Established in 1988, YES is a youth charity offering support, advice and one-to-one engagement on a range of issues including housing and homelessness, benefits and family crisis, pregnancy and young parenting, mental health counselling and maintaining wellbeing. YES offers its support to all young people between the ages of 11 -25 across North East Essex.
The ideal candidate will:
· Be a strategic, inspirational leader and team player, with experience of successfully managing and communicating organisational development
· Demonstrate senior management experience, preferably at Director / Chief Executive level
· Have previously worked in the third/ voluntary sector, preferably in the field of working with young people
· Have achieved success in developing and delivering effective, high impact services
· Have a proven track record of securing funding through a range of activities
· Have knowledge of charitable governance and experience of working closely with Trustees
Education and Qualifications
Degree level or equivalent.
Salary range: £47,000 to £52,000 per year FTE
Hours: 28 hours per week over four days
Location: Colchester and Holland-on-Sea, Essex

About Riverside Counselling Service
Riverside Counselling Service is a mental health charity supporting the mental wellbeing of adults and young people in South Oxfordshire, including Henley, Wallingford, Didcot and Berinsfield. We are a highly respected charity providing affordable counselling, group counselling and drop-in services to adults and young people from 12 years of age upwards. Now in our 36th year, Riverside is looking for a passionate, driven and dynamic leader to continue to shape our change and transformation agenda and provide strategic insight and direction across our work.
About the role
We are looking for a Chief Executive officer who is passionate about the mental health of our communities. They will lead Riverside Counselling Service in defining and delivering its strategy and ensuring it uses its funding and income to provide accessible mental health services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, and experience of working in the mental health sector or allied disciplines. They will also have extensive experience of fundraising and be happy to take a proactive role in this area. They will take an empathic and collaborative approach to leading and managing teams. The candidate will be a self-starter, adept at prioritisation, possess excellent communication and networking skills and combine a strong understanding of the distinctive nature of leading a charity with great management skills.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Planning
· Work closely with the Board of Trustees and the senior leadership team to devise, implement and deliver Riverside’s strategy and business plan
· Identify growth, partnership and development opportunities in line with the needs of communities we serve
· Keep up to date with new developments in the field of mental health and any related government policies, reviewing in line with charitable objectives and strategic direction
Leadership & People Management
· Overall responsibility for day-to-day management of the organisation, ensuring that it is delivering against its vision, mission and strategic objectives, in line with its values
· Lead, empower and inspire the staff and volunteers creating a collaborative, transparent and safe working environment
· Champion and embed a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion across the organisation
Fundraising and Business Development
· Work closely with the Fundraising Manager and Treasurer (Trustee) to develop an annual budget and ensure a funding strategy to delivery sustainability
· Work with the Fundraising Manager in writing persuasive and successful bid proposals and applications to a diverse portfolio of funders
· Work with the Senior Leadership Team to explore and implement new funding streams to support the charity’s work.
Financial Management
· Ensure the financial health of the organisation, monitoring financial position and forecasts against budget and ensuring strong financial governance is in place for
· Work closely with the Treasurer to ensure financial transparency and that the organisation is adhering to regulatory and legal obligations
Operations and Service Delivery
· Oversee all aspects of service delivery including safeguarding, ensuring excellent and ethical delivery of a client-centred service
· Monitor the quality and quantity of services delivered, outcome measures and feedback, reporting on the impact of services
· Ensure that all counsellors are supported in their professional development and client delivery with a clear framework of support and guidance
Partnerships, Engagement & Advocacy
· Develop and manage relationships with key charitable stakeholders, including other community and charitable organisations, counselling networks, grant and funding bodies, commissioners, regulatory and professional bodies, corporate partners and individual donors
· Act as the public face of Riverside Counselling Services and represent the charity across the mental health sector, within professional bodies and within the media
· Keep in touch with the needs of the community and the charity’s service users ensuring that services are developed in line with these priorities.
Governance
· Work closely with the board to ensure they are able to fulfil their governance responsibilities and maintain high standards of governance
· Ensure the charity is meeting its overall purpose within a clear governance framework with associated policies, procedures and best practice guidelines
In addition, the postholder will be required to undertake any other activities appropriate to and commensurate with, their level of responsibility and accountability.

We're looking for an ambitious and proactive Head of Development to join our small, passionate team and support the delivery of our mission.
About the Role
The Head of Development will work closely with the CEO, Head of Programmes & Funding and Head of Operations & Finance, as part of the SLT, setting the strategy and taking responsibility for income generation across Frank Water including charitable fundraising as well as commercial sales and development through our Social Enterprise.
You will lead an integrated communications strategy which includes thought leadership, brand development, communicating impact, agreeing marketing messaging of commercial opportunities and of fundraising opportunities.
You will play a pivotal role in integrating income generation across the charity and the social enterprise, setting and driving the strategy to increase income from fundraising and communications, and developing delivery of the social enterprise services and products.
Your team, who you’ll work with and line manage to deliver the strategy comprises the Fundraising & Communications Manager, Corporate Partnerships Manager and Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities:

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have experience in income generation through fundraising and/or through commercial channels, with a proven track record in securing 6 figure gifts and/or contracts. You will be entrepreneurial and dynamic, keen to make your mark and develop sustainable income streams to enable increased impact for the environment and communities we work with. You are a natural relationship manager with high emotional intelligence and a proven track record of managing teams with a professional, enabling style.
You will be proactive, organised, and an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail. You will have proven your communications skills and have a gift for quickly building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You are self-motivated, tenacious, and solutions focussed.
It is essential you’re passionate about social and environmental change and you will be keen to develop an understanding of all aspects of our work. You are able to travel throughout the UK when required to meet donors and partners (TOIL where appropriate). There will be opportunities to visit our projects overseas and you will be comfortable to travel for up to two weeks at a time when these opportunities arise.
You’ll have experience, or be ready to take on the challenge of working in a small, dynamic and ambitious organisation where the scope of work is broad and you’re happy to work on all levels, where days often include both strategic meetings and getting ‘stuck in’ with the team.
You’ll be able to work from our central Bristol office at least one day a week, enabling face to face working with the team and opportunity to support the SLT in building a collaborative and supportive culture.

EDUCATION FOR ALL MOROCCO transforms the lives of marginalised girls, in the High Atlas mountains, enabling them to fulfil their potential, reducing social injustice and inequalities, improving the quality of life for women, and their communities.
Prior to the Al Haouz earthquake in September 2023 EFA funded six boarding houses, enabling young women to access senior school education. Five boarding houses were destroyed. Astonishingly, no girls or staff were in them at the time.
We are unashamedly ambitious to build on EFAs transformational work over the last two decades. Our Covid Recovery Strategy focussed on widening our impact, and the earthquake has just made us even more determined to deliver on our promise, because we have never been more relevant.
Due to the extraordinary generosity of donors, we have funding in place to support a major rebuilding programme. However we don't want to simply rebuild. Due to covid and the earthquake there is a lot of catching up to do.
As Head of Fundraising & Communications you will work with the trustees to deliver the strategic vision, by developing and implementing a successful fundraising and communications strategy. A new website is under construction and the successful applicant will play a leading role in determining its fundraising functionality, content, and messaging.

The Volunteer Development Assistant will be the main point of contact for volunteer enquiries and requests and will work across Back Up to understand volunteer needs in order for the volunteer team to grow and support delivery of our life changing services. They will be responsible for the administration and coordination of the annual calendar of volunteer training events ensuring that prospective volunteers feel supported and well prepared, and everything is in place for delivery of high-quality training.

Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Director of Training to take over strategic leadership of the Reprezent Training Programme. You’ll build on our existing model to develop and finance a full calendar of training delivery, working alongside the existing team of trainers and station staff to maximise the potential impact on our beneficiaries. Our programme has provided life-changing opportunities to thousands of previous trainees, both within and outside of the media industry, and this role would give you the chance to put your own unique spin on our established and well-loved brand.
Who We Are
Reprezent is a not-for-profit social enterprise and specialist youth development organisation. Our award-winning approach helps young people to realise their full personal potential by providing training and development programmes that enable them to jumpstart their careers and develop a core suite of social, emotional and broadcast skills. We have been a pivotal stepping stone for hundreds of artists and broadcasting presenters aspiring to break into the mainstream over the last two decades, including Stormzy, Munya Chawawa, Jorja Smith and Jamz Supernova, and have helped thousands more young people to meet other personal development goals.
At the helm of our operation is Reprezent Radio, a dynamic youth-led community radio station based in South London. Since 2010 the station’s hallmark has been empowering young voices and championing the narratives of diverse and underrepresented communities, and as a result many of our beneficiaries are those deemed ‘hardest-to-reach’ (young black South Londoners, early school leavers, second generation immigrants).
Our unique training model combines in-person training courses with work experience placements at the station, resulting in a cohesive programme of entry-to-advanced level training provision and an active waiting list of over two thousand people.
Location
This role is a hybrid position, working both from home and with regular attendance required at our office/training space in Peckham and our station headquarters in Brixton.
Responsibilities

Work with the Executive Team to develop a Sustainable Growth Strategy for our training department. This should contain concrete plans for income generation and beneficiary impact KPIs for the short, medium and long term. This process will involve:

Strategic analysis of competitors and market need.

Critical evaluation of existing frameworks and assets.
-
Researching available grants and fundraising opportunities.
-
Exploring other revenue opportunities through networks and brand partnerships.

Once the Sustainable Growth Strategy has been drawn up, management of its implementation and ongoing development. This will include:

Writing and developing bids to appropriate funders and corporate partners.

Undertaking dynamic reviews of the programme after each major round of delivery, reviewing trainee feedback and outcomes and adapting the provision accordingly.

Developing new offerings to meet market need.
-
Overseeing work experience placements within the radio station, ensuring that the progress and wellbeing of beneficiaries is monitored and developed.

Optimising the use of available facilities.

Overseeing the end-to-end delivery of funded projects, from application through to evaluation.

Line managing the training team.
Requirements

Significant experience in strategic planning and programme development.

A proven track record of writing and delivering large successful fundraising bids.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Strong leadership and project management skills.

Salary Range
£40,000-£50,000pa, depending on experience.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
- An excellent track record of securing significant funds through a variety of income streams.
- Strong understanding of best fundraising practice and ideally a qualification

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead and drive our fundraising function, ensuring the organisation has sufficient income, and explore opportunities for continued income growth. With experience of effective income generation across all income streams, you will have specific focus on the growth areas of Corporate Giving and Philanthropic Giving, confidently seeking and developing long term relationships. You will also represent the organisation to external stakeholders, ensure donor stewardship is effective, and build our donor base locally and nationally in line with our national expansion.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Service Design team on a permanent contract. The Fund is committed to growing user-centred design skills and best practice across the organisation, as well as embedding these approaches, tools, and techniques into our everyday work, especially in terms of our funding. As a Business Analyst, you have the ability and vision to deliver changes and improvements that provide lasting added value. You are instrumental in facilitating the design and development of accessible user-centred services, supporting our grant-holders, the communities they serve, and the Fund’s frontline staff. Working with a User-centred Design approach in a multidisciplinary effort you are expected to ensure the pieces fit together.
You’ll join our dedicated Service design team of 14 staff but often working in smaller cross functional teams where you'll be at the heart of the product; driving this forward, gaining insight into users' intentions and behaviours, and utilising this knowledge to create solutions that are accessible and inclusive, and meet customer needs. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll also maintain strong relationships with our key stakeholders in the business.
Who are we looking for?
· You will have one years experience of Business Analysis, with good understanding of the full design and development cycle from research, analysing complex user and business requirements, to prototyping through to test and launch.
· You’re genuinely interested in and passionate about engaging and communicating effectively with customers and developers to deliver the best possible user experience.
· Critical to your success is your ability to develop an expert understanding of the needs of our users, both internal and external. You champion these needs as you develop prototypes and designs to improve services. ·
· Your role may potentially cover a wide range of organisational challenges – anything that involves a process or an end-to-end service. You’re expected to look for ways to continually improve these services and to be an advocate within for continuous improvement within the Fund.
· Your role requires you to engage effectively with users and stakeholders (including at senior level) to ensure they are clear on the benefits of the products/services, ensuring that their feedback is being used to inform ongoing improvements.
· You need good attention to detail and an ability to cut through large amounts of data and opinion to get to the heart of what matters. You are recognised as a problem solver with the ability to make pragmatic decisions and get buy-in from others.
