Background Information and Purpose of Post

As part of our ambitious plans to significantly increase private fundraising, we are looking for a new strategic direction in securing relationships with and income from high-net-worth individuals.

The Philanthropy Specialist at Humanity & Inclusion UK is a new senior fundraising position with responsibility for planning, identifying, cultivating, and managing major donor relationships to secure significant funding, in line with the new global Major Giving Strategy 2026 - 2030.

The purpose of the post is to:

· Develop and deliver HI UK’s strategy for high-net-worth individuals.

· Lead on the new Capital Campaign, 2026-2030, for HI UK.

· Work closely with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and family foundations to develop high-value philanthropic partnerships and ensure sustained, long-term support.

· Secure five- and six-figure major gifts from a diverse and sustainable base of major donors.

· Develop your own prospect pipeline and provide excellent cultivation of your prospects to produce committed, long-term donors.

· Manage existing partnerships and donors to a high standard.

· Report to and collaborate with the Global Specialist in Major Giving (based in the UK) on the delivery and implementation of your own ambitious philanthropy strategy for HI UK, in line with UK and Federation priorities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships

You will have responsibility for developing a new strategy for high-net-worth individual support and you will lead the delivery of this strategy to secure high-value philanthropic partnerships under the responsibility of the Global Specialist in Major Giving.

Capital Campaign

Our new Capital Campaign will be an invaluable tool for you in developing funding from high-net-worth individuals in the UK. You will lead on its launch and recruit a Campaign Committee, stewarding them to deliver results.

Relationship Management

You will lead on the development and stewardship of long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and family foundations.

Income Growth

You will drive the growth of an existing pipeline of high-net-worth individuals and develop this pipeline with new supporters from our individual giving stream and philanthropists who are new to HI, to secure significant gifts.

Collaboration

You will work closely with HI's Global Specialist in Major Giving, HI UK Trustees, our Federal Major Giving team, and international colleagues, to develop compelling proposals and provide timely impact reporting.

Stewardship

You will ensure exceptional donor stewardship and provide a high-quality experience for supporters at every stage of engagement.

Cultivation events

You will initiate and run high quality cultivation events for your donors and prospects, to form part of their stewardship journey.

Data Management

You will accurately manage donor records, communications, and reporting through our CRM.

Other duties

· Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues, the Federal fundraising and communication teams, and Major Giving counterparts in other HI national associations in Europe and North America.

· Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and high standards.

· Keep up-to-date and adhere to any changes in legislation, regulatory procedures, innovation, best practice and industry standards in relation to private fundraising.

· Any other activities commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required by the Global Specialist in Major Giving.

The Global Events Manager will be responsible for delivering high quality events to support IAPB's goals. They will assist with leadership of events that enhance knowledge of eye health amongst IAPB membership & stakeholders.

Outline of Role

As a key member of the IAPB Communications, Campaigns & Events team, this role is responsible for delivering high quality events to support the key strategic goals of the organisation. Assisting with leadership of events at IAPB that enhance knowledge of eye health and allied development amongst IAPB membership and other stakeholders.

Working with the Director of Communications, Campaigns and Events to support the organisation’s events goals, manage events that promote IAPB and lead events related to other IAPB functions (e.g. membership, knowledge, advocacy etc.).

Supporting the Director of Communications, Campaigns and Events to lead the organisation’s yearly internal and external events calendar. As a key element of this, this role will lead a yearly first-class large scale global event that takes place in person and online, project managing and pulling together all elements of such an event. The role will also support organisation-wide events, including around IAPBs work at the United Nations through the UN Friends of Vision Group, Capability Development workshops, Membership meetings and regional events, as well as around World Sight Day, internal events (such as organising in-person Board meetings) whilst always ensuring IAPBs events are creative.

A Hybrid Role

This role will work across both frontline delivery and input into the administration of the Duty system that underpins all HHPA’s work. It’s anticipated the worker’s role will be split roughly 50/50 across both elements of the work. Having a staff member working across both will give us a valuable insight into how frontline and Duty can work better together.  It is also a good opportunity for the worker to gain experience in all aspects of project delivery, which could be a valuable first step for anyone interested in project management or leadership.

The Duty work

The HHPA Duty Team makes sure the Homeless Health Peer Advocacy service runs safely and smoothly. They handle bookings from partner organisations, match referrals with Peer Advocates, and organise all the practical details – like booking transport, giving travel directions, and confirming who will attend each appointment. They use a specially designed Salesforce database to keep track of appointments, update records, and measure the impact of the service. A key part of their job is running the Duty System, which checks Peer Advocates in and out of jobs so that everyone is safe and supported.

The team is also the main point of contact for partners, frontline staff, and volunteers. They answer questions, make sure referrals have all the right information, and keep everything running to schedule. They look after data security, maintain good relationships with partner agencies, and make sure volunteers and workers have what they need to do their work well. By taking care of the behind-the-scenes work, the Duty Team frees up the frontline team to focus on supporting people to attend healthcare appointments and improve their health.

The pan-London Caseworker work

We need this role to support people experiencing homelessness in Boroughs where support needs are extremely high, but where we don't have the capacity or flexibility through our other funding to meet their needs. Most of our Caseworkers are funded by individual Boroughs and can only work in that area.  This role will be able to work in any of the Boroughs where we deliver HHPA so will give us the flexibility to go to where the need is greatest rather than being fixed in a single local authority area. As a more senior role in our HHPA service, the Caseworker will use their skills and experience to focus on people in the most complex and difficult situations, including those grappling multiple connected issues around physical and mental health, addiction, trauma, disabilities, and more.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

This role is focused on securing and managing funding by aligning applications with funders' priorities and the organisation's objectives. It involves developing compelling appeals and cases for support, building and maintaining strong relationships with trusts and funders through regular stewardship, and preparing progress reports for both funders and the Senior Management Team. The position also contributes to shaping and implementing the organisation's overall fundraising strategy, working collaboratively across teams to ensure funding needs are clearly understood and met.

In addition, the role requires effective use of the Donorfy database to maintain accurate donor and grant records, process income, and manage correspondence. Administrative tasks such as mail-merging, coding, mailing, and donor acknowledgements are also part of the responsibilities. The post-holder is expected to stay informed about sector developments, propose innovative fundraising ideas, and identify new funding opportunities to strengthen the organisation's financial sustainability.

Here's what the team will be looking for

The role calls for a skilled fundraiser with a strong history of securing significant grants from trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. The successful candidate will be adept at crafting clear, persuasive proposals and reports that meet funders' requirements, while also excelling in relationship management to nurture both new and existing partnerships. They will be confident working across teams, volunteers, service users, and external stakeholders, bringing strong communication skills and a solutions-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.

They should bring experience with fundraising CRM systems (ideally Donorfy), solid IT skills in Microsoft Office, and confidence in preparing accurate budgets. A meticulous eye for detail, knowledge of GDPR and charity law, and a genuine empathy with the organisation's mission are essential. Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours is also required.

Democracy Classroom is a non-partisan, UK-wide initiative and a leading voice for the sector, reaching teachers and youth practitioners in 95% of the UK’s parliamentary constituencies. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Communications and Networks will amplify The Politics Project’s voice, build strategic partnerships and strengthen collaboration across the youth, education and democracy sectors. You will lead on communications, stakeholder engagement and the continued development of the Democracy Classroom Network.

You will oversee a team responsible for communications, partnerships and events, providing leadership and guidance to ensure clear messaging, impactful storytelling and strong, coordinated engagement across the sector. The post holder will combine strategic thinking with strong operational delivery, managing both the external profile of the organisation and the networks that underpin its reach and influence.

Key responsibilities include:

Communications

• Develop and lead The Politics Project’s communications strategy to raise visibility and strengthen reputation.

This is a fast-paced senior management role in a small but growing organisation. The post includes a six-month probation period and is fixed-term until March 2027, with the potential of extension depending on funding. Senior People & Culture Associate – Contracts

The Senior People & Culture Associate for Contracts provides administrative support across a variety of functions supporting the recruitment, hiring and consultant lifecycle of Internews Europe (UK) and Internews International (France) Personal Services Contractors. 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, with other duties upon request:  

· Draft personal services contracts and modifications for both Internews Europe and Internews International 

· Review contract requests on a case-by-case basis to ensure adherence to organisational and international hiring regulations, tailoring needs to those of Internews Europe, Internews International and the overarching Alliance

· Liaise with program teams to explain and advise on policies and best practices

About the role

This is a key role within the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team. About you

To be successful in this role you must have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a plan to grow Trust & Grant income, successfully meeting or exceeding fundraising targets from a variety of funders and experience managing relationships with statutory funders and trust and foundations. You will have experience of managing fundraisers and supporting them to manage their priorities and portfolios. You will have experience of measuring and monitoring income and expenditure, and team performance.

It’s essential that you have excellent communication skills and can build relationships across the organisation to develop strong fundraising ideas and support engagement with senior staff in building relationships with trusts. This position sits in the Awards Management Unit (AMU), in CRRD.
