Background

Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing. Job Context

The Operations Lead will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of Lepra’s UK operations. This includes managing office and facilities logistics, supporting key operational projects (such as the upcoming office move), and coordinating internal processes across HR, IT, governance, and finance systems.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Support post, office bookings, and workspace coordination.

Maintain a safe and compliant working environment (Fire Marshal responsibilities, health & safety checks).

Systems and Process Support

This exciting role will lead on all aspects of the finance function, including managing a team of two, overseeing the production of year-end accounts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and auditors, and preparing monthly management accounts for reports to the Senior managers and trustees. Responsibilities also include stewardship of the Foundation’s liquid assets, leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, verifying monthly payroll prepared by HR, and ensuring the efficient operation of the purchase ledger function.

What does the role involve?

• Coordinate across the Foundation and help prepare the annual statutory accounts and all schedules for audit and be the lead liaison with the auditors.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and budgets for review by senior management, providing analysis and other measures of performance.

As Head of Principal Donors, you will lead and manage the Foundation’s philanthropy programme, working closely with our senior leadership team and our founder to personally cultivate and steward the Foundation’s principal donors. The Partnerships Executive handles the management and development of Prostate Cancer UK’s strategic partnerships. You’ll be able to drive impact and value for both the charity and partners.

You’ll be working closely with key stakeholders to raise awareness amongst local communities across the UK and raise funds to invest into better treatments for men with prostate cancer. This role offers the chance to build strong and effective relationships both internally and externally and ensure that each partnership meets its goals. It will be necessary to show a diligent approach to partnership management as well as identify opportunities for growth. You’ll also be providing administrative support to the partnerships team including review of processes and ownership of monthly / quarterly reporting.

This is a six-month fixed term contract covering internal secondment within the team.

Organised and proactive, you’ll be able to prioritise your workload, manage multiple projects at once, and thrive when working to tight deadlines. We’re after someone with a can-do attitude and persuasive flair, able to engage partners imaginatively and motivated to turn every opportunity into success.

Good public speaking, presentation and organisation skills are desirable, with some knowledge of issues and trends in the charity sector. A natural empathy for men and their families affected by prostate cancer is also essential and can inspire others to get involved.

How and where we work

We are all expected to be in the office (SE1 2QN) 4 days a month (pro-rata for part time colleagues) to work with and alongside colleagues in our immediate team and beyond to build connections and strong working relationships and for various meetings with partners across London. We value that face-to-face time for relationships, projects and decisions.

Executive Assistant

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to provide essential support to a busy Chief Executive and senior team.

Position: Executive Assistant
Location: Hybrid – two days a week in London (White City) and home-based
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (pro rata if part-time)
Hours: Full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week) Hours can be worked flexibly – working pattern to be agreed at point of role offer.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role supporting the leadership of a national organisation making a real difference to young people.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing high-level administrative support including diary management, meeting coordination and travel arrangements
• Supporting the Trustee Board and Sub-Committees with scheduling, agendas, papers, minutes and actions

• Drafting, proofreading and formatting a range of documents and correspondence

• Proven experience as an EA/PA at senior level

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with AI productivity tools
