The Trust has a history of supporting environmental and educational initiatives, supporting social and community experimentation around regenerative and circular economies, and improving the effectiveness of literacy teaching for children with learning difficulties. In this role you will have the opportunity to catalyse change for a truly sustainable future, being responsible for collaborating on strategy and implementation with the Trustee board and alongside colleagues, but with large degrees of autonomy. This is a unique opportunity to meaningfully address the climate and nature crisis, whilst utilising your creative abilities and professional experience, and a chance to guide and steer cultural conversations as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

You will be an accomplished generalist, likely with a media background, but you could be an experienced editor, commissioner, advertising creative, philanthropy professional, academic, curator, publisher, or experienced social innovator.

With an instinctive drive to discover, cultivate and connect emerging people, ideas, practices, systems, and organisations, you will be experienced in business development, strategic thinking and managing initiatives that create new forms of meaning or deliver meaningful change.

About this key role

As a valued and integral part of the Fundraising and Communications team, our successful candidate will lead a small sub-team to generate at least £500,000 income each year, including the direct line management of a Senior Fundraising Officer, who you will support to line manage the Fundraising Assistant.  We will count on you to implement effective processes and procedures across the fundraising and collaborating teams, manage and refine processes for recordkeeping and devise, maintain and update our Fundraising Handbook.

You will also be expected to manage the development and implementation of our Individual Giving Strategy and our Individual Giving income stream through single and regular giving appeals, as well as managing a portfolio of challenge events nationally that provides excellent stewardship for a range of participants. Developing and designing high-quality applications, presentations, and pitches to secure five-, six- and seven figure funding opportunities from Trusts & Foundations, Community Partners and High Net Worth Individuals is a key element of this role, as is providing excellent stewardship to existing donors.

The Role

FareShare has a dynamic fundraising department that has seen incredible growth in support in an incredibly short space of time. We are now looking for a proven Supporter Retention Manager to join us as we embark on our next phase of deepening engagement with current and new supporters.

This newly created role is an integral part of the Fundraising team’s growth plans to become a £40 million income generating team.

Working closely with the Supporter Acquisition Manager, Supporter Experience Manager (Fundraising Operations) and the wider Fundraising team, the post-holder will lead on stewardship campaigns encompassing Warm Appeals, Regular Giving asks, Supporter newsletters and cross-sell campaigns across FareShare’s audiences. Line management of an Individual Giving Officer (or Assistant) may form part of the roles and responsibilities further down the line.

The role offers a fantastic opportunity for a proven Individual Giving professional to help drive innovation in supporter retention and development and make a decisive contribution to a high-performing team.

Main areas of responsibility

1.Plan and deliver the Warm Appeals programme in line with agreed budget targets and annual workplans

• Campaign manage the Cash Appeals programme at all stages, from initial planning through to supplier management and post-campaign analysis
• Develop and implement a rolling programme of Regular Giving Asks.

2.Develop and manage a seamless supporter journey and consistency of messaging from the initial touchpoint through to longer-term giving

• Work with the Supporter Acquisition Manager and the Supporter Experience Manager on planning, delivering and managing a seamless supporter journey and consistency of messaging from the point of acquisition
• Actively monitor Supporter attrition levels and implement measures to mitigate disengagement
• Hold regular catch-ups with the Supporter Acquisition Manager and the Supporter Experience Manager to optimise collaborative working across both teams
• Keep up to date on the latest trends and techniques in Supporter Stewardship and apply learnings as appropriate on retention initiatives.

3.Maximise opportunities for cross-team campaigns

• Collaborate with the wider fundraising team on new and existing income generation opportunities.

4.General duties

• Provide support to the Individual Giving team where necessary.

BEO is a civil rights charity that was set up to challenge and dismantle systemic racism. We work with Black communities by using campaigning, policy and research in conjunction with the law to effect meaningful change. 
Legal services are central to BEO. We are therefore looking for someone of 4yrs PQE who has experience in social welfare, human rights, public and administration law and who seeks an opportunity to use those skills specifically in the area of challenging systemic racism. 

In the last year we have been developing our relationships with partner organisations, ranging from community groups, our stakeholder law firms, NGOs and law firms experienced in equality and discrimination law, to deliver legal services. The role holder will be required to build on and expand these relationships so that BEO can offer quality legal advice to Back communities in the nations and regions across the United Kingdom. 
We are building our internal legal team so that we can provide targeted legal support to Black communities. We are looking for someone to work with the Director of Legal Services and Policy to ensure that high quality legal advice, support and representation are the hallmark of BEO. 

Apart from delivering targeted legal advice and representation and identifying and running strategic litigation cases, the role holder will be required to think creatively to assist in fundraising and campaigning to develop a sustainable legal service. BEO does not have a Legal Aid Agency contract so self funds all legal work. BEO is a small team, so the role holder must have the skills and confidence to work on their own initiative as well as with members of other teams in BEO.

We are looking for someone who is excited about being part of a team that will build a legal service and who can work with Black communities and be guided by them. 
You will also be able to demonstrate that you are aware that Black communities are not homogeneous and you will bring this understanding to the way that you approach your work and interact with clients, our partners and community organisations.

This role supports all of our fundraising activity so will give the post holder exposure to all areas of fundraising from Major Doors to Corporate Partnerships, Events and Fundraising Appeals. Alongside this the role will manage the relationships and support given to our Community Fundraisers and our participants in London to Brighton and Ride 100 events.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about raising money to fund the work of The Bike Project.  You will need to have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects.  The role holder will need to have experience working in customer service and be confident using digital platforms and apps to enhance working practices. Although desirable, fundraising experience is not essential as training will be provided.

Being a small charity, we work in an agile manner which allows for creative ideas to flourish and new ideas to be implemented quickly. We hold donation sessions weekly out of our London and Birmingham workshops, so there is opportunity to see the impact of your work first hand.
