The Corporate Partnerships Officer will account manage and deliver the Corporate Membership
programme. They will also support the Corporate Partnerships Manager to deliver larger scale, high profile
Corporate Partnerships, ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times to facilitate renewal

Key Responsibilities 

Strategy & Leadership  

• Lead the development and delivery of an integrated income-generation strategy. 
• Identify and assess new fundraising and business development opportunities. 
• Work with the CEO and SMT to set annual revenue targets, KPIs and income projections, ensuring accurate and timely forecasting. 
• Utilise your senior level networks to identify new areas Helpforce can operate in. 
• Ensure all income-generating activities align with Helpforce’s financial strategy and comply with internal governance and approval processes.

Fundraising  

• Develop and manage a healthy pipeline of funding prospects including trusts, foundations, institutional funders, and HNWIs. 
• Shape and oversee compelling value propositions, funding proposals, donor reports, and stewardship plans – incorporating storytelling into high-calibre content. 
• Manage relationships with existing funders, ensuring high-quality communication and reporting. 
• Ensure full compliance with restricted fund terms and grant agreements, working with Finance to monitor allocation and utilisation of funding. 
• Uphold ethical fundraising standards and ensure alignment with the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice. 
• Deliver year on year growth in fundraising income against agreed targets.

Business Development  

• Identify and develop new markets, partnership models and products offerings. 
• Leverage the excellent track record and reputation of Helpforce, using our sector-leading evidence of impact to generate new opportunities. 
• Lead the preparation of bids, tenders, proposals, and commercial negotiations, ensuring all opportunities are assessed for fit, feasibility, pricing, and margin. 
• Collaborate with programme managers to package services for sale or partnership. 
• Conduct due diligence on prospective partners and commercial clients to ensure values alignment and manage reputational risk. 

Relationship Management  

• Build and maintain relationships with donors, funders, corporate partners, and public sector stakeholders. 
• Represent the organisation at external events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise visibility and strengthen the organisation’s profile. 
• Support senior-level relationship-building with strategic funders and institutional partners, working alongside the CEO and Trustees where appropriate. 
• Maintain a focused approach to cultivating a number of high potential relationships positioned for long term or multi-year support.

Finance & Reporting  

• Set, monitor, and report on income targets, pipeline health, ROI and overall income performance against agreed KPIs. 
• Develop budgets and financial forecasts for all income streams ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely updates for senior decision-making.
• Liaise with the Finance team to ensure accurate tracking, reporting and audit-readiness. 
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate funder-specific financial reporting, including restricted/unrestricted income reporting and grant reconciliations. 
• Monitor income and expenditure related to income generation activities, support financial planning, and advise on funding risks and sustainability. 
• Provide clear insights into income confidence levels, timelines, risks, and mitigation actions. 

Person Specification  

Essential  

• 5+ years of senior-level experience in fundraising, business development, or strategic partnerships. 
• Proventrack recordof raising significant funding (6–7 figure). 
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering successful income-generation strategies. 
• Above excellent written communication and document design skills (grant writing, proposals, reporting). 
• Strong negotiation, commercial awareness and contract management skills. 
• Highly confident in face-to-face relationship building, networking and able to represent Helpforce effectively at external meetings, events, and conferences.

Solace is embarking on a new five-year fundraising strategy, with ambitious plans to double fundraised income to £3m by 2031. Core Responsibilities

• Support the Account Manager in maintaining and progressing a pipeline of stakeholder and client relationships, ensuring consistent and timely communication

• Attend client and partner meetings alongside (or on behalf of) the Account Manager; take live notes, capture actions and send clear follow-up summaries to stakeholders

About the role

 

The Head of Advocacy and Influencing is a leadership role with significant responsibility for external analysis and positioning for CIUK - including through regular updates to the board Impact and Transformation Committee. The role is responsible for providing strategic direction for CIUK and CI’s advocacy and influencing and leading the team to deliver UK and globally facing advocacy campaigns. The role is responsible for ensuring high quality publications and managing sign off and profile risks as part of CIUK’s risk management strategy. The Head of Advocacy and Influencing will also act as a senior external spokesperson for the organization to the media, parliament and public events. Strategic Leadership & Delivery

Play a key role in the delivery of CIUK’s new 4-year strategy. Lead cross-organisational teams to deliver high quality policy analysis, advocacy and campaign strategies to UK government, parliamentary and private sector targets. Work with communications to design and deliver integrated campaign plans.

External representation and relationship management

Build the visibility and reputation of CIUK by building and managing key external relationships in government, parliament, private sector and across the sector, including in coalitions and alliances. Provide strategic advice on political developments, external opportunities, and risks, ensuring timely and well-informed positioning, and prepare the CEO/SLT for high-level external engagements. Serve as a senior spokesperson for CIUK in political, media, and public forums. Work with the CARE confederation to develop advocacy lines and approaches.

Thought leadership and Policy Development

Provide strategic leadership of the Gates Foundation partnership, delivering against expectations and securing further funding from this and other donors. Ensure a rigorous evidence base for CIUK’s policy agenda, both by working with CIUK’s team of thematic experts, as well as commissioning and managing research projects where needed. Prepare and approve briefings, position papers, op-eds and other communications in support of CARE UK’s influencing goals. Oversee CIUK’s strategic role in Centenary Action, including representation on the Steering Group and overall coordination. 

Team and line management

Set and drive the advocacy and influencing team’s annual plans and contribution to the organisation’s strategic priorities. Be accountable to delivering on team KPIs and organisational KPIs that link to the team’s work, and for managing the team’s budget. Play a key role in the leadership of the Programme and Policy department. Provide strong line management to direct reports and demonstrate a strong personal commitment to CIUK’s equity, diversity and inclusion goals and feminist leadership principles.

​The Chief Research Officer will ensure the smooth and successful delivery of TASO’s Research & Evaluation programme, with overall responsibility for TASO’s Research and Evaluation budget. This will involve managing the staff involved in these functions to deliver TASO’s research, evaluation, synthesis and evidence mobilisation activities to time and within budget.
 
Working closely with the Chief Executive, the postholder will help shape TASO’s overall strategic direction and translate this into a clear programme of research and evaluation activity. They will lead and manage the teams responsible for research and evaluation to ensure that TASO’s strategies are delivered effectively on time and within budget.
 
The role includes overseeing the delivery of TASO’s research programmes, ensuring compliance, managing research funding rounds, and maintaining strong oversight of subcontracted work. The Role

Main purpose of the role

THE CHARITY 

Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle. 
 
James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.    
 
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.  We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 5,100 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.
 
In early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. Our new centre in Birmingham will be there to support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.
 
THE OPPORTUNITY 
 
We are seeking an experienced clinician to join us on a Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
This is a key role in the organisation, leading our James’ Place centre in London and taking overall responsibility for the clinical and operational management of the center. The Head of Centre will lead a team of suicide prevention therapists and will take responsibility for clinical oversight and governance. The Head of Centre is the guardian of ethos, culture and tone of James’ Place. 
 
The role will work alongside the centre manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing budgets and HR, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of our service.
 
The Head of Centre is also responsible for managing and reporting on the results and caseload in London, ensuring these are communicated accurately and clearly. As the most senior clinician at James’ Place London, we expect you to be responsible for managing your own caseload which may involve up to 20% of your time.
 
The Head of Centre plays a key role in raising the profile of James’ Place London and will work closely with our fundraising and communications team to ensure that we are engaging with a wide range of local stakeholders and partners to drive referrals to the centre.
 
They will work closely with our broad range of referrals partners, including the NHS, community, and charity partners. They will also work closely with our outreach team to ensure that men in crisis can reach us directly.
The role is expected to work highly collaboratively with other Heads of Centre and senior managers to work towards our strategic plan and meet our charitable objectives.
 
The post-holder will be expected to travel to other James’ Place sites to assist in addressing issues as requested.
 
The post holder must have a clear understanding of performance management of teams and individuals in teams and be able to ensure delivery from those they line manage. This will include ensuring that all suicide prevention therapists have minimal caseloads and achieve high quality outcomes.
 
They will also, in collaboration with others, build effective pipelines and networks with local acute trusts, integrated care boards and services in primary care including mental health crisis teams. There will also be an expectation to lead on projects as directed by the Director of Clinical Services. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
Leadership and Management 

• Act as a senior leader in the organisation, building close working relationships across charity, and ensuring a culture of excellence and improvement in all our work in London.  
• Work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues in the London centre and across the charity to further our mission to deliver urgent clinical services to men in suicidal crisis. 
• Develop and grow partnership and fundraising opportunities within the changing landscape of mental health provision locally. 
• Oversee management and maintenance of the building through management of the Centre Manager.  
• Lead and supervise the clinical team in London, ensuring that every man who comes to James’ Place receives first class treatment and support. 
• Maintain adequate staffing levels as guided by James’ Place policies and procedures, e.g. sickness absence, performance management.   
• Ensure all staff members receive appropriate and adequate, internal and external supervision and that staff members receive appropriate PDRs and PDPs in line with the needs of the charity. 
• Develop new and existing engagement and referral pathways, ensuring high quality and informed referrals in the centre.  

 
Clinical  

• Be responsible for the clinical activity delivered at James’ Place in London, ensuring the safety of the men who use the service and their supporters.  
• Report on clinical outcomes for London, ensuring timely and accurate data collection and analysis.  
• Manage local clinical governance, including risk assessments, with support from the Director of Clinical Services.
• Report on clinical metrics and wider progress across the London centre on a weekly and monthly basis.  
• Work closely with the Director of Clinical Services to manage evaluation and research, particularly around London for data and outcomes.  
• Act as an expert user of our clinical information system.  
• Ensure appropriate care and management of all service users and their supporters. 
• Carry a clinical caseload (approximately 20 per cent of working time).  
• Create an environment in which confidentiality, privacy and dignity are respected and clear with service users about limits of confidentiality. 
• Ensure that the whole team is aware of and proficient in avoiding stigma and promoting social inclusion, equality, and diversity.   
• Ensure that all staff are trained appropriately in suicide prevention and in the James’ Place intervention model. 
• Ensure respect and sensitivity to service users' gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, age, background (including cultural, ethnic and religious background) and any disability. 
• Provide cover for other Heads of Centre if required. 
• Lead incident reviews and ensure appropriate safeguarding of men in our care. 
• Represent the charity externally at local safeguarding and risk management forums. 

 
Fundraising and Finance 

• Manage the Centre budget and develop an effective working relationship with our finance team, with support from senior management.   
• Maintain accurate and auditable budget records. 
• Represent James’ Place at a local level, establishing new relationships and continuing to foster established relationships with stakeholders. 
• Represent James’ Place in the media and at events, sharing learnings and promoting our work. 
• On occasion, represent James’ Place at a national level. 
• Work closely and effectively with our local fundraiser and wider fundraising team, to meet agreed targets and KPIs, offering leadership and guidance on a local basis 

 
James’ Place Charity  

• Work closely with the Director of Clinical Services and other Executive Leadership Team members to deliver against the business plan and meet our charitable objectives.  
• Promote the value and importance of service evaluation and support the London team to contribute towards the ongoing development of James’ Place. 
• Work with the team to further our understanding of men and suicidal crisis.  
• Work with the Director of Clinical Services to devise and deliver specific identified projects to support the wider aims and mission of the charity. This will include providing leadership to clinical quality groups.

 
PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Clinician with HCPC/Social Work England / BACP qualification/NMC/UCKP or equivalent – i.e. psychotherapy, psychology, OT, mental health background 
• Demonstrable experience of being accountable for the delivery of care / support for people accessing mental health or therapy services 
• Experience delivering expert structured care in a mental health or therapy setting.   
• Demonstrable experience of effective management of clinical and non-clinical staff 
• Able to plan and deliver therapy sessions

We’re looking for a Head of Communications & Marketing to advance greater public understanding of humanism by reaching new and growing audiences. The role also comes with strategic responsibility for improving brand awareness and driving sales for key products and brands, including Humanist Ceremonies (non-religious weddings, funerals, and naming ceremonies), the award-winning New Humanist magazine (est. 1885), podcasts, books, and a nationwide programme of prestige events and festivals.

This is a senior role with real scope. You will lead our communications team across print, digital, events, and marketing, and make sure what we put out is clear, compelling, consistent, and rooted in our purpose. As well as marketing, this role has responsibility for content, including for our website and social media channels, making sure these are updated with high-quality, accessible, engaging, and well-optimised educational and brand-building materials pitched at a range of target audiences.

This role is about leadership as much as delivery. We are seeking to appoint a Compliance Officer for an immediate start. The Engagement Development Executive plays a key operational support role in supporting the charity’s engagement development activity. The role ensures that information, reporting, and resources are accurate, current, and accessible, enabling the organisation to respond effectively to funding opportunities, partnerships, and engagement needs while clearly demonstrating impact for the families we support.

Working closely with and in support of the Programmes Manager, the postholder underpins proposal development, reporting, and stewardship by coordinating high‑quality engagement, project, and impact information across teams.

Key Responsibilities 

Reporting, Data & Insights

• Collate engagement, project, and impact reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and readiness for internal and external reporting.
• Maintain dashboards and trackers, ensuring data is current and supports effective decision‑making and accountability.
• Develop and update impact report templates to ensure consistent reporting across partners and funders.

Porposal & Pipeline Management 

• Manage the proposal pipeline tracker, maintaining accurate records and reporting readiness.
• Collate and organise proposal information required for submissions, ensuring deadlines and funder requirements are met.
• Support proposal development by aligning appropriate family case studies, testimonials, and feedback with funding opportunities.

Resource & Content Management 

• Maintain the Engagement resource library, ensuring content remains relevant, up to date, and easily accessible.
• Create clear, fundable opportunity information documents to support fundraising and partnership activity.

Stakeholder & Team Support

• Respond to requests from the Engagement team, providing timely support for proposal development and reporting needs.
• Provide coordination and administrative support to the Engagement Development Manager, including organising engagement, project, and impact information to support strategic planning, reporting, and oversight.

Knowledge & Experience

• Experience supporting engagement, fundraising, development, or programme activity within a charity or purpose‑led organisation.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail, particularly when working with data, reports, and written content.
• Experience using trackers, dashboards, CRMs, or data management systems to maintain accurate records and reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with experience managing and presenting data; familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is desirable.
• Understanding of fundraising or proposal development processes, including the use of impact reporting and family case studies.
• Experience maintaining shared resources or knowledge libraries.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write in line with organisational tone and values.
