UK Senior Database Support Officer – About the Role

If you’re working as a Database Support Officer looking for the next step up in your career in a senior role and have the zeal to work in a collaborative environment with an animal charity.
Join us and you will be part of a team of experts in database management who use technology to support our busy fundraising, campaigning and supporter care teams.

Your role will be to maintain and develop processes around the technology used to support the UK office teams work. You will ensure our core databases (Raiser’s Edge – fundraising and campaigning and Salesforce – supporter care) contain accurate supporter data by processing in a timely and accurate manner all imports of data files. You will make sure they are GDPR and HMRC compliant too. You will also oversee third party suppliers; trouble shoot problems and deliver training to new users, promoting best practice.

It is vital in this role to have the ability to work with colleagues Important will be the ability to work with colleagues to develop new solutions for new projects or identify improvements for existing work to enhance overall performance.

UK Senior Database Support Officer – Requirements
• Strong understanding of database logic and demonstrable skill at using front end importing, exporting and reporting functions
• Experience of improving processes
• Experience of developing and documenting data management processes and SOPs
• Proven ability to set up and maintain effective data systems and procedures
• Experience of SQL development using MS SQL Server
• Experience of using MS Access and Excel for data manipulation
• Experience of supporting a SQL CRM e.g. Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce
• Working Knowledge of GDPR, the Data Protection Act and Gift Aid in relation to UK fundraising
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Able to prioritise workload
