Strategy, vision and impact [30%]

• Spearheading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, where each member plays its part, and the church is empowered to transform young lives
• Owning and managing the strategy for Spear Bristol that will help make this vision a reality
• Ensuring the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets; overseeing and reporting on impact metrics

• Building and managing great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees

The role
The goal of the Data Lead’s work is to set up data systems that help drive the organisations internal and their external partners’ success. The key areas include:

(1) to establish and manage an internal monitoring framework that tracks whether they are progressing towards their target – and helps them course correct if not on track;

(2) to provide strategic advice to their governmental partners on their data management and visualisation needs, which are key to advancing their human development agendas; and

(3) to think critically about how they track results in their leadership development work.

Experience
To be successful in this role you will need extensive experience with integrated monitoring frameworks and the use of data to drive government decision-making. 

You will have familiarity with relevant sub-fields, such as labour market information systems; health data systems; or education data systems and be able to demonstrate familiarity with and/or experience working in sub-Saharan Africa.

The role is working externally at the highest levels so will require someone with first class interpersonal and presentations skills, the ability to navigate complex environments and a willingness to understand partners’ contexts and political constraints. You will need to fully supports the ambition of policy champions at national level without prescribing external agendas, have a passion for using evidence to drive better decision making and the ability to maintain focus on the big picture, even when discussing technical questions.

Substantive knowledge in a field related to international development or human capital development appreciated and fluency in French and/or widely spoken African languages is desirable. We're open to sector experience but are particularly interested to hear from you if you are bring experience from the Government or Finance sectors.

The Role 

An exciting Café Manager position has opened at our Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre, which houses a fully integrated Cancer Rehabilitation Centre, Shop, Donation Centre, Office, and our first-ever Café, named Café Hornbeam. 

We are looking for an experienced Café Manager who will provide excellent customer service, prepare delicious food, and create a warm and welcoming space, inspiring their Deputy Café Manager and team of employees and volunteers to do the same. This role will be accountable for the overall management of the Café, including process and policy adherence and development, and Food Safety. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Uphold and manage café operating procedures and policies, including Food Safety, Allergens, Health and Safety and Trading Standards.

• Manage the product mix, introducing new products where appropriate and maximising profit margins.

• Identify appropriate food and drinks suppliers and build and manage supplier relationships.

• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of developments within the café/food service industry to make or recommend appropriate changes to the delivery of café services and products.

• Ensure the café is presented to the highest standards with attractive merchandising of food and drinks. 

• Effectively manage time to work alongside the team, whilst completing managerial duties.

• Plan and oversee the implementation of new menus, specials, and food and drink related offers.

• Manage the Deputy Café Manager and Café Assistants, including supporting them with their continued development, managing rotas and timesheets, providing training and providing appropriate support when needed. 

• Maximise profitability through driving sales and managing and controlling costs, stock, and margins effectively.

About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• Proven experience of working in a catering or hospitality role at a similar level. 

• Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene Certification.

This role is part of a small Finance team that supports the work of Headway - the brain injury association. The role is line managed by the Finance Manager and liaises with every team within the organisation.

What you will do

As a Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the purchase and sales ledgers for both the charity and retail company, supporting colleagues, and resolving queries from suppliers and customers. You will monitor the purchase invoice mailbox and online purchase invoice accounts, ensuring that all invoices are downloaded promptly and passed on to relevant colleagues for authorisation.

You will be responsible for recording all purchase and sales invoices on our accounts system, Exchequer and ensuring that all bank transactions are entered on a timely basis. You will also be responsible for preparing and entering key monthly journals, including but not limited to charity and retail income, charity merchandise sales, depreciation, credit card expenditure, pre-paid rent and service charges. The majority of this work will use our Excel linked auto-loaders, but some manual entry will also be required.

You will complete monthly supplier account reconciliations and be responsible for raising any concerns or discrepancies with the Finance Manager.

You will maintain the stock system for the online merchandise shop, updating it with new stock and prices, using the information from the system to create the monthly cost of sales journal.

The Senior Finance Officer will work with the Finance Manager to ensure that all monthly and month-end routines are completed in line with team and organisational deadlines and complete any other finance tasks that may be required.

About the role:

The Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) will work within a dynamic, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service based at the CGL Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone.  The IDVA will provide support in the local community and at the Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone.  The successful candidate will be co-located up to 5 days a week at the Women’s Wellness Zone.

The IDVA will be closely working alongside CGL colleagues/team to deliver support to women with a range of complex support needs including substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, sex working, trafficking, and offending behaviour. The IDVA will work in collaboration with their team members to holistically support women in the borough of Ealing to achieve sustained recovery, improved health and wellbeing, helping women to manage/mitigate risks, and empowering them to reach their fullest potential in society as well as ensuring the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process.

The Senior Multiple Needs IDVA will assess the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support. As well as identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs. They will also proactively advocate and advice women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, encouraging them to engage with other agencies, and help co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support where necessary.

About You:

To be successful as the Senior Multiple Needs IDVA you will need to have:

Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. As well as understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.

The Role:

Fundraising at Julian House is stepping into its next phase of growth, and we are looking for a strategic and innovative Senior Fundraising Manager to lead the team to new heights.

Fundraising generates vital income for the charity, helping us to provide life-changing and life-saving support for vulnerable people across the South West. We are looking for someone who can grow income across a range of streams in support of this mission, with a focus on regular giving, major donors, corporate partnerships, and legacies.

You will be leading a small team of committed, creative fundraisers, with the autonomy to establish new work streams from scratch and develop your team to help you deliver ambitious strategies and campaigns.

• Significant knowledge and experience of a wide range of fundraising; with a demonstrable track record of growing income in at least two of our fundraising growth areas: legacies, major donors, corporate partnerships or regular givers.
• Experience of leading and implementing strategies, including setting and overseeing strategic projects led by others.
• Experience of using CRM systems to their full potential, interpreting donor data, analysing findings and making decisions based on your analysis. Knowledge and experience of the Donorfy platform is desirable, but not essential. 
• Knowledge of the homelessness or social inclusion sectors would be desirable, but not essential.

Purpose of the Post

• To Provide financial leadership and to be accountable for financial reporting to the leadership team, Board, and stakeholders.

Role responsibilities
The Finance & Operations Manager is responsible for:

Finance

• Preparation, monitoring, and control of the budgeting and forecasting processes.

Established success in coaching managers and leaders on various HR matters is essential to this role, empowering them to manage risk, resolve conflict, support their team members to excel at work, and foster cohesion and trust within a hybrid workforce.
