Main duties and responsibilities

Provide effective administrative support for fundraising activities across teams to help the department promote philanthropy and support those wishing to donate to the University.

Provide a main point of contact for fundraising queries and correspondence, by email, mail, on the phone and in person. Lead on the daily monitoring of fundraising email inboxes and phone queries, ensuring a quick and friendly response to provide the best possible supporter care.

Lead on timely responses to expressions of interest for donating and leaving gifts in Wills. To include drafting standard and non-standard responses to different enquiries (individuals and solicitors).

Support the Senior Philanthropy Manager in the administration of legacy case loads including adding appropriate information to the CRM database, Raiser's Edge. Assist with other legacy related activity including updating online obituaries, supporting events and communications across web, social and print.

Provide effective and efficient administrative support for Community Fundraising activities. Including using JustGiving to identify new community fundraisers (welcoming, thanking and supporting them) and supporting community fundraising events, such as The Big Walk.

Supporting the telephone campaign through administrative support for the recruitment and training of student fundraisers.

Provide administrative support to assist with stewardship (thanking) of donors and legacy pledgers. Including sending thank you letters; mass emails using our email software; running and updating data reports; collecting, drafting and checking written reports; assisting with donor visits such as setting schedules, booking rooms, liaising with guests and accompanying visitors on tours.

Support the work of the department by recording data accurately on the CRM database (Raiser's Edge) ensuring all data is managed confidentially and in line with the GDPR.

About the role
We are seeking a Head of Fundraising to develop and drive Iswe’s income generation strategy and grow a high-performing fundraising team.

Essential

Substantial fundraising experience (minimum 5+ years), with a proven track record of raising six to seven-figure income across grantmaking, institutional funders, or major donors.

1. The Role
The Head of Audiences is a new leadership role in the Commercial Operations team designed to ensure that audience insight and segmentation are at the heart of everything we do. This role will lead on understanding who our current and prospective audiences are, how they engage with us and what they need now and in the future. You will use this insight to guide programming, marketing, visitor experience at Winchester Science Centre but as we evolve our Charity’s reach and engagement you will play an important role in ensuring we fulfil our ambitious plans and reaching a diverse community. By building an inclusive and evidence-based audience strategy, this role will enable Winchester Science Centre to grow reach and engagement, deepen impact and fulfil its charitable mission to inspire a lifetime of curiosity in science.
The role is part of the Commercial Operations team led by the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the Head of Programming and Head of Visitor Experience. However, you will work with the wider leadership and their teams to ensure that both the community programme and on-site experience are insight-led, responsive to audience needs, and relevant to a wide range of segments. It plays a key role in championing access, equity and inclusion across all areas of the Charity’s work.
As we embark on a chapter of significant growth, you will play a pivotal role in identifying the audiences and ensuring they sit at the heart of our decision making. You will work with key stakeholders across the business, including our Children’s Voice, to ensure the Charity can achieve its commercial and impact objectives. Key Responsibilities
· Lead the organisation’s audience strategy, embedding a data-led approach that informs programme development, marketing and wider organisational planning and offer.
· Lead the audiences' team to deliver high impact campaigns that delivers on organisational objectives and visitation targets, that contributes to the continued brand development of Wonderseekers and Winchester Science Centre.
· Use your expertise in audience segmentation to design, shape and oversee the delivery of multi-channel marketing strategies that maximises return on investment and successfully drives visitation and audience engagement targets.

Special Circumstances
