• Practical, demonstrable experience of working with a SOC (internal or outsourced) and investigating cyber security incidents using best practice methodologies and tools
• Good understanding of cyber risk concepts, controls, and technical security tools.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and experience producing communications materials and reports
• Relevant security certifications/qualifications (e.g. CISSP, SSCP, GCIA, CEH, CompTIA)
• Knowledge of UK best practice frameworks (e.g., NCSC guidance, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials).
• Scripting or practical automation experience.
• Experience assessing third-party/supplier security risk.
• Demonstrated passion for and experience in improving security processes and utilising automation to achieve this
• Experience with threat hunting and horizon scanning
• Strong technical security knowledge of networking technologies, IDAM, EDR/XDR
• Experience supporting security and compliance audit activities
