Sitting in the immigration team, you will work on our Legal Aid contract alongside a team of Immigration Advisors working on a mix of grant funded projects for migrants unable to afford private representation. You will work within a supportive environment, reporting to our Immigration Manager, and be able to develop your areas of expertise. We’re a small and collaborative team so you will have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the organisation. 

Main Roles

• Manage a full caseload of complex immigration matters funded by legal aid, including asylum, human rights, and deportation cases.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations (IAAS, SRA, LAA).
• Complete funding applications, manage provider submissions, track time, prepare and submit legal aid bills and ensure compliance with LAA obligations.
• Provide ad hoc supervision, mentoring or training to members of the immigration team working on related immigration matters.

We are now recruiting a Team Lead for our Connect to Work IPS service across Kingston and Sutton. This is an opportunity to help shape high-quality IPS delivery and support a team to achieve strong, meaningful outcomes for clients.

What you’ll be doing

If you were working with us, you would be leading a team of six Employment Specialists, providing day-to-day direction, supervision, and practical guidance to ensure excellent IPS practice. You would offer regular one-to-one supervision, in-field mentoring, training, and caseload management support. Your leadership would help the team deliver consistent quality and outcomes across the service.

You would work closely with clinical team leads, contract commissioners, and health partners, maintaining strong and positive relationships to support collaborative, client-led work. You would also contribute to improving performance by identifying challenges, supporting solutions, and modelling excellent IPS practice.

Data analysis and monthly reporting would form part of your responsibilities, ensuring that performance information is accurate, meaningful, and useful. You would work alongside the Operations Manager to monitor progress, address areas for improvement, and maintain high IPS fidelity. While the Operations Manager leads on quarterly reporting, your support and insight would be essential.

Although this is a busy and varied role, you would not be working alone. You would be supported by the Operations Manager and the wider Head Office team, with access to training, guidance, and practical help to enable you and your team to succeed.

What you’ll need

You do not need previous team management experience. Instead, we are looking for:

• Experience as an Employment Specialist or Senior Employment Specialist.

• A proven track record of achieving strong performance in outcomes and quality.

• Confidence demonstrating IPS principles and modelling good practice.

• Experience improving performance or supporting change, whether individually or across a team.

• Advantageous (but not essential): involvement in an IPS fidelity review.

The Role

This role will play a crucial part in supporting a wide range of fundraising, marketing, and communications activities for Cosmic. As a key member of the Income Generation team, the individual will help raise vital funds and awareness that enable and enhance the charity’s work, whilst also contributing to the delivery of effective marketing and communications that promote our impact and engage our audiences.

This role requires someone with a genuine interest in working across multiple fundraising areas — from corporate partnerships and community fundraising to individual giving, events and challenges, trusts and foundations, event support for Cosmic led events, and in-memory and legacy giving. You will bring strong organisational, communication, and creative skills to support activity across these streams. In addition, you will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop engaging social media content, enhance brand visibility, and contribute to impactful digital and supporter communications across all of Cosmic’s channels.

This varied and dynamic role will include research, administration, planning, content creation, and creative thinking. You will support the delivery of fundraising activities, events, initiatives, and campaigns, as well as contribute to marketing efforts such as social media, email newsletters, website updates, and storytelling. A key part of the role will be ensuring our supporters, donors, and online audiences receive high-quality, consistent, and engaging communications. With the wider team’s support, the role will also aid the growth of new corporate partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fundraising and income generation support

• Working alongside and supporting members of the Income Generation team, gaining a better understanding of the various fundraising and income generation activities.
• Be a key contact for fundraising enquiries.
• Collation and sending of information, including fundraising materials, to potential and current supporters and advising on queries relating to fundraising.
• Support the organisation, planning, promotion, and delivery of fundraising, stewardship and other events.
• Ensure that all fundraising activity operates with the Fundraising Regulator’s guidelines, code of practice and GDPR practices.
• Identify and support opportunities to raise awareness of the charity including giving presentations, attending meetings and local events.
• Aid the growth of individual giving programmes, including regular giving, one-off donations, and donor stewardship journeys.
• Assist in researching, writing, and submitting grant applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
• Maintain accurate donor records using the charity’s CRM system, Donorfy, and ensure data is up to date, accurate, compliant, relevant and reportable.
• Support the planning and delivery of fundraising campaigns, appeals, and community events.
• Assist with event set-up and pack-down, ensuring all materials and equipment are in place.
• Provide excellent donor care and stewardship, including timely thank-you communications and proactive engagement with supporters.
• Help identify new fundraising opportunities and potential partners through research and networking.
• Meet with supporters in person and provide a first-class experience for them by providing tours of the units and any tailored information they require.
• Support the administration and logistics for fundraising events, including volunteer coordination and post-event evaluation.

2. Marketing and communications responsibilities

• Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, the website, and campaign materials to raise awareness of the charity’s work.
• Social media content capture and uploading of activities at all Cosmic led events onto all relevant channels.
• Coordinate social media channels, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Support marketing campaigns for fundraising events, appeals, and awareness initiatives.
• Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to ensure brand consistency across all supporter-facing materials.
• Gather stories, quotes and visuals from beneficiaries, supporters, and partner organisations (with appropriate permissions) to promote activities and support to Cosmic.
• Update and maintain website content, ensuring information is accurate, compelling, and user-friendly.
• Assist in producing digital assets, such as graphics, short videos, and email campaigns.
• Conduct basic analytics reporting for digital platforms, tracking engagement, reach, and campaign impact.
• Help coordinate Public Relations activities, including drafting press releases and maintaining media contact lists, in liaison with the Marketing and Communications Manager.

3. Cross-team and administrative responsibilities

• Work closely with the Senior Fundraising Executive, and wider Income Generation team to ensure smooth coordination between fundraising and marketing activities.
• Liaise with clinical partners, hospital staff, and external stakeholders to gather information that supports fundraising and communications content.
• Support the implementation of internal processes for campaign planning, supporter stewardship, and content production.
• Attend events, meetings, and training sessions as needed to represent the charity.
• Provide general administrative support to the fundraising and marketing functions including processing donations, handling enquiries, and maintaining shared resources.
• Contribute ideas and feedback to help refine and develop the charity’s fundraising and marketing approach.
• Audit the inventory of all materials necessary for both events and volunteering.
• Sending thank you letters to supporters in a timely manner.
• Spending time meeting with families and staff on the units, using this time as an opportunity to build positive relationships. Supporting the Service Delivery team with massage days for the clinical staff and other key events such as World Prematurity Day and other ad hoc and seasonal activities.
• The role is incredibly varied, and no two days are the same.

About the role

Reporting in to the Strategy & Performance Lead, the Business Planning & Performance Specialist will co-lead the corporate planning and reporting cycle, cascading the global strategy into annual corporate plans and OKRs, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 

The post-holder will partner with their assigned departments to support them to be high performing teams with business plans aligned to organisational values and goals, and together with the Strategy and Performance Lead and the Business Insights & Intelligence Analyst, they ensure alignment between departmental objectives, operational plans, measures of success and support high performance.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Business Planning & Performance Specialist will include:

• Support the Strategy and Performance Lead in setting and maintaining the strategic planning framework cascading strategy into annual business plans for all business units, enabling alignment with organisational values and goals.
• Co-Lead Corporate Planning and Reporting: Co-lead the organisation-wide corporate planning and reporting cycle—shaping the organisation annual corporate plan, defining OKRs, and tracking progress. This is a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen our work on climate justice and resilience, bringing a distinctly feminist, anti-racist and decolonial perspective to one of the most important areas of global humanitarian and development work.

In this role, you will help drive ActionAid UK’s strategic thinking on resilience and climate across our programmes, research, and policy engagement. You will play a central part in defining how ActionAid UK positions itself within these thematic areas, supporting both UK-based influence and the wider international federation. A key aspect of your work will involve developing strong alliances across the sector, guiding organisational thinking on emerging issues such as anticipatory action and risk-based financing, and ensuring our approaches consistently reflect our values of shifting power and promoting women’s leadership. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across business development, providing technical insight to shape high-quality proposals and support strategic partnerships that align with ActionAid’s commitments to anti-racism and climate justice. You will also contribute to designing new concepts, strengthening tender submissions, and supporting the growth of innovative, values-driven programming.

Across programme quality and implementation, you will be a specialist resource for teams working in humanitarian and development contexts, offering targeted technical guidance that supports country programmes to deliver to ActionAid’s humanitarian signature: shifting power, accountability to affected communities, and women-led resilience. You will help shape monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting processes, ensuring the organisation is continually improving how it generates and uses evidence.

Your work will also extend deeply into research and policy, where you will help build strategic research partnerships, promote decolonial approaches to evidence generation, and support the publication and sharing of learning within academic, governmental and practitioner spaces. You will inform policy positions and contribute to key engagements with governmental actors, including FCDO & global climate policy spaces (UNFCCC), always working in close partnership with ActionAid’s advocacy and policy teams. This role also plays a vital part in ActionAid’s campaigning work. You will provide leadership for the UK chapter of the Federation’s Global Climate Justice Campaign, chairing the Steering Committee, supporting research that underpins the campaign’s messaging, and helping to deliver effective collaboration with ActionAid Federation Members. As needed, you will act as a spokesperson to amplify ActionAid’s climate justice messages to the media and the wider public.

Externally, you will represent ActionAid within UK and global spaces, building relationships with like-minded organisations and identifying opportunities to elevate ActionAid’s influence and visibility on resilience and climate justice.

To succeed in this role, you will bring substantial experience of working in humanitarian contexts on resilience and climate programming, ideally with an international organisation. You should have a deep understanding of humanitarian architecture, key donors, and external standards, as well as hands-on experience with resilience approaches such as disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, sustainable agriculture or natural resource management. A strong grounding in feminist and human-rights-based approaches is essential, along with a clear understanding of anti-racism and what it means to decolonise aid in practice. You should be comfortable supporting teams, conducting analysis, generating research, communicating complex ideas with clarity, and representing an organisation publicly. The role will also require regular overseas travel, sometimes to insecure environments at short notice.

A postgraduate degree, experience in Africa, Asia or the Middle East, additional languages and academic publications are all beneficial but not essential.

About Working Well Trust 

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. 

We are now recruiting IPS Employment Advisors to join our IPS service across Kingston and Sutton. This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week, following the principles of the IPS model to support people into paid employment. 

What you’ll be doing 

If you were working with us, your days would be varied and people-centred. You would manage a caseload of clients with mental health support needs, people experiencing homelessness, and people with offending histories, offering one-to-one support to help them secure and sustain employment that matches their preferences. 

You would provide person-centred guidance using the IPS approach (training is provided), helping clients build confidence, prepare for work, and navigate challenges that may arise. A key part of the role involves engaging employers, promoting the value of our service, and identifying suitable job opportunities.

You would work closely with NHS clinical teams, contributing to an integrated approach to recovery through employment. This includes attending team meetings, coordinating support, and maintaining clear, client-led communication. The role also involves working to agreed targets while maintaining a high-quality, supportive service. 

What you’ll need 

You do not need previous employment support experience. What matters most is that you bring: 

• A genuine desire to support people with mental health support needs and/or learning disabilities to achieve their employment goals. 

• Motivation to help people from all backgrounds move into meaningful work. 

• Confidence speaking with a wide range of people, from clients to employers. 

• Strong organisation skills, with the ability to multitask and manage your workload. 

• Willingness to learn the IPS model and become confident approaching employers.
