The Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) Programme is a one-year postgraduate diploma course which is part of the child mental health workforce development programme. The course started in January 2019 to train graduate entry practitioners to the child and young people mental health workforce. It is a key part of the Green Paper proposals to establish mental health workers in schools and contribute to increasing the workforce set out by the government by 2025.
The Course Tutor will support teaching delivery on the Pg Dip in Educational Mental Health Practitioner programme. Subject to candidate availability and interest, there is also an opportunity for the postholder to support the delivery of other low intensity and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)-based trainings offered within Postgraduate Studies at the Centre.
The ideal candidate will have a recognised qualification in a core mental health profession of Clinical Psychology, Child Psychotherapy, Family Therapy or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and/ or have specific training in CBT. The post-holder will also need to have experience working with children, young people, and families with psychological/emotional difficulties in a mental health service and/ or educational setting.

Main Responsibilities:
- To provide facilities management to all YMCAES sites across East Surrey. This includes 5 housing schemes and one sports and community centre all owned by the YMCAES together with six family and youth centres that the YMCA lease from local authorities.

Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. As an experienced youth worker who has worked with young women and girls with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety and support planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.
Experience of direct work with young women and girls who have experienced abuse, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

Operating within the Management Accounting team, the role holder will act as a Management Accountant for the business area(s) for which they are made responsible. The role:
- Be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate, relevant management information to all levels of management within assigned Directorate(s), regularly reviewing this information with the senior management team. This will include provision of monthly reports, critical review of results, value-add analysis, explanation of variances and early identification of potential issues / opportunities.
- Proactively provide improvements to procedures, applying sound judgement based on knowledge and experience.
- Be responsible for providing analysis that informs and supports effective decision making
- Apply various tools such as investment appraisal techniques to better inform decision making.
- Support the business in gathering evidence to assess the costs, benefits and risks of a wide range of delivery options when making commercial decisions, and provide advice which helps secure value-for-money (vfm).
- Support the business in the development of detailed business cases.

The successful candidate will:
- Be a fully qualified Accountant.
- Have strong analytical skills, able to identify and interpret trends and improve financial forecasting
- Have the ability to understand the strategic business goals of an organisation, able to ‘look beyond the numbers’ and understand the wider business context.
- Be a team player, with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to work with a diverse and broad range of stakeholders across the organisation. Demonstrable ability to influence.
- Have good written and oral communication skills, able to communicate clearly, concisely, accurately and in ways that promote understanding but stands ground when needed
- Have strong finance system skills including advanced Excel skills
Desirable criteria:
- An understanding of accounting policy and an appreciation of the implications for an organisation of Government legislation and accounting standards
This position will be based officially at the head office in Kew and will require the postholder to work from the office three days a week.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to support women and children who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. In this role you will provide line management and support to staff who work with and help women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse and are staying in our Lambeth refuges. Our Lambeth refuges are culturally specific services for women and children of African and Caribbean heritage. This will include providing supervision on complex casework issues such as child protection, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of casework.
