As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for growing brand awareness, strengthening donor engagement, managing their digital presence and delivering high-quality content. You will lead a small team covering social media, content and creative, and corporate communications ensuring their work is aligned with the charity’s mission. This is a full-time, permanent role remote working, with 1-2 days a month in London for meetings (reasonable travel expenses covered within UK).
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have at least five years’ senior experience within a digital and performance marketing environment. You will have extensive understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and executing channel marketing at pace and efficiency. Knowledge of planning, executing and/or managing all digital marketing activities across SE, Email, Social and PPC is essential for this role. You will be highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that inform, educate, inspire and convince prospecting, existing and lapsed givers. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent influencing skills with donors, colleagues, and partners. You will possess a cultural awareness and be able to communicate sensitively within faith-based contexts.

Your role in our vision
We are looking for an ambitious, experienced Corporate Partnership Lead with a strong track record of growing, and managing high value Retail, strategic and commercial partnerships that exceed income targets and help to drive societal change. The successful applicant will be the external face and day to day lead for Marie Curie's large, high-value corporate partnership with Morrisons.
What you will be doing
- Leading the day-to-day management and growth, of one of our high value partnerships, focusing on staff & colleague fundraising, cause related marketing and project funding to meet and exceed financial targets.
- Working with the Senior Corporate Partnership Lead to identify strategic opportunities within the retailer that achieve partnership goals, support business objectives, and enable the partnerships to drive societal change.
- Leading on the development and delivery of robust, creative, and commercially strong partnership plans, stewardship, communications, and fundraising plans, and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve this.
- Achieve and exceed financial targets agreed and report on all financial arrangements with corporate clients ensuring that all income and expenditure is accounted for and appropriately included in the budget.
- Undertake day to day line management duties including setting objectives, holding regular one to ones, coaching and identifying development opportunities to nurture the talent of the team.

Key Criteria:
- Proven track record in Strategic partnership and project planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation in a commercial corporate-charity partnership setting.
- Experience with successfully pitching and retaining existing partners, from proposal development to employee vote strategies.
- Experience of meeting and exceeding income targets.
- Experience of identifying, prospecting, and securing income opportunities with corporate partners.
- Strong knowledge of corporate charity landscape, key sector and partnership trends, commercial insight, and awareness.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate with a wide range of audiences at all levels.
- A creative thinker with an eye for detail who can come up with innovative ideas for company approaches, fundraising, communication, and stewardship campaigns.
- A strong people manager with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

The Role
The Policy and Communications work is critical to ensuring that the organisation are at the forefront of the debate on early years education and childcare. You will help secure high quality media coverage and support our political influencing work. Working with the PR Manager, you will take responsibility for monitoring media coverage, creating engaging content for press releases and news features, as well as supporting policy research.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the PR Manager to deliver the media relations strategy to ensure effective communication of key messages to target audiences via the national, trade, and social media
- Identify and create print, broadcast and digital opportunities for maximising the reach and impact
- Monitor the media and respond promptly to new developments, compiling and circulating information about media impact
- Ownership of the day-to-day operation of media and policy contacts, particularly with compiling and maintaining a library of contact details
- Undertake research to explore policy issues as agreed with the senior management team
- Liaise with press and media contacts to maximise positive exposure and coverage across UK national and trade media
- Support in finding suitable nurseries as case studies and spokespeople for the press and broadcast media
- Publish press releases and comments on the website and circulate to relevant members and stakeholders
- Assist with internal and external speaking engagements
- Write and produce material for member magazine Nursery News as well as other member communications and publications
- Contribute towards the delivery of social media presence
- Contribute to developing the research programme, including compiling and publicising surveys, analysing results and writing reports
About You
We are looking for someone with outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and write engaging material.
You will be enthusiastic and creative and able to digest information and to understand and interpret complex issues for a variety of audiences.

- To support the development of effective links with Combined Authorities and other devolved administrations

- Maintain and optimise the HR system (Cezanne) and provide accurate HR data and reporting to senior leaders
- Develop and improve HR processes and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

- Coordinate learning and development activity in line with the organisational plan
- Lead the annual appraisal and mid-year review processes
- Work closely with the EDI working group to support and implement inclusive practices

About You
This role would suit an experienced HR generalist with a collaborative approach, who enjoys working in a small, values-led team.
Essential experience and skills include:
- Proven experience in HR operations, ideally in a standalone or SME setting
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, including the Equality Act
- Ability to manage systems and use HR data to generate insight
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Skilled in process improvement and implementing best practice
- Experience supporting inclusive recruitment and staff development
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) preferred
A background in the charity, arts or creative sectors would be beneficial but is not essential.

We are recruiting a Commercial Business Development Lead to drive growth of Sands’ partnerships programme. Role Purpose
The Executive Assistant is an important role within our organisation, working closely with the CEO and leadership team. This is a dynamic, fast-paced position at the heart of a globally significant initiative. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the CEO, helping translate vision into action and ensuring high-level stakeholders receive timely, professional and thoughtful communication.

Main duties

Proactively manage the CEO’s diary, inbox and meeting schedule to ensure strategic alignment and use of time

Draft, edit and manage correspondence, briefing notes, and presentations on behalf of the CEO and leadership team

Coordinate and support internal and external meetings, including logistics, agenda preparation, taking accurate minutes and tracking decisions and actions that arise
-
Support the CEO to track progress on key priorities, ensuring deadlines are met and decisions are followed up

Provide administrative and organisational support for events, travel and itineraries (UK and international) and other logistics

Manage the CEO’s social media accounts as directed, posting content and responding to key contacts

Financial Administration - gather and provide financial information to Finance co-ordinator, gather and co-ordinate receipts etc

Maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, partners and board members with professionalism and tact

Assist the CEO and leadership team with additional administration/ organisational tasks at their discretion

Assisting with research of projects, e.g. potential partner research
Essential skills and experience

A minimum of five years of experience providing high-level administrative support in a busy organisation

Proficient in workplace software including Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, Trello and able to learn to navigate new systems quickly

Experience of upwardly managing senior leaders with limited time and high responsibility

Experience managing external communications with senior stakeholders

Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and produce coherent reports and minutes

A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to anticipate needs and adapt to changing priorities

Excellent time management skills: the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines is key

About the role
We’re looking for a Social Worker to support children and young people diagnosed with cancer in our Leeds Team.
We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families using a needs based assessment framework. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.
This role is part home, part site-based. Your contractual base will be both Home and Leeds General Infirmary and St James's Hospital

What do I need?
The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:
- A recognised Social Worker qualification and current registration with Social Work England/ Scottish Social Services Council/Social Care Wales/Northern Ireland Social Care Council
- Experience working with children, young people and their families/carers in a social care setting.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally in an NHS setting.
- Sound knowledge of child and young people development.
- An understanding of the impact of serious illness for children, young people and their families.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

OUTLINE OF THE ROLE
Work with the Trustees to devise and lead new fundraising initiatives that fulfil the objectives of the Trust's Fundraising Strategy and annual income budget, with particular focus on regular giving across all alumni, gifts from high-net-worth individuals, and legacies. This will involve:
• Developing and delivering improved communications to build a stronger connected donor network.
• Locating, engaging and retaining alumni to support and promote the Trust, focused on ensuring their long-term impact on the Trust and its beneficiaries.
• Work with the Trustees/Trust Fundraising Committee to devise and implement new fundraising initiatives.
• Work with the Trustees/Trust Fundraising Committee to identify and engage new volunteers to support the Trust's activities.
KEY TASKS
Work with the Trustees and Fundraising Committee to devise and implement the following:
• Improve communications
The Trust has a strong, growing, and engaged network of loyal alumni who already support the Trust's beneficiaries through fundraising and volunteering. However, the Trust's communications need to be improved in order to increase the numbers of donors who provide sustained financial support and inspire all donors to raise their level of donations. Continually find opportunities to engage new donors and ensure clear consistent messaging.
• Manage and maintain donor data
The Trust needs to maintain a full and accurate database of all donors and fundraising activities to support long-term tracking and inform future fundraising. This also requires networking among alumni and being vigilant to changes in alumni data.
• Research and approach alumni whose connection with the Trust has lapsed
Continue to grow the active network through researching and motivating dormant and lapsed alumni to reconnect with the Trust.
• Research untapped prospects
Research the database with a view to identifying dormant and untapped opportunities, especially regarding
high-net-worth individuals and legacies. Ensure fundraising approaches are well-targeted and informed in order to maximise the chances of success. This will expand to include non-alumni sources, including institutional sources such as foundations and other trusts.
• Ensure long-term donor connection
Communicate with all donors to demonstrate the impact they can make by showcasing the current and long-term outcome of programs. Deliver a diverse selection of communications to engage different audiences, with a clear plan for all members of the network. Ensure donors are connected to the Trust, value the Trust's activities and actively help fund opportunities.
• Reporting to the Trustees
Create an annual donor impact report to the Trustees, and other stakeholders such as alumni, that delineates donor statistics, reviews communications and events that have taken place during the past year and identifies potential prospects and events for developing in the coming year. Also provide a lower-level oral report of fundraising activities and communications to the Trustees at their quarterly meetings.
• Deliver income growth target
Acquire enough new donations to meet agreed annual income growth targets set by the Trustees.
You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the charity and its overall objectives. For instance, organizing fund-raising specific events in different regions. This position could evolve into a full-time commitment with a support team, but at the present time, support to this role will be provided through the existing network of volunteers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Communications and Engagement Team as our Head of Communications and Engagement.
The post will involve supporting the Union to deliver its communications strategy, as well as our democratic functions such as campaigning and leadership elections. - Manage the Union’s visual identity through digital, video, and print, regularly reviewing and evolving the visual style.
- Regularly gather and communicate the impact made by the Union, including the development of impact reports
Democratic functions:
- Ensuring that the Union is considered to be legitimately representative of its members by increasing engagement in and the quality of democratic activity. In doing so, ensure that the Union is truly democratic, and that all members and Officers adhere to the Union's constitution and bye-laws.
- Responsible for leading the Union’s democratic procedures, for example the annual elections or Annual Members’ Meetings
- Support the Elected Officers to communicate their priorities and campaigns to our members, helping our Officers effectively develop their own personal communications plans to raise their profile across the student community.

SMART is hiring! We have a vacancy for a one year maternity cover contract, for a part time mental health Community Navigator. The Navigators support people with serious mental illness, with a range of issues including: housing, benefits, finance and social isolation.
