To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Officer to join our small yet dynamic Fundraising team to help grow our income through Charitable Trusts and Foundations and from Statutory bodies. Fundraising Public Relations Officer

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PR and marketing professional in our London fundraising office to design and deliver creative, multi-channel, integrated fundraising and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.

The success of this role will be dependent on engaging and building meaningful long-term relationships with both existing and new supporters through effective donor stewardship, attending events, and networking.

High quality comms and media are going to be central to our plans to go public in a big way in 2024.  Creating high-quality, impactful, and engaging content for multimedia platforms will be key. You’ll be able to identify stories from across the organisation, draw out information and ideas from others, and successfully turn complicated or clinical information into clear, simple, and compelling narratives.

Main responsibilities:

Fundraising

· Develop and implement integrated fundraising, marketing and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.

We are looking for an experienced strategically minded, dynamic and proactive Initiatives Manager to join us here at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR).

In this pivotal role as Workforce Initiatives Manager you will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of initiatives to support us in fulfilling our overarching goal of growing the UK workforce in our specialties of Clinical Radiology and Clinical Oncology, ensuring that quality and impact are at the heart of our plans.

With a focus on the strategic development side of the team you will cultivate information into initiatives such as the development of curricula or standards but also ongoing initiatives which will serve to increase routes into the workforce for both existing and emerging groups of doctors and allied health professionals. Leading and motivating a high-performing and dedicated team to do so.  

What you’ll do:

• Manage the development and implementation of new versions of the postgraduate curricula for our specialities.
• Establish and implement necessary quality assurance mechanisms and initiative.
• Oversee the provision of support for ancillary workforce development initiatives.
• Undertake market research to evaluate the viability of proposed new workforce initiatives, targeting those with the greatest reach and impact.
• Lead, motivate performance manage and develop a team.

What you’ll need:

• Experience of curriculum development or experience of innovation in training programmes or teaching.
• Experience of programme/project management.
• Experience in developing funding bids/building cogent business cases.
• Knowledge and understanding of UK healthcare workforce strategy, including postgraduate medical education.

We are excited to be advertising the role of Psychotherapy Service Manager at Respond, to lead our team and the development of our psychotherapy services with autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have experienced trauma and their families.  Many of our clients may have experienced complex or multiple traumatic experiences including sexual violence, domestic abuse and neglect.

The Psychotherapy Service provides predominantly longer-term therapeutic support of a year or more, depending on how the work is funded, to an average of 130 unique individuals per year.  The current team of 10 are made up of 4 senior therapists (reporting to the postholder), 4 therapists and 2 honoraries in training, the majority of whom are Arts therapists and work within a psychodynamic and/or systemic model.

We welcome applications from experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapists, Arts therapists, Psychologists or Family Therapists who are passionate about our work. You will work psychodynamically, champion our trauma informed approach including our reflective practice model and have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of the psychotherapy service.  Leading the small team, you will provide clinical leadership and be Safeguarding lead, ensuring we continue to provide high quality psychotherapy services.  We are offering the role at 4-5 days per week, working in a hybrid manner flexibly. You can also hold your own small case load of clients, supervisees and/or consultancy work within the role.

This is a unique and specialist role and we recognise that you may have more experience in one clinical area or client group than another, given the breadth of our work and whilst you may be experienced in working psychodynamically as a therapist and as a line manager, you may be newer to leading a service for example. Or you may have a great deal of other experience and understanding of the needs of our clients from other work.  We are flexible to develop the right candidate who is passionate about improving the lives of autistic people, people with learning disabilities and their family members.

Respond is entering the last year of our three-year strategy, in which we will continue to be focusing on our psychotherapy service, which is a core part of Respond’s offer as a charity for now thirty-four years.   Our mission is to reduce the impact of trauma in the lives of people with learning disabilities and autistic people, by developing trusting relationships, through psychotherapeutically informed services which include advocacy, training and consultation.

An important part of our work at Respond is working in a trauma-informed way. What this means for us is that we hold in mind the impact of trauma at all levels of the organisation, and all staff take part in reflective practice or team dynamics. 

We provide a range of trauma-informed services for children, young people, adults and professionals. These include psychotherapy, advocacy, training and other support services. The work we do is generally long term in recognition of research that clients with autism and learning disabilities who have experienced abuse and trauma take longer to process their trauma and to recover.

This role will act as a key member of our communications team, providing coaching support to the Communications Officer and Communications Administrator. This is a multi-faceted role, with opportunity to grow and develop. You’ll work across the organisation, involved in many different projects and collaborating with colleagues across the team.

We are looking for someone with a creative eye, good interpersonal skills and excellent attention to detail who can communicate effectively. A key part of the role will involve implementing our Comms strategy and efficiently monitoring and making steps to improve our audience reach through our comms channels (including social media, email marketing, website and media contacts).

Key tasks include:

• To maintain and implement a communications strategy which supports Action Hampshire’s strategic plan and continue identifying opportunities to strengthen Action Hampshire’s brand awareness, reach and presence
