This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract paying a salary of £45,760 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their offices in Victoria, London.
The post holder will be a key player in the delivery of their bespoke challenge event portfolio during a period of growth for the team and the charity. They will deliver flagship events as Project Manager, specifically the Cateran Yomp, expanding and increasing the net income and reach of this product. They will line manage the Events Executive to deliver the Frontline Walk series of events, including delivering the new Home Front Event. They will work collaboratively with other project managers across their events portfolio to play a vital role in raising £3.5 million across the Events and High Value Relationships team.
They are looking for someone with a demonstrable track record of delivering significant fundraising projects or campaigns and managing six figure income and expenditure budgets. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable project management skills, experience in fundraising and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people from a variety of backgrounds. You’ll be joining the team as we continue to refine and expand our mass participation events portfolio including London Paris Ride, Great North Run and 100 miles for myeloma. You will have experience in event delivery or project planning, delivering these activities within tight deadlines while successfully building effective relationships.
The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team. You will be self-motivated and able to work remotely with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks and having an interest in sporting and mass participation fundraising events.
Previous experience or knowledge of digital marketing, virtual fundraising events and using Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential.
About the role
As the Events Fundraiser you will be required to research, promote and deliver fundraising events, campaigns and activities, providing excellent stewardship to supporters, whilst working to help achieve monthly fundraising income targets. You will work to deliver an annual calendar of runs, walks, challenge and sporting events across the UK as well increasing support through Myeloma UK virtual and Facebook events.
The role holder will work with the Senior Event Development Fundraiser to provide the highest quality of event delivery as well as developing relationships, securing support, marketing, delivering and monitoring the event ensuring post event evaluation and future recommendations are made. They will also work closely with Community Fundraisers, supporting them as they identify opportunities to expand and diversify their fundraising portfolio.

What the job involves
Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a wide range of activities, events and challenges. Alongside our own flagship events, we recruit teams for some of the UK’s best-loved sporting events, including the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon. The team also organise our flagship walking event, March for Men, and our Tour de France themed cycling event, the Grand Depart Classic.
As Senior Sporting Events Executive, you’ll take the operational lead in delivering income across our third-party events programme, alongside project managing our team of London Marathon runners. You’ll manage at least one Events and Community Coordinator, supporting their development and ensuring the team delivers outstanding supporter care at every stage. You’ll also play a key role in spotting and developing new opportunities within the charity events market.
This is a hands-on role covering every aspect of event delivery; from leading project meetings, setting budgets and developing marketing plans, to crafting supporter communications, managing logistics and providing on-the-day event support. You’ll also oversee post-event processes such as remittance and thanking supporters, ensuring we maximise income and provide a first-class experience for every participant. We have a great opportunity for a Senior Trusts and Statutory Manager working for the fantastic Tommy’s, pregnancy and baby charity. This role will sit within the Trusts and Statutory team, who work closely with Corporate, Philanthropy and Major Donor colleagues. and aims to raise £1.1m. This role will lead the growth and management of a portfolio of trust and statutory funders (mainly £10K-£100K) and you will identify new opportunities, write and submit compelling proposals and manage exciting relationships.
To be successful as the Senior Trusts and Statutory Manager will need:
- Experience securing grants (£75k) from warm and cold trust/statutory funders.
- Experience identifying and cultivating cold prospects.
- Experience developing and managing relationships with trust/statutory donors.

- Manage Just Giving and other online giving platforms for community events, and ensuring that donors and participants are thanked in a timely and appropriate manner
- Organise and support volunteers for events and campaigns as needed, making sure they feel valued and ready to help
- Respond to general telephone and in-person enquiries about donations and fundraising
About you
- Proven experience in community fundraising and volunteer management
- A strong understanding of relational fundraising and how to grow supporter networks
- Ability to manage and update budget/financial information to achieve income and expenditure targets
- Effective project management experience to take ideas from planning through to successful delivery
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong writing skills to create clear, timely reports and communications
- Confidence in networking and representing the organisation at all levels

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the overall Major Donor Strategy, budget, and KPIs, providing the strategic insight needed to significantly grow the programme.

- Ability to write inspiring, persuasive, and complex proposals and donor communications that convey the urgency and impact of their work.
- Ability to work at pace on multiple high-value opportunities, particularly in a fast-moving environment

Summary of the role:
The Income Generation Support Officer will provide day-to-day administrative departmental support and support to the department Director to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. This role will focus on generating reports, tracking progress, and ensuring all the necessary processes relating to compliance, finance and HR are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
About the Role:
- Maintain and improve departmental filing systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
- Undertake small-scale project work including researching, analysing and recommending next steps.
- Provide support to the IGM management team in responding to correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required.
- Track Managers delivery of action points to ensure timeframes and outcomes are met, escalating to Head or Director of IGM for further action as appropriate.
- Undertake full inbox and extensive diary management, ensuring an effective use of time and preparation of information in advance. Sort, redirect and action emails and review an effective ‘bring up’ system to brief and prepare the Director Income Generation and Marketing for meetings / events.

The post-holder will raise a wide range of gifts for projects in multiple areas of the NT’s work, including relatively complex applications and gifts ranging from 5-figure grants to those above £100,000.
