Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to provide professional, accurate, and timely financial management and reporting for Repowering London. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in supporting our sustainable growth by ensuring sound financial control, analysis and statutory compliance. About the opportunity
As Head of Impact & Quality, you’ll lead the department that covers impact measurement, evaluation of our programmes, data management, curriculum development, training and quality of tutors and other initiatives that drive the evidence-based culture of Action Tutoring. With a strong understanding of the charity's theory of change, you’ll strengthen existing impact and quality processes and make strategic recommendations that develop these further. You’ll play a vital role in helping the Senior Management Team balance quality and quantity with sustainable business decisions. As well as leading the department, you’ll build external networks and represent the charity externally at relevant events, in person and online. The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. We work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together we have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. We also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse. 

In July of this year the Home Office announced a £53m investment over the next four years to enable the Drive Project to roll out across England and Wales. To end domestic abuse, we must address the source of the problem - the perpetrator.  This funding will make a huge difference to our efforts to support survivors, by holding perpetrators to account, stopping them from causing further harm and giving them the chance to change. 

Reporting to the Drive Director we are looking for a Drive Deputy Director to contribute to the leadership and management of the team in addition to building and nurturing strategic relationships with key stakeholders such as individuals, corporate partners, public sector organisations, and charitable trusts.  Your remit will also include working collaboratively with the Head of Programmes and Managers, to develop a growth and business development strategy for each of our four core areas of work.

BACKGROUND

We are now looking for a commercial, ambitious and inspirational Head of Talent to ensure we have the right people in place to achieve the Institute’s ambitious Science and Innovation strategy.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate will have senior level recruitment/talent acquisition experience as well as experience in influencing senior management and implementing talent acquisition solutons. A key requirement will be taking a proactive rather than reactive recruitment approach and will require strong experience in direct sourcing and building strong candidate pipleines.

The role holder will need outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Translate the Turing’s strategic objectives into actionable talent acquisition strategies, with clear, ambitious, measurable goals and targets
• Lead, coach and mentor talent advisors to promote direct hiring and align with strategic resourcing goals
• Conduct and coach the management team on recruitment processes
• Work collaboratively with the other departmental HR Heads to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to support business objectives
• Advise executive leadership on Talent Acquisition related matters
• Work with the senior management team to plan the future skills sets required to meet the Institute’s objectives and create talent pipelines to address these talent needs
• Develop and implement strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top talent
• Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires
• Proactively embed EDI principles.

Terms and Conditions

This post is offered on a permanent basis, at an annual salary of £80,000 - £85.000 plus excellent benefits, including flexible working and family friendly policies.

The Alan Turing Institute is based at the British Library, in the heart of London’s Knowledge Quarter. We expect staff to come to our office at least 4 days per month. Some roles may require more days in the office; the hiring manager will be able to confirm this during the interview.

Mission Director

Do you have a heart for God’s global mission, a head for strategy implementation and a passion to see global mission movements catalysed? Are you ready to help co-create mission activities in a number of edge contexts around the world? Are you good at influencing and leading people? If so, then you might be just the right person to take on the key role of Mission Director with Church Mission Society (CMS).

Like many mission organisations, in recent years CMS has gone through a process of decentralisation and localisation, resulting in the establishment of CMS-Africa and Asia-CMS within their respective regions. In addition, while CMS once worked primarily through placing people from the West in cross-cultural contexts, we’ve broadened our approach to include supporting local mission organisations and their mission personnel, partnership grant-making and network-building. We particularly want to do this in edge contexts around the world: those places where Jesus’ name is rarely heard or where the church struggles to be.

As a member of the senior leadership team (SLT) of CMS, the Mission Director will play a key part in leading this strategic direction to success together with the CEO, the rest of the SLT, international partners and the mission team.

This post has an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practising and committed Christian, committed to the aims, values and the ethos statement of CMS. In addition, they must be able and willing to travel internationally around 50 days per annum. An enhanced DBS / criminal records check is also required for this post.

Hours, salary and benefits:

· Permanent and full time (35 hours per week)

· Hybrid working: at least two days a week at CMS House, Oxfordshire

· Starting salary is circa £60,000 per annum depending on experience with a generous pension contribution: up to 10 per cent employer contribution on annual salary

Your role

They will be a prayerful, discerning Christian with missiological knowledge and insight, cross-cultural experience, and mission engagement experience, bringing effective mission partnerships and nurturing a healthy mission spirituality within CMS.

At Greyhound Trust, we believe every retired racing greyhound deserves a loving home and a life filled with kindness and compassion. Our national network of homing centres and Branches—powered by dedicated staff and volunteers—supports over a thousand greyhounds each year in their journey from track to home.   You will help take us back to our pre covid numbers of several thousand greyhounds being homed by Greyhound Trust each year.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and sitting as part of the Senior Management Team, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering our national Homing and Welfare Strategy, while leading the transformation of our homing network to home more grreyhounds and develop its impact. 

You will also lead innovative new programmes such as:

• Greyhound Guardian – our compassionate return scheme

• Community Outreach Initiatives – exploring the therapeutic role of greyhounds

This is a rare opportunity to lead strategic change in animal welfare at both a national and grassroots level.

What You Will Do

• Lead national strategy for homing and greyhound care

• Oversee operations at our homing centres, including the flagship National Greyhound Centre

• Identify high impact operational changes required to increase reach and home more greyhounds, and lead the relevant operational change across the homing network

• Develop new welfare and outreach initiatives

• Manage a high performing team of operational Managers, focused on greyhound outcomes, supporting and developing our valued volunteers and championing the breed

• Represent Greyhound Trust at sector forums and public platforms

• Lead welfare governance, policy, and budget management

About You

We’re looking for a confident, collaborative and visionary leader who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery. You’ll bring:
