The Role

What will I be doing?

As Project Officer, Workforce Partnerships, you’ll be part of the Education and Workforce team, supporting our mission to build a strong, diverse physics workforce for the future. Your work will help leverage our evidence and insights to identify and develop institutional partnerships through which we can deliver sustainable impact against our Skills priorities.

You will also take a lead in celebrating the crucial role of physics-related technical talent in the workplace through operational administration of our flagship Technical Skills Awards.

You’ll support the delivery of projects, working closely with colleagues across the organisation, IOP Members and external stakeholders.

Projects and activities you may work on include:

• Supporting stakeholder mapping and engagement activities to drive impactful new partnership development.
• Helping to design and deliver workshops, events and engagement campaigns. As an example, this could include supporting the development of case studies, and digital and print collateral, to raise the awareness and visibility of physics-related routes to employment.
• Leading the annual cycle of delivery, administration and operation of the IOP’s Technical Skills Awards.
• Supporting the management of project processes including bids, contracts, MOUs, budgets and reporting.

About the Event

The Schools Triathlon is a fun, mass participation sporting event for 7–13 year olds. Its mission? To get more young people moving, having fun, and discovering the power of fundraising. In 2025, over 10,000 young people took part in 12 events, raising an incredible £1.5 million for Restless Development and local charities. Since it began, the Schools Triathlon has raised over £5 million—making it our flagship fundraising event.

About the Role

As the Fundraising Events Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering the Schools Triathlon series. You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Schools Triathlon Committee, event venues, local schools, participants, volunteers, and our event delivery partners.

You’ll take the lead on two to three Schools Triathlon events, managing all aspects of planning and delivery with the school and our third party event company. This includes delivering engaging school assemblies at local schools to inspire pupils to take part and fundraise for Restless Development.

Our volunteers are the heart of the Schools Triathlon and without them, these events simply couldn’t happen. This role will be crucial in recruiting, coordinating, and supporting volunteers before, during, and after each event.

With support from the Senior Fundraising Manager. You will:

• Develop and implement creative volunteer recruitment strategies.
• Build strong relationships with local community groups 
• Manage volunteer communications, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience.
• Work closely with each of the host schools to support them with their student and staff volunteers
• Lead on the Duke of Edinburgh volunteer programme, working closely with host schools to expand and strengthen this initiative.

This is a varied and hands-on role, offering plenty of opportunities to develop your skills across different areas of events and volunteer management. You’ll need to be proactive, adaptable, and able to manage your time effectively while staying calm under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll be working closely with a wide range of people.

Key Responsibilities:

Schools Triathlon Events:

• Support the planning and delivery of Schools Triathlon events from start to finish.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Schools Triathlon team to ensure smooth logistics, communications, and event-day operations.
• Attend meetings with schools, venues, and third-party suppliers to coordinate event logistics.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders including schools, committees, and delivery partners.

• Coordinate and support local volunteer groups to ensure each event is fully staffed.
• Work closely with the Senior Fundraising Manager and host schools to deliver and expand the Duke of Edinburgh volunteer programme.
• Identify creative ways to grow and strengthen the Schools Triathlon volunteer network.
• Manage the volunteer inbox, responding promptly and professionally to all enquiries.

Systems, Processes & Communications:

• Support the team with event communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses.
• Use DotDigital to deliver email communications to volunteers and event participants.
• Confidently use Excel to process data and maintain accurate records across internal and external databases.
• Log and manage data accurately in Eventrac (registration system) and Salesforce (CRM), including imports, new records, and regular data cleaning.
• Support the management of fundraising through JustGiving, ensuring all fundraising pages are correctly logged and tracked within the CRM. 

Others 

• Must attend the Schools Triathlons as needed across April, May and June and other occasional evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.
• Support on wider charity initiatives as and when needed
• Many of the schools we have relationships with are not accessible by public transport, so it is vital you have access to a reliable roadworthy vehicle. All travel will be reimbursed in accordance with Restless Development’s travel policy.
• Undertake any other duties as requested by the Senior Fundraising Manager. 
• Support the Senior Fundraising Manager with developing an individual giving process.

• Experience in planning and delivering events, ideally within the charity, education, or community sector.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Fundraising professional to join our Individual Giving Team, focussing on our mid value programme and assisting with the production and development of campaigns aimed specifically for this audience.

We’re looking for a Direct Marketing Executive who has excellent knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment is vital, you’ll also be able to demonstrate your knowledge and/or experience of stewarding donors by understanding the importance of meeting their needs.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to oversee the financial management, control and compliance functions of the College.

This is a pivotal leadership role within the Finance team, supporting the College’s mission to improve child health by ensuring strong financial governance, sound reporting, and long-term sustainability. Working closely with the Associate Director of Finance and senior leaders across the organisation, you will take responsibility for the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of all financial operations and reporting processes.

As Financial Controller, you will lead a team of six, overseeing financial control, statutory reporting, payroll, and compliance. You will ensure that robust internal controls are in place, and manage relationships with auditors, banks and investment partners.

This role will suit a qualified accountant with substantial experience in financial management and a collaborative leadership style.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the delivery of accurate and timely month-end and year-end processes, including group consolidations and statutory accounts
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax, audit and charity regulations (including SORP)

Head of IT Operations & Governance

About the Organisation

NFP People are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected international philanthropic foundation that uses the law as a tool to combat climate change and drive environmental and social justice. This not-for-profit organisation partners with leading legal experts and changemakers to create systemic, sustainable impact.

Operating across multiple time zones and jurisdictions, the foundation’s work depends on a secure, resilient, and trusted technology environment that enables seamless collaboration and protects sensitive data at every level.

The Role

We’re looking for an exceptional Head of IT Operations & Governance to oversee and advance the organisation’s technology infrastructure, governance, and information security.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position, ensuring the foundation’s systems are secure, efficient, and scalable to support its expanding global mission. You’ll manage outsourced providers, optimise cloud and Microsoft 365 systems, and ensure the organisation maintains exemplary standards in cybersecurity, compliance, and data protection.

Confidentiality, integrity, and discretion are paramount. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pressures surrounding technology management in a global, fast-moving, and high-stakes environment balancing operational delivery with the need for strategic foresight and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a secure, scalable IT environment aligned with organisational goals.
• Oversee the governance, risk, and compliance framework, embedding data protection and cybersecurity best practices.
• Drive strategic initiatives including Microsoft 365 and SharePoint adoption, digital process improvement, and infrastructure modernisation.
• Manage third-party service providers and ensure high-quality, responsive IT support.
• Establish strong monitoring, reporting, and audit mechanisms to maintain readiness and accountability.
• Foster digital confidence across teams through user training, guidance, and knowledge-sharing.
• Act as the senior point of contact for IT risk management, business continuity, and emerging technology trends.

About You

You are a trusted, discreet, and strategic technology professional with a track record of delivering secure, high-performing IT operations in complex organisations. You bring strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills, combined with the ability to lead confidently in sensitive and global contexts.

Essential skills and experience:

• Senior-level experience in IT operations, governance, or systems management.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments.
• Proven track record in cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience managing outsourced service providers and large-scale technology projects.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with sound judgment and discretion.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across international teams.

Desirable:

• Senior experience in the not-for-profit or philanthropic sector.
• Experience in a global organisation, understanding diverse operational contexts and technology pressures worldwide.

Working Arrangements

• This is a hybrid position, requiring at least 2 days per week onsite at either the Central London or Amsterdam office.
• The post is full-time and permanent; however, a 4-day working week will be considered. 
• Salary Range: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum
