Reporting directly to the CEO, you will use your passion for enabling impact locally and across the globe to be the leading voice and relationship-builder with new and existing funder partners. You will get to work with organisations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Comic Relief, UBS Optimus Foundation and many other leading UK, US and international funders. You will also utilise your existing network to identify and win new business and strategic partnerships, by finding leads, nurturing relationships and closing contracts.
As Lightful expands their reach and impact, you will have ultimate responsibility to identify, develop and steward strategic relationships with a wide array of philanthropic funders, which will enable small charities and non-profits to become more resilient through digital skills, tools and training. Lightful’s approach is to build strong, long-lasting and impactful partnerships, which can be bilaterally or in cohorts of collaborative funding partners within specific geographies or around impact cause/theme areas. There is no limit to how partnerships can flourish at Lightful.
You will inspire the Partnerships team, be a collaborative member of Lightful’s senior leadership team and work closely with a highly passionate and engaged board of directors and colleagues across the Programme, Impact, Engineering, Design, Finance and People teams.
The successful candidate will have a varied set of skills and experiences, with strong commercial acumen and a deep knowledge of the philanthropic sector and a proven track record of developing plans and executing those plans to reach large revenue targets, ideally from an existing network within the sector.

Responsibilities of the role

Be responsible for securing a fixed amount of new business annually. Identify and secure new high-value partners through proactive prospecting, engaging pitches, and effective relationship building.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless partnership delivery, including Grants and Operations, Finance, Legal, and more.

Brainstorm creative partnership solutions to help us stand out and win both proactive and reactive briefs.

Identify, explore and network with relevant corporates and philanthropic foundations.

Diligently lead account management of large partnerships, providing materials, resources, contracts and project plans as required.

Produce comprehensive partnership reports to summarize activities to highlight key learnings and recommendations.

Provide support to Head of Brand Partnerships on all projects and practice adaptability according to external and internal priorities.

Right now, we are looking for a high performing senior fundraising leader to take on the role of Head of Fundraising Planning (maternity cover) at Royal British Legion. This senior role is an essential part of the fundraising leadership team, working to drive our strategic development and the implementation of some key projects across the department.
Leading a team of 7 with four managers, as Head of Fundraising Planning you will lead our approach to Customer Journeys, Case for Support, Portfolio Review, Innovation, Integrated Planning and Compliance.
It is an exciting time for fundraising at RBL. We are now one year into our Fundraising Strategy and have been evolving our ways of working and programme to drive growth. This role will help drive further change, championing supporter experience and bringing together organisational and sector insight.

Bonny Downs Community Association has been working together to change lives and transform our community since 1998. Over the past 25 years our team has grown to provide a wide array of services that benefit Newham residents from all walks of life.
This role is specifically funded through the Youth Endowment fund as a pilot project ‘Thriving Communities’. You will be required to work alongside Thriving Communities commissioners, as well as the project’s Youth Justice Worker’s, Educational Psychologist, and/or professionals assigned to individual young people’s cases- such as teachers, social workers and mentors. The Thriving Communities project is a small part of a wider collaborative project, EMPOWER YOUTH, delivered by two partner charities so, although this position is based at BDCA, you will be working closely with a second East Ham Youth Partnership Project lead and team of Sessional Assistants based at nearby charity The Renewal Programme (TRP). Staff from each organisation will work together to deliver the programme and cross-refer young people to activities led by both teams. You will also be required to work with BDCA’s own Children & Families team during the summer scheme and liaise with our marketing team all year round. External partner agencies that you will work directly with include Thriving Communities panel, Newham Youth Empowerment Service, Newham Community Engagement Team, local sports clubs and schools.

About the Role:
- Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities whilst creating a sense of teamwork by pulling together colleagues with differing skillsets and expertise.
- Implement processes for tracking procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of all IT assets including hardware, software, and licenses. This will require collaboration with our managed service provider.
- Act as the ITSM tool global administrator, assisting country program offices with maintenance, support, access, development of processes & training.
- Develop, update, and enforce IT policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and organisational goals.
- Manage the IT departments hub on the internal intranet platform, ensuring that it provides up-to-date information, news, and resources to employees.
- Oversee the transition of completed IT projects from the internal IT operations team, with potential collaboration from 3rd parties to the MSP service delivery team.
- Collaborate with the finance department to code, integrate, and maintain IT-related financial transactions in the organisation's financial systems ensuring accurate allocation of costs, budgets, and expenses related to IT operations.
- Provide oversight and leadership to the Global IT Operations team to ensure a high-quality service is delivered that meets the needs of the stakeholders.
