To build a high-performing fundraising team to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy to successfully deliver Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership
· Champion fundraising across the organisation.
· Be an inspiring ambassador for Weston Park Cancer Charity and ensure this is reflected in the strategies, outputs, and behaviour of the fundraising team.
· Actively contribute to leading Weston Park Cancer Charity as a member of the Leadership Team.
· Work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.
· Attend and actively participate in relevant Board Committee meetings providing updates, necessary reports, and feedback on the charity’s fundraising.
· Lead cross-organisational projects in line with organisational strategy and direction.
· Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation at all levels, adopting and encouraging a collaborative working approach.

Fundraising
· Lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy across a range of income streams to successfully deliver the charity’s vision
· Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development to deliver the public phase of a 5 year major fundraising appeal
· Build and inspire a high-performing and results-oriented Fundraising Team focused on delivering sustainable income to maintain and build on recent organisational growth.
· Ensure that fundraising is supported by appropriate business/activity plans, and sound financial plans and budgets; and that performance is regularly monitored and evaluated against plans and budgets.
· Set, monitor, and deliver annual income and expenditure targets.
· Foster a culture of ambition and innovation and support the team to research, develop, and implement new fundraising approaches to recruit new donor groups across all income streams.
· Drive change and implement new ways of working across fundraising and the wider organisation in support of fundraising effectiveness.

· Take overall responsibility for fundraising compliance and ensure that in all relevant areas, the charity complies with the law, regulation, and stakeholder and contractual obligations with third parties.
· Collaborate with the Data Manager to maintain oversight of the supporter database to ensure integrity, legal compliance, and generation of appropriate insight to support delivery of income growth.·
Fundraising Development
· Work with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development, external advisor(s), commissioned agencies and the appeal committee to deliver a multi-year major fundraising appeal
· Work with the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manger to deliver and implement a legacy pipeline and growth in In-Memory giving income
· Work with the Individual Giving Fundraising Manager to deliver and implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.
· Lead on the introduction of a charity lottery.
· Work with relevant colleagues to deliver a new strategy and plan which prioritises deepening and strengthening existing relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multi-year funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations, and companies.
· Support the Data Manager with the adoption and use of Raisers Edge NXT CRM to effectively support data-driven decision making and relationship management to generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.
Brand and Marketing
· Working in collaboration with the Deputy CEO, Marketing Manager and external agencies in the development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.
· Foster a strong working relationship between the fundraising and marketing team to inspire high-performance and results-oriented marketing to build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey that promotes the charity’s work and delivers greater income generation.
· Empower the fundraising team to successfully deploy our brand.
· Work in partnership with the Marketing Manager to ensure content is up to date, factually accurate and to manage reputational risk.·
People Management
· Create a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.
· Provide line management to direct reports, setting, and monitoring individual performance objectives and motivating the team to be innovative and professional in its thinking and delivery.
· Ensure all fundraising staff receive consistent and motivating direction and feedback to enable them to work to the best of their ability.

Fundraising Public Relations Officer
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PR and marketing professional in our London fundraising office to design and deliver creative, multi-channel, integrated fundraising and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.
The success of this role will be dependent on engaging and building meaningful long-term relationships with both existing and new supporters through effective donor stewardship, attending events, and networking.

Fundraising

- Experience of using CRM systems to their full potential, interpreting donor data, analysing findings and making decisions based on your analysis. Knowledge and experience of the Donorfy platform is desirable, but not essential.

The Role
You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships. With experience of applying to corporates, trusts, and foundations to secure 6+ figure donations over multiple years, you will be comfortable developing a strong pipeline of new business to meet income targets. This role will identify and cultivate new business and relationships to advance the mission and goals of STEM Learning.

To be successful as Fundraising Lead:
- You will have an entrepreneurial mindset and take ownership for identifying opportunities for new funds and contributing to the overall fundraising strategy of STEM Learning.
- Adaptable and agile, you may already have an existing range of investor contacts and will be required to develop external relationships with institutional investors and High Net Worth individuals.
- Confident and communicative, you possess exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills – feeling at ease in presenting to a range of audiences made up of C-level executives, decision makers and High Net Worth Individuals. You must be comfortable ‘making the ask’.
- You will have strong networking skills at events and conferences - gaining insights into market trends and opportunities, helping you to develop a full understanding of the investment landscape and constantly seek out ways to grow our business.
- You will be able manage multiple priorities and influence others and demonstrate your knowledge of the business and its strategic priorities to achieve our goals.
- You will be comfortable delivering at pace with the ability to manage your work in a fast-moving environment whilst prioritising your tasks effectively to maintain momentum.

About this key role
Our successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior management to contribute to the implementation of the new income generation strategy – focusing specifically on retention and developing our unrestricted voluntary income from a range of funding streams. You will diversify and improve the ways in which we generate unrestricted income from individual giving through proactive, innovative ideas, plus develop and design high-quality appeals, presentations and pitches to garner wider national support and brand awareness for St Giles.
We will rely on you to provide excellent stewardship to existing donors, including writing reports, planning and hosting visits for key stakeholders that inspire them to continue to support St Giles, while also providing support to the Head of Voluntary Fundraising & Fundraising Manager with reports, due diligence procedures and applications where necessary. Organising a small number of fundraising events per year and providing line management, supervision and coaching to a Fundraising Assistant is also a key element of this role.
What we are looking for
• A minimum of one year’s experience working in a charity fundraising environment
• Expert knowledge of the fundraising landscape
• Outstanding relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent written and communication skills, with a proven ability to write compelling and informative copy for reports, applications and external communications
• Experience working with a CRM or fundraising database, preferably ETapestry
• A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work.

Being Head of Fundraising at St Wilfrid’s
As Head of Fundraising, you’ll be leading an incredible team of 12 dedicated fundraising staff who, along with the support of our event volunteers, work tirelessly to support our Hospice. Their dedication to, and care for, our supporters generates over £4 million annually, which is vital for funding our care.
This role is pivotal in ensuring our fundraising department thrives, and you will be responsible for balancing income generation with cost control, team leadership, and collaborating closely with our marketing and retail heads as one of our department leads. The team will be stewarding our amazing supporters and donors across fundraising areas such as Events, Community, Gifts in Wills, Corporate, Individual Giving, Trusts and Foundations, and Philanthropy.
Experience at a senior level in managing a varied and innovative fundraising environment, with a £2 million+ turnover, is crucial. But, more importantly, you must have a passion, and drive, for empowering teams and achieving meaningful results. What we do
Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects.
T&T has grown substantially over the last 5 years, and we are in an exciting time for the charity. We are reviewing our long-term aims and changing local needs to ensure programme delivery continues our extensive track record of positive outcomes. We also need to review our current contracted provision and best practices in the charity’s business and operations.
We are strengthening our offer whilst staying focused on our aims: ensuring that everyone feels part of a community and that no one is isolated or lonely. We are looking for a fresh pair of eyes to help us maintain best practice in our work.
