The role

As the breadth and volume of our fundraising activity has grown over the last couple of years, an opportunity has arisen for a detail orientated and enthusiastic individual to join our database team. This role will be line managed by the Database Manager, with a dotted line to the Senior Database Officer to ensure the smooth running of our income processing activity, making a significant impact for the charity, and enabling excellent supporter care.

The team

Our dynamic fundraising department are preparing for an ambitious multimillion-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital. We pride ourselves on being a supporter focused and agile function, working at the heart of the charity to deliver impact for patients and staff across our hospitals.

Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:

- Our Public Fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges. Our Philanthropy and Campaign teams builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, and corporate organisations which give, or have potential to give, £10,000 to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our exciting cancer campaign which is due to launch in 2025.

- Our database team sit within Fundraising, with their work underpinning and supporting the entire department.

The School:

Merchant Taylors’ School is a large Independent Boys’ School, situated in 280 acres of parkland in Northwood, Middlesex.  The School was founded in 1561, is owned by the Merchant Taylors’ Educational Trust and moved to its present site in 1933. There are four distinct boys’ day schools on campus. The Nursery, the Pre-Prep & the Prep cater for 370 boys, while the Senior School has over 960 pupils. The Senior School employs over 110 teachers and 160 Support staff across Merchant Taylors’ School.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Fundraising

· Developing and innovating the school’s regular giving programme, the Merchant Taylors’ Fund, to ensure a consistent income stream and increased participation from alumni, parents and friends.

· In conjunction with external consultants, running our (currently) biennial telephone fundraising campaigns and Giving Days.

· Liaising with school departments, clubs and societies to identify exciting projects to motivate supporters.

· Segmenting and targeting recipients for appeals to ensure the greatest impact and returns.

· Devising the strategy for promoting legacy giving as a means of supporting Merchant Taylors’, and to implement this strategy to increase the number of known legacy pledges to the school.

 Stewardship

· Establishing and running a comprehensive benefactor stewardship programme that thanks and stewards donors at all levels, including legacy pledges, through regular communication and events.

Reporting

· Reporting on progress against all objectives to the Development and Alumni Relations Sub-Committee of Governors.

· Where appropriate, working with the Development Executive (Events and Communications), to produce benefactor report publications and contribute to other Development publications.

· Ensuring that all contact with OMTs and parents is recorded on the Development Office’s database, the Raiser’s Edge.

Prostate Cancer Research aims to develop and deliver breakthrough medicines and treatments to achieve a world where people are free from the impact of prostate cancer. In the last four years, we have expanded the amount of research it funds by four times. 

Prostate Cancer Research is seeking a an experienced, dynamic and driven Trusts & Statutory Executive. The role will take a lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners, developing and managing a pipeline of funding partners that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work. 

Since 2018, PCR has significantly increased income from Trusts & Foundations and Statutory sources, as well as working in collaboration with other medical research charities and non-profits. This is a newly created and integral role within the Partnership Fundraising team to build on this work and will be key to identifying and nurturing relationships with prospective partners and funders, as well as developing and implementing comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective partners. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with funding partners (with experience of identifying and securing at least five-figure income), understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and manage strong, impactful relationships.

Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct proactive prospecting and qualification of Trusts & Statutory funding opportunities to build a robust pipeline of potential funders. 

• Identify and nurture relationships with prospective Trust & Foundations and Statutory funding partners aligned with the mission and values of PCR. 

• Develop and implement comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective funding partners. 

• Stay informed about PCR’s current and future work and translate larger, complex programmes of work into relevant, compelling funding asks.

• Work closely with PCR's delivery departments and other income streams to identify, develop and maximise income generation opportunities.

• Support Director of Partnerships to monitor and report income performance to PCR’s Board of Trustees.

A little bit about the role 

The trusts fundraiser role sits in the fundraising team within the external relations division. The fundraising team is responsible for raising between £1m and £1.5m in fundraised income annually. Frontline’s philanthropic income complements the significant contract income the charity receives from central and local government and enables the charity to carry out its broader mission to create social change for hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged children.

Since we were founded in 2013, Frontline has leveraged its success to build committed, high impact partnerships with a number of prestigious supporters including trusts and foundations, corporates and high net worth individuals. Our new fundraising strategy focuses on continuing to grow our network of supporters by maintaining excellent relationships with our current funders while identifying new potential donors, and at the same time testing and developing fundraising through community and events and individual giving.

We are now looking for a trusts fundraiser to help drive this strategy forward. The successful candidate will have experience in building relationships and securing income, helping us to build relationships with new trust funders while stewarding effectively our current trust and foundation relationships.

The successful candidate will work closely with the head of fundraising and the fundraising manager to implement Frontline’s annual fundraising plan, taking specific responsibility for researching, building relationships with, writing persuasive proposals to and securing income from new trust and foundation funders, while also providing excellent stewardship and reporting to current funders. The fundraising team is supported by the marketing, events and communications staff of the external relations division.

Some key responsibilities include:

• To develop a pipeline of potential trust funders through prospect research, the development of strong relationships, and writing of persuasive, creative and inspiring applications. 
• To arrange meetings and engagement opportunities with new funders, including ensuring that other Frontline staff are involved in supporting applications and pitches where appropriate. 
• To account manage a portfolio of existing trust supporters, providing excellent stewardship and planning and writing high quality grant and funding reports in line with reporting deadlines. 
• To work closely with other teams at Frontline, particularly the fellowship team and evaluation team, to develop proposals and reports, bring funders closer to our work and help inspire a culture of fundraising across the charity.

A little bit about you 

You will be an experienced fundraiser, with experience in securing grants from trusts and foundations in particular. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, target-driven and passionate about delivering persuasive cases for support through crafting creative and imaginative funding proposals.

We have a fast-moving culture within the team and organisation, so we’re looking for someone who is who is well organised, details-focused and can use their initiative to do what works. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn. JustMoney Movement is seeking a part-time Fundraising lead to help us grow a more sustainable funding base. The role will work with senior staff to develop our strategic case for support to target small organisational/ institutional donors (£1-5k grants/ donations).

We are a Christian charity using education and advocacy to work towards our vision of a fairer, greener future, through the transformation of our financial system and wider economy. We want to grow and diversify our funding base, reducing our dependence on a small number of grants, and building a movement of allies who feel part of the community and are willing to financially support it.

The Fundraising lead will work with senior staff to develop a case for support for our overall strategy and use this to target small organisational/ institutional donors including small trusts; corporates and organisations; and churches. 

Role description

· Grade 3.1 expected FTE salary £35,700 pro-rated to 0.4 FTE/ 14 hours a week = £14,280 (subject to annual inflationary pay review).

· Fixed term 12-month contract. This post has funding for 1 year.  If successful, there could be scope to extend the role for longer.

· Remote based: this role will be based from home, with occasional travel to meetings in London or elsewhere in the UK, for which expenses will be payable. This role is equivalent to 2 days a week but hours can be worked flexibly through the week.

We are excited to announce that in September we are opening two new clubs in the Bromley borough (location to be confirmed).  One club will be for Juniors (4-8 years) and one club for Seniors (12-16 years).  We are seeking a Supervisor for these new clubs.

This newly created role reports to Programme Delivery Manager to implement programmes supporting our autistic members. Key responsibilities include: 

• Supporting the Programme Delivery Manager on leading a range of programmes addressing members’ developmental needs. 

• Support members in personal and social development, promoting peer relationships. 

• Manage various administrative tasks including maintaining members’ needs assessments and communicating any update or changes. 

Salary Band: £8,268 per annum 

Contract Type 1-year Fixed Term contract

Working Pattern: 10 hours per week. Weekday(s) late afternoons and evenings.  School holidays mornings and afternoons. Weekend trips. 

Location: Bromley based location 

Potential attendance may be required at events and meetings outside regular working hours on an ad hoc basis.

We have a great opportunity for a Principal Gifts Lead, generating income for the four London Youth Zones for the OnSide Network. This role would be great for an individual who has worked in leadership roles and wants to retain seniority but doesn’t want to line manage.

You will be a key ambassador for the charity, working with the London Youth Zones, creating exciting new connections and potential donor leads. To be successful as the Principal Gifts Lead you will need:

• Proven experience and track record of personally securing seven figure gifts from donors through face-to-face meetings or strong transferable experience in the corporate sector such as client-facing business development, sales or banking/finance
• Exceptional experience of developing a new pipeline of prospective donors/clients/customers and being pro-active in successfully converting these to achieve ambitious targets.
• An enthusiasm for and ability to make new connections with senior individuals; at ease in networking and holding your own in a room of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and well other connected people.
