As a not-for-profit business, we reinvest our surpluses wisely and in addition to purchasing several homes for the people we support, our head office, we have recently purchased a farm with twelve acres in South Shropshire to develop our farm-based day opportunities, whilst providing longer term development opportunities over the next five to ten years. 

The current incumbent has decided to retire (early) and has successfully made the job his own over the last five-years. Therefore, we are reluctantly seeking a replacement to join our executive management team. 

The successful candidate will lead on all fiscal and IT issues and be accountable for these functions across Bethphage. This role will demand a strong commercial financial acumen, as these are difficult times for our sector.  We are operating in an environment of disappointing settlements from commissioners and proposed changes in legislation which will complicate the supply of staff.  Fortunately, the organisation has been well and prudently managed so has strong foundations. 

The key purpose of the role is to provide professional leadership to Bethphage's fiscal agenda, ensuring their efficacy and fit with the organisation's values, ethos, culture and strategy. With strategic responsibility for finance and IT you will ensure that the organisation has highly effective well-implemented operational strategies, which align to Bethphage's core business, and deliver positive outcomes.

Core Duties 

1. You will play a key part in ensuring we achieve our mission to be an excellent provider of services to people with disabilities.    

2. Maintain and develop robust financial systems that ensure the utmost standards of governance and financial compliance, delivering a clean audit annually. 

3. Manage the annual budgeting, forecasting, planning and treasury process ensuring the organisation remains of a sustainable footing.  

4. Support senior teams to create growth strategies and plans   

5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, especially those within commissioning roles within Local Authorities.  

6. Advise the CEO and Executive Management Team on all matters relating to financial performance  

7. Lead, motivate and manage the finance team   

8. To contribute to the management of all contracts and contract reviews.  

9. Finance lead for all new tenders and bids.  

10. To lead and manage Insurance negotiation and all claims activity  

11. Responsible for the management of the external IT contract and organisational lead of information technology.  

12. Prepare annual accounts and manage the audit process, ensuring governance, the highest standards of best practice, and compliance.  

13. Control all financial and accountancy matters including month end reports, management accounts, cash flow management, statutory accounts, compliance, presentation of management information and KPIs   

14. Support the business through change and growth periods, coordinating corporate finance, debt, taxation, equity, acquisitions, and VAT registration.   

15. To manage and coordinate the fiscal relationships between the holding company and subsidiaries.

Our partner seeks a seasoned, analytical management accountant, with experience in project accounting and finance business partnering within an international charity. This is a 1 year fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project leads to monitor budgets and provide tailored financial insights, and regular reporting on project performance and expenditure tracking, ensuring effective resource management across funded initiatives.
• Prepare bespoke financial reports in line with external funding agreements, meeting all donor-specific compliance and deadline requirements.
• Serve as a primary contact for day-to-day finance-related queries from both UK and international colleagues, offering guidance on systems and processes.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts, supporting senior finance colleagues in the analysis and review of organisational performance.
• Assist in the development of year-end statutory accounts and provide support throughout the external audit process, including documentation collation and response to auditor queries.

Requirements

• Part-qualified accountant with at least 2 years of experience working in a similar role within an international charity, and a sound knowledge of preparing management accounts, undertaking analysis and doing project and donor accounting.
• Strong IT and systems skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, a strong command of the English language and report writing ability.
• Team player, able to be supportive and manage a varied a workload with little supervision.

This role offers remote working from the UK, with the candidate expected to attend meetings in London once ever 2-3 months. This role is only open to candidates with the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship. This a 1 year FTC with an immediate start preferred.

Job summary

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.

The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.

We have an excellent opportunity to join as Regional Fundraising Manager (Home Counties) for the wonderful Alzheimer’s Society. You will report to the Senior Regional Fundraising Manager. As part of this role, you will have overall responsibility for the development of your team in the home counties, aiming to achieve and exceed an annual income target, delivering exceptional supporter stewardship and acquisition of new business, and driving a high-performance culture.

This role will offer you the opportunity to manage a team of three Regional Fundraisers, maximising their skills and capacity to exceed targets, while managing your own portfolio of donors, making this a brilliant hybrid role of leadership and hands-on fundraising. You will drive relationship building, providing exceptional stewardship to boost retention and lifetime value for the charity’s highest value supporters.

To be successful as the Regional Fundraising Manager, you will need:

• Proven experience as a regional fundraising expert with strong knowledge of community income streams (corporate, clubs/groups, and individuals)
• Significant experience of providing strong leadership across a team, empowering them to problem solve independently and driving high performance.
• Strong experience of developing, delivering and reporting on budgets and non-financial targets.

Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it.

Since our founding in 2017, we’ve proudly campaigned successfully for the recognition of economic abuse in UK law and influenced wide-ranging systemic change to transform responses to it. We're now entering an ambitious new phase, and we’re seeking a dynamic, strategic and values-led Head of Income as part of the Senior Leadership Teamto help drive it forward.

This is a critical time for SEA. With a bold three-year strategy now in place, we’re looking for an experienced income-generation leader to oversee and diversify our income streams — across high-net-worth giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, and earned income through consultancy and training. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Income will play a vital role in shaping the future of the organisation and enabling us to scale our impact.

The Head of Income will lead a talented team, including our Senior Fundraising Manager (trusts and foundations) and Corporate Development Manager (strategic multi-stakeholder partnerships), and collaborate closely with our CEO, Trustees and earned income delivery teams (consultancy and training) whilst also being hands on in relationship development. Your approach will be collaborative, survivor-centred and driven by SEA’s values. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with strong experience in high-value fundraising and/or commercial income generation.

We are looking for an Executive Assistant to work within the Northern Ireland Directorate, Business Support Team. Your primary role will be to provide excellent administrative support to the Northern Ireland Director and to provide a business support service to the Northern Ireland Funding team and wider Directorate.

As part of the small Business Support Team, you will provide a flexible and responsive executive support service to the Northern Ireland Director that will include daily diary management.

Day to day responsibilities:

• You will have exceptional organisational and diary management skills. You will be able to deal with ad hoc requests in a timely manner ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.
• You will provide a range of business and administrative support as required by the wider Funding team in relation to the delivery of our programmes that will require excellent IT skills and proficiency.
• You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and have the ability to take minutes in a clear and concise manner.
• You will be required to support with venue sourcing, travel and accommodation arrangements, event logistics including catering and hospitality, and ensure we achieve the best environment for effective and efficient meetings.
• You will display a customer centric approach in your handling of internal and external queries and be ready to take the initiative and problem solve, with a calm and professional approach and attention to detail.
• You’ll be flexible in how you work, proactively engaging with and developing effective and collaborative working relationships at all levels across teams and wider organisation.
• You will maintain a high level of quality communication keeping both internal and external stakeholders adequately informed and updated, whilst recognising the need for discretion and confidentiality.

About this job

We’re looking for a Senior Events Fundraiser to join our Community, Events, and Retail Fundraising team, leading on the delivery of our third party events activities.

You’ll plan, develop, and promote a well-established portfolio of third party challenge events, working to achieve set income targets, while ensuring an outstanding supporter experience for our event participants.

You’ll also be responsible for developing our third party events portfolio; monitoring and evaluating products, as well as innovating, to create opportunities for future growth.
