Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the development and implementation of the trusts and grants team strategy.
• Generating funding toward the team income target of £4.2m with an approximate contribution of £200,000 annually through management of existing trust relationships and the trusts mailing. 
• Managing your own portfolio of 20+ existing funders, providing them with excellent stewardship.
• Developing effective relationships with trusts via telephone, email, Zoom and face to face contact – at meetings and events.
• Maintaining relationships with new and existing funders and then submitting excellent quality funding reports/applications. 
• Maximising on charitable trust relationships to secure the maximum amount of funding. 
• Using your creativity  and new ideas to lead on the growth of the income of the trusts mailing
• Demonstrating perseverance and determination in order to develop new funding relationships. 

Skills

• Passion to support children and young people, preventing mental health issues from developing 
• Ideally one year or more experience in Trusts fundraising, although this does not need to be exclusively working on Charitable Trusts’
• A positive ‘can-do’ approach and a flexible team player who will contribute to the overall success of the team
• A proactive self-starter who can manage their own workload in a self-directed environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to communicate and influence others verbally
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to produce work to a high professional standard
• Demonstrable experience of working to and achieving deadlines, effectively planning out your time
• Ideally experience in personally securing fundraising income
• The ability to produce project budgets and the attention to detail, checking budgets for accuracy

The Role

To join a friendly, open team and support the Acquisition Manager and work alongside another Senior DM Officer.

Develop and deliver the media acquisition strategy, taking ownership of multiple campaigns across DRTV, Press, inserts and outdoor.

Deliver annual portfolio of acquisition campaigns, all the way from proposal and concept stage to evaluation, across a range of media. Budget managing campaigns ranging from £40-100k budgets.

Breathe innovation throughout your campiagns and proactively support the curlture of learning and development.

Monitor data requirements for acquisition campaigns ensuring that logistically campaigns run smoothly and are analysed continually to improve ROI and LTV.

The Candidate
1 years+ experience in one of the channels DRTV, Press, Inserts or outdoor.

Proven experience of DM campaign management ideally including developing new creative approaches, and sourcing, managing,negotiating and liaising with suppliers.

Experience of writing fundraising/direct marketing copy.

Experience of managing large expenditure budgets.

Role Context

ALIMA UK is in its start-up phase and is made up of a small team. This period is exciting at times unpredictable.  We need someone reliable who enjoys and has a proven track record of leading and delivering on operational projects for a business or charity while working with senior stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES

ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

• Driving and implementing a varied range of projects that support the smooth set-up of the UK charity, in collaboration with the UK Head of Development 
• Virtual Office Management, including organising cloud based filing systems, managing resources including IT, coordinating information collection 

 FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

• Research and make recommendations of funding opportunities (new funders) and the best fit with EJF’s current and planned programmes. Draft initial enquiries (LoI or call) or funding applications. Ensure timely, appropriate follow-up is conducted and that we collect and learn from feedback.

• As directed, manage relationships with funders, ensuring timely reporting that meets their needs. This will include drafting the funder newsletter (bi-monthly) and providing new materials, such as reports, films, audits, etc.

• Draft funding proposals and monitor all deadlines for reporting, planning for the timebound and efficient delivery, and working with team members to ensure the highest quality reports are drafted in good time.

• Organise a monthly meeting with the directors and COO to present opportunities and actions and agree on priorities and approaches to donors.

• Take the lead in preparing government grant applications, liaising with colleagues for information and finessing draft texts.

• Maintain the grant database and ensure it is regularly checked and updated and that leads are followed up.

• Maintain the grants calendar, ensuring you are aware of reporting deadlines and other priority needs well in advance and ensuring no deadlines are missed. The role will take a proactive lead and coordinate as required.

• Assist in delivering events to update existing and attract new funders and ensure appropriate follow-up.

• Assist in crafting presentations to funders and, as required, work with the comms team to develop films or other materials.

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships team, using your skills and experience to grow the corporate partnerships programme and secure support from new corporate supporters.

As the Corporate Partnerships Senior Officer, you will lead on securing new six figure multi-year corporate partnerships. You will develop partnership proposals and deliver compelling pitches to secure the support of new corporate partners. All parts of the Church will need to raise funds to implement this net zero plan. In 2024 and 2025, the Church of England is testing and piloting a range of approaches to help churches fundraise for projects. Our feasibility study identified that statutory sources of funding, currently under-accessed will be a new area of opportunity for churches, schools and housing to access.

The Giving Directorate is leading on the strategy to coordinate and support the plans being developed by our dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments. In addition, The Giving Directorate and NetZero Programme Team will be engaging with funders at a national level to secure investment for projects.

Job Summary:

As Net Zero Carbon Statutory Fundraising Coordinator, you will work in The Giving Directorate and operate across the whole Church with a focus on supporting parishes and dioceses to access statutory funds. You will share your knowledge and insight to support with identifying, researching and applying to funding from a range of government sources. You will develop and maintain resources, guidance and training and help share best practice across the country, as well as working with regional fundraisers. With a range of projects and fundraising initiatives, the post holder will work collaboratively within The Giving Directorate and with the Net Zero Programme Team, with diocesan colleagues and with church volunteers.

The role:

Main responsibilities

• Develop a national plan to secure statutory funding at parish and diocesan level
• Acting as a central point of coordination between the schools, housing and parish fundraising workstreams to oversee statutory funding
• Working specifically with the Regional Fundraising Officer in the north west cluster of dioceses to identify and support applications to statutory funding sources by parishes
• Working with Net Zero Implementation Manager to support statutory funding applications for clergy housing
• Building capacity in dioceses to support senior staff (incl. Bishops) to use their networks to identify relevant statutory funding opportunities (e.g. mayors, local council leadership, police and crime commissioners etc)
• Supporting dioceses to think creatively about packaging projects up a) between parishes, b) between parishes, schools and clergy housing, c) across deaneries.
• Leading consortia of dioceses to apply for funding if available and supporting applications
• Building a hub of best practice and shared learning which will include designing and delivering training to staff and volunteers at all levels
• Sharing statutory funding opportunities across the Church of England, Net Zero Carbon, Giving, and Fundraising networks and with Cathedrals

The ideal candidate:

To be successful, you will need experience of securing statutory funding for projects and of other aspects of fundraising. You will need to be a very strong self-motivator and initiator as the job requires an ability to work across a wide geographical area on a diverse range of projects. Experience managing projects would also be useful. You will be an excellent trainer and communicator.

Due to the specialist nature of the roles within The Giving Directorate, training will be provided to successful candidates to enable them to carry out their role confidently.

• Educated to degree level, or equivalent/relevant experience.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising

We are seeking a brilliant major donor fundraiser to play a crucial role in generating funds from HNWIs through major gifts and legacies. As Senior Philanthropy Manager you will step into a newly created position in the team that will focus on creating and implementing a compelling major donor programme.

Your focus will be to inspire giving for investment in the Hall, including initiatives to improve accessibility and sustainability, as well as the Hall’s pioneering community engagement programme. You will be a creative, driven and strategic individual who has a track record of developing engaging supporter journeys and soliciting transformational gifts.

As Senior Philanthropy Manager you will:

• create and deliver the major donor strategy focused on driving growth and income from HNWIs;
• personally manage a portfolio of philanthropists giving 5, 6 and 7-figure gifts;
• oversee and develop the prospect pipeline, proactively researching potential supporters and utilising networks from senior stakeholders involved in the Hall;
• consistently deliver exceptional stewardship journeys, knowing how to capitalise on the incredible array of events at the Hall as powerful engagement tools;
• produce and present compelling cases for support to secure transformational restricted and unrestricted donations;
• provide leadership and support to the Philanthropy Coordinator;
• work closely with the rest of the Philanthropy team to identify and maximise the lifetime support of donors.

• Demonstrable experience of managing and securing 5- and 6-figure+ gifts from HNWIs

What will you be working on? As Head of Fundraising Innovation, you will:

-lead on the strategy and planning of the innovation programme across the Fundraising Income directorate, working cross-organisationally and with the local Mind network.

-lead innovation insight, development and project delivery through matrix management, working closely with Heads of teams on a project-by-project basis to ensure the delivery of a holistic approach to innovation at Mind.

You will use innovation techniques and processes to engage teams in tacking problems and harnessing opportunities to help raise more income.

Key duties and responsibilities

What does all of this look like day-to-day?

You'll be responsible for planning, implementing and managing the innovation strategy across all income streams within Mind's Fundraising Income directorate including:

-Managing the operational delivery of new product development and adaptation of existing products with a focus on continuous improvement

-Working with teams and product owners to upskill and embed innovation ways of working across all teams in the directorate, with clear roles and responsibilities

-Identify opportunities for income growth, contributing to key cross-org projects that have the potential to impact on, and improve fundraising

-Overseeing budgets, KPI setting and reporting - both annual and longer-term

You will also manage key relationships with external agencies and oversee contracts and partner performance as well as line managing our brilliant Senior Innovation Officer (Fundraising).
