This is an exciting time to join Dementia UK. We're making significant investment in our fundraising programme as part of an ambitious new five-year strategy, creating two brand-new senior leadership roles that will play a pivotal part in growing sustainable income and helping more families access specialist dementia support

As Senior Manager, Legacies and In Memory, you'll lead the development and delivery of an ambitious strategy that inspires more people to leave a gift in their Will or give in memory of a loved one. You'll lead a talented team, foster a positive, high-performing culture and work across the organisation to maximise long-term fundraising opportunities.

You'll bring substantial experience of leading successful Legacies and/or In Memory fundraising programmes across both marketing and stewardship functions, with a track record of developing long-term strategies that grow sustainable income. You'll understand the sensitive nature of these audiences and be experienced in creating compelling supporter journeys, managing significant budgets and identifying innovative opportunities to grow legacy and in memory giving.

We're looking for an experienced and confident leader who knows how to build high-performing teams. You'll have a track record of creating an inclusive, positive team culture where people feel supported, motivated and empowered to achieve ambitious goals. About the role

This is an exciting new role with responsibility for leading and developing Lily's public fundraising programme, bringing together our sports events, special events, community fundraising and emerging individual giving activity.

Reporting to the COO, you'll provide leadership across the public fundraising team, ensuring our programmes work together to deliver an outstanding supporter experience and sustainable income growth. Key responsibilities

Role Description

The Senior Fundraising Manager will play a key strategic role in supporting the mission and ministry of St Edmundsbury Cathedral by developing and delivering a diverse range of fundraising activities, with a particular focus on Trusts and Foundations, major funding opportunities, donor stewardship and the growth of sustainable income.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, the role will identify and develop new funding opportunities, build strong relationships with Trusts and Foundations, and lead the preparation and submission of high-quality funding applications and reports. Key Responsibilities

Legacy and Appeals

Planned and Regular Giving

• Work with the Planned Giving Committee to develop and implement a strategy for increasing regular giving.

Patrons and Donors

• Manage and develop relationships with existing Patrons and key donors, ensuring high standards of engagement through regular communications, including e-newsletters, invitations and other appropriate engagement activities.
• Oversee the delivery of the Cathedral’s Patron events, including the Patrons’ Carol Service, Spring Trip and Summer Garden Party, working with colleagues to ensure events are delivered to a high standard.
• Monitor Patron membership, renewal dates and income, ensuring effective processes are in place for timely renewal communications.
• Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure Patron income and donations are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow the Cathedral’s Patron network and strengthen relationships with existing supporters.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate fundraising team and lead ambitious events and community fundraising activity that helps provide vital care and support to babies, young children and families across Coventry.

Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 per annum depending on experience

Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week (including occasional evenings and weekends)

About the role:

As Senior Events & Community Fundraising Manager, you'll lead the planning, delivery and growth of a varied programme of fundraising events and community activities. You'll create opportunities that generate income, inspire supporters and strengthen Zoe's Place's presence across Coventry.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the Events Fundraiser and Community Fundraiser through effective line management, coaching, regular feedback and performance support.
• Leading fundraising events from concept through to delivery, including budgeting, venue management, suppliers, logistics, risk assessments and compliance.
• Developing events and community fundraising plans, using insight and data to maximise engagement, income and supporter retention.
• Building strong relationships with donors, sponsors, businesses and community groups to secure long-term support.
• Creating compelling partnership opportunities and ensuring excellent supporter stewardship.
• Supporting and inspiring community fundraisers and volunteers to grow income and engagement.
• Monitoring budgets, income performance and KPIs, identifying opportunities to maximise fundraising success.

No two days will be the same. You could be leading a major fundraising event, meeting a community partner, coaching a member of your team, reviewing income performance or developing new ways to engage supporters.

About you:

• Experience delivering successful fundraising events, campaigns or community fundraising activity.
• Experience of line managing, coaching or mentoring colleagues, with the ability to motivate, develop and support others to achieve their potential.
• A proven ability to build and manage relationships with donors, sponsors, businesses and supporters.
• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting income and measuring impact.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations, GDPR compliance and best practice.
• Experience using fundraising databases or CRM systems.
• A collaborative, positive and proactive leadership style.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

As Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will lead a blended portfolio of HNWIs and trusts and foundations, stewarding some of the charity's most significant relationships while developing new six and seven-figure opportunities. Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, you'll have the chance to influence strategy, develop innovative funding propositions and help drive the continued growth of the programme.

This role would suit an ambitious and entrepreneurial fundraiser who is excited by the prospect of genuine ownership, enjoys leading from the front and is motivated by the opportunity to make a significant contribution to both the organisation's mission and the future success of its philanthropy programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head of Philanthropy to develop and deliver a 3-year philanthropy strategy focused on continued income growth
• Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors, trusts and foundations building lasting relationships that deliver sustainable support
• Design thoughtful and engaging stewardship plans that inspire donors and strengthen long-term engagement
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to create compelling proposals, impact reports and bespoke donor communications
• Undertake strategic prospect research to build a strong pipeline of opportunities and confidently lead cultivation and solicitation activity
• Spearhead the development of an exciting new philanthropic proposition with the potential to unlock increased unrestricted and flexible funding

Person Specification

• Experience in a philanthropy role with a relationship-first approach to major donors and/or trusts/foundations at the 6-figure+ level
• Demonstrable experience of successfully managing the full donor cycle, from prospect research and pipeline development, to cultivation, solicitation and long-term stewardship
• A natural relationship-builder, with excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Creativity, curiosity and commercial awareness, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding donor experiences
• A self-starter who enjoys taking ownership, spotting opportunities and helping to shape the future of a growing programme
