The Foundation is recruiting a dynamic Senior Legal Officer to help expand, strengthen and innovate our TrustLaw programme in the Europe, Middle East and North Africa (EMENA) region. Reporting to the Senior Legal Programme Manager, EMENA, and working closely with the regional Programme Manager and Officer, the Senior Legal Officer will manage legal pro bono projects from TrustLaw’s community of civil society organisations, social enterprises and independent media organisations, and support the team on thought leadership initiatives.

About the Role 

As a Senior Legal Officer at Thomson Reuters, you will:  

• Scoping legal pro bono requests from our community of civil society organisations, social enterprises and independent media organisations so that the requests clearly explain the legal needs for lawyers to advise on. 

• Managing pro bono requests, including connecting the pro bono client with lawyers, collecting feedback and following up with the parties involved.

• Designing, scoping and overseeing cross-border legal research projects, tools, resources and other content that address the most critical social and advocacy needs facing our members. 

• Proactive supporting of TrustLaw’s regional portfolio of law firms, corporations and other key stakeholders in EMENA to ensure TrustLaw regional quality and growth metrics are met. 

• Actively pursuing and cultivating relationships with law firms to secure their commitment to pro bono projects, employing persuasive communication strategies to highlight the impactful role they play in advancing social and environmental objectives through TrustLaw initiatives.

• Administering the service, for example through inputting into databases, planners, and trackers, running Salesforce reports, ensuring members have up-to-date contact information, inputting into quarterly reports, responding to requests for information, etc. in a timely manner.

• Contributing to the TrustLaw global annual strategy, and supporting the implementation of a regional strategy to expand and activate TrustLaw membership, ensuring we serve the best NGOs, social enterprises and independent media organisations, as well as the strongest law firms and corporate in-house legal teams. 

• Executing a robust communications, engagement and outreach strategy that includes member events and promotion of TrustLaw publications.

• Maintaining a high profile in EMENA by attending, supporting and coordinating events for TrustLaw and the Thomson Reuters Foundation, including by speaking publicly on our work at panels, roundtables, panel discussions, workshops, trainings, conferences or other speaking engagements.

About You

You are a fit for the role of Senior Legal Officer if your background includes:

• Legal experience (preferably with at least 1 year post qualification experience) working either in a law firm, in-house legal team or non-profit organisation.

• A good understanding of the legal and NGO sectors in EMENA (and, in particular, the UK), and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities that pro bono opportunities bring to law firms and legal teams;

• Experience of project management or co-ordination is highly favourable. 

• Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to effectively and independently manage multiple matters and projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent research, drafting and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail. 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to establish and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally with people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.

• Being ambitious, dynamic, and creative. 

• Experience in Salesforce would be favourable, experience working with databases essential.

• Experience organising events or trainings would be favourable. 

• Fluency in English, other languages favourable (e.g. French, Spanish, German, Arabic).

• Willingness to travel internationally. 

• Pre-existing right to work in the UK.

This is a full-time role based in London, with a minimum of two days in our office in Canary Wharf. The salary is relative to the local charitable sector and will be commensurate with experience.

This includes oversight of facilities management, health & safety, lettings, team leadership, and budget management. The role ensures the business centre is well-maintained, tenants are satisfied, and operational performance is continuously improved. Reporting to senior leadership, the Operations Manager contributes to strategic planning, drives efficiencies through systems and digital tools, and plays a vital role in sustaining high occupancy and tenant retention.

Role Responsibilities:

Centre Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business centre, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained, compliant, and running smoothly.
• Ensure the lettings process is well-managed and aligned with policies.
• Implement and monitor operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality, including opportunities to digitise processes and services.
• Contribute to strategic operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Building Maintenance

• Oversee the upkeep and preventative maintenance of the property, ensuring high facility standards.

• Conduct regular building inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.

Health & Safety

• Draft lease documentation and ensure timely renewals and support the rollout of any rent reviews.
• Carry out twice-yearly audits of lease documentation.

Customer Service

• Act as a point of contact for tenants, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing tenants with the goal of maintaining high occupancy levels.

Financial Management

• Manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective management of resources and that projects are delivered within budget.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to secure cost-effective deals.
• Ensure tenant arrears are regularly monitored and managed.

Line Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage the lettings and maintenance teams, ensuring high performance and productivity.
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Handle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of staff members as needed.

Essential Skills / Experience

About the role

As our Temporary Finance Manager, you will be managing a finance assistant and will be part of our organisation’s Senior Leadership Team, helping to collaboratively shape and steer the charity as we work towards our 2022-2027 strategy. The Finance Manager is at the heart of Woman’s Trust; you will play an essential role and have oversight of not just the finance team - you will have direct exposure to CEO/Board Members and decision-making for the future of the organisation. 

We are looking for a highly motived Temporary Finance Manager with demonstrable experience working in a similar senior level role. You’ll be a fully or part qualified accountant e.g. CIMA/ACA/ACCA/Cipfa, with a thorough understanding of charity accounting.

This is an exciting senior policy role in our committed policy team leading the fight to end child poverty in the UK. The role

We are looking for an experienced part-time NEBOSH or IOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager, who will lead manage and develop our health and safety requirements and responsibilities around working outside and around water.

We have a health and safety management plan which following on from our Health and Safety audit, has outlined the framework for this role and what is needed to be implemented over the next 12 months.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Work with both Head of HR and Operations Manager on certain aspects of office Health & Safety with as and where necessary
• Project manage and deliver all requirements of the new created H&S Management Plan
• Work with managers on Construction Design Management (CDM) health and safety
• Track and ensure that risk assessments are being completed within teams for events and elsewhere where required in Thames21
• Work with HR and line managers to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) are created, updated and reviewed periodically
• Deliver the H&S induction session with new joiners when and where applicable
• Work with the Operations Manager to ensure vehicle checks are conducted in accordance with the vehicles policy, and that all drivers are trained in the use of the inspection checklists and all aspects of vehicle inspection.
• Compile a quarterly incident report to the Head of HR
• Manage the incident reporting system, escalating serious incidents (including risks) to senior management

• Manage a programme of safety audits to reporting these to the management team
• Manage and run the quarterly H&S group meetings and keep track of progress of actions that have been assigned

Rainbow Migration is the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and has been campaigning for their rights since 1993. We are recruiting a Senior Casework and Service Coordinator to assist the Support Services Manager, provide guidance and advice to colleagues, and manage incoming queries from service users.

Rainbow Migration has grown in recent years from a small charity generating £200k income in 2019 to £1M in 2024. Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 28 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £36,994 with potential annual step increases up to £41,315 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. This role will be a key strategic advisor and responsible for high-level planning conversations to WaterAid UKs largest income generating Directorate: Communications and Fundraising. As the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for helping shape the strategic direction of fundraising team. The key duties of the Senior Finance Business Partner are as follows:

• Owning relationships with key senior stakeholders within the Communications and Fundraising Directorate.

• Own directorate specific timelines for delivering financial forecasts and budgets.

The successful candidate will have:

• Completed a professional accounting qualification or be part-qualified with relevant professional experience.
