About IKWRO

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.

We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.

IKWRO also provides training for women and girls to help them understand their rights in the UK. In partnership with other organisations, we assist survivors of abuse with accessing English language classes and education, training and employment opportunities.

As well as supporting women and girls directly, we offer advice and training for professionals from the statutory and voluntary sectors, to better understand the needs of the women and girls we represent, the types of abuse they experience and to provide best practice prevention and support services.

We campaign to increase awareness and improve laws and policies to tackle all forms of “honour” based abuse and harmful practices including; forced marriage, child marriage, marital captivity, female genital mutilation, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, discrimination by sharia courts and to push for better laws and policies to protect women’s and girl’s rights.

The post-holder will be required to work in a confidential setting and provide non directive support to improve mental health and social functioning of women who are experiencing different forms of gender based violence. The post-holder will be professionally trained, accredited and work within the BACP/BPS Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018) or equivalent. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·Provide a service in line with BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines or equivalent.

·To support the management team with the strategic development of IKWRO’s counselling services. 

·The provision of effective and high-quality Counselling and Psychotherapy services to IKWRO’s clients through making use of up to date service standards and IKWRO’s Counselling Guidelines.

·To agree a counselling contract with IKWRO’s clients and provide a timely, responsive and appropriate service.

·Carrying out a small one to one clinical caseload and/or depending on the team’s clinical capacity.

·To manage waiting lists according to the level of risk, delivery plans and organisational priorities. 

·To manage the delivery against targets and in accordance with contract requirements. 

·To lead, line manage and develop the counselling services staff as required.

·To do the clinical supervision of Associate Counsellors and trainees.

·Helping clients work towards a deeper understanding of their concerns;

·Maintain clients’ records ensuring accordance with IKWRO’s policies particularly as they relate to confidentiality and data protection.

·Making appropriate referrals and signposting to other services if needed;

·Attending clinical individual supervision, managerial supervision and training courses;

·Liaising, as necessary, with other agencies and individuals to help make changes based on the issues raised by clients;

·Liaising with IKWRO’s staff.

·Maintaining and updating accurate digital records of all cases and up to date monitoring and evaluation databases as well as writing reports.

·Experienced in delivering a variety of therapeutic interventions from different therapeutic modalities such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic, Existential and Humanistic therapy.

Key responsibilities of the MI Data Systems Manager include:

• Supporting the Deputy Director and Senior Systems Manager to develop, implement and manage the MI service.
• Monitoring of data integrity and quality within the database.
• Preparing the submission of mandatory management information to the Department for Education within set deadlines and to national standards.
• Supporting a MI helpline to users of the system.
• Interrogation of the database to conduct analysis and create reports.
• Developing and delivering training in the use of the database.
• Managing a team member.
• Taking lead responsibility for the production, analysis and presentation of MI reports.
• Maintaining a high level of understanding of all national requirements relating to the service.

About the Role

As Senior Stewardship and Events Manager, you will be leading on the creation of ambitious funding propositions which will be attractive to high value donors and funders, working with key stakeholders from across the organisation to fully understand our existing services and transformational projects; translating complex information into compelling cases for support to be used by our High Value Partnerships team in funding applications, pitches and proposals. You will work closely with Recovery Services, Data and Insights and Finance teams to ensure all relevant information is gathered and reporting and evaluation processes are in place.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. The Meridian One Community Garden serves as a space where we focus on cultivating fruit, salad, and vegetable produce. We involve the local community by hosting weekly volunteer gardening sessions, welcoming school visits, and organising various community events.

TCV is seeking a Senior Project Officer with expertise in community engagement, event coordination, and managing community facilities. The garden, which was established one year ago, encompasses facilities such as an office, a community meeting/education room, toilets, and a spacious polytunnel.

The Senior Project Officer will oversee a range of tasks including planning and executing community events, maintaining site Health & Safety, leading volunteers in practical projects like building wooden planters, tending to garden plants, and ensuring timely completion of administrative duties such as procurement, risk assessments, social media updates, and task reporting. They will also lead activities for the under 5’s Nature Explorers group, school visits, themed evening events, and family weekends. Additionally, they'll organise corporate volunteering sessions and cover holiday shifts for the Green Gym gardening program. Previous events have included 'Pampering and Enrichment,' 'Repurpose, Recycle, Reinvent' workshops, and a Black Women in Conservation and Horticulture photo exhibition, as well as our weekend family events featuring free food, music, and arts and crafts activities.

This role involves being friendly and open to various people who visit, from the toddlers attending the Nature Explorers club, to our volunteer gardeners, to senior staff from the local authority. There are two other people working part-time at the garden, and TCV provides thorough training and support from a helpful local team.

Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience of gardening and/or nature conservation. However, what’s equally important is that the Senior Project Officer has initiative, is welcoming, and comfortable working with a wide range people. We’d therefore welcome applications from candidates who can display those personable qualities, with perhaps experience of working in a community centre setting.

In Spring 2024, TCV will be taking on the management of an additional nearby meanwhile space. The new Senior Project Officer will join us at an exciting time when we begin to turn that space into a new community tree nursery. Working with local people to gather seeds from significant trees in the surrounding area, we aim to grow saplings which will go on to be distributed for planting around London.

Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Given the nature of the role the Senior Project Officer will need to work from the garden during these times. Occasionally, to avoid lone working in the absence of another colleague, there will be the opportunity to work from home. Weekend family events take place on Saturdays, four times a year and there are approximately six evening events which take place between April to September. This post holder would be expected to attend those evening and weekend events.

As Senior Committees Officer, you can manage a small team to support effective member engagement through committee secretariat services. This will suit you if have managed or supervised a team. This could be an opportunity if you are looking to move into formal management.

You will have experience of managing committee governance and support to enable efficiencies in administration processes. Such efficiencies will link to development of a new CRM.

The College is a professional membership organisation dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of pathology.
