The Hardman Trust supports people on long prison sentences to take their next steps in life. As the Finance Manager your role is to help make this a reality through the effective management of our financial processes. You’ll use your experience from other charity finance roles, along with your accountancy / financial management qualifications, to help ensure our approach to financial management is effective, efficient, up-to-date and in line with charity accounting standards. 

You will be well-organised and motivated to support the wider team in their work. Reporting to the CEO and supporting the Treasurer, you will ensure we have up-to-date information on the financial health of the organisation. You will help to ensure we are maximising the use of restricted funding, and that money is spent in line with donors’ wishes. 

You will lead on ensuring we have robust organisational systems and processes in place for effective financial management. This includes the production and sharing of management accounts, ensuring payroll and invoices are paid on time, devising financial reports, and providing budgetary support. You’ll ensure that accurate records are maintained and that we are reporting our accounts in line with SORP guidelines. 

You will lead on the ongoing development and maintenance of our finance systems, policies and procedures, ensuring they are fit for purpose for a growing organisation.

The Services Marketing and Communications Officer is responsible for developing and delivering marketing and communications plans to support specific service KPI’s and objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

· Develop and deliver bespoke marketing and communications plans and activities specific to particular Family Action services and targeted at their audiences (public and professional).

· Develop marketing collateral, press releases, guides/toolkits, adverts, articles for professional magazines, e-bulletins/newsletters, web pages, events, etc.

· Ensure all services marketing activity is brand compliant and aligned to Family Action’s corporate priorities, as well as meeting the needs of the specific service.

· Manage the production of marketing collateral using design tools/software and/or Family Action templates. This will include copywriting, proof reading, image selection.

· Liaison with and management of external suppliers, such as designers and printers, when appropriate. Management of the production process on behalf of the service/s you work for and budget management.

· Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering a range of successful marketing and communications activity across multiple channels and for a variety of stakeholders.

· Experience of working within a corporate visual identity and translating that for multiple uses.

· Experience of materials development, e.g. writing, editing, proofreading, design (including the use of design software).

· Some understanding of website design and delivery, e.g. developing content, navigation, accessibility, SEO.

· Experience of managing external consultants and suppliers, e.g designers, printers.

· Experience of managing projects to be delivered on time and in budget.

· A marketing or design qualification or similar experience, and evidence of a commitment to continuing learning and professional development.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job description

The Senior Finance Officer will sit at the heart of our Operations Team, reporting to the Head of Operations and the Co-CEOs and playing a crucial function in ensuring the efficient day-to-day management of the organisation’s financial functions.

This will include all day-to-day management of our financial systems and banking, including our accountancy software (Quickbooks) and our internal financial spreadsheets. This involves recording and tracking the income expected from funders, processing invoices and payments, preparing payroll and producing monthly reconciliations and termly budgets. You will also work with our teams to ensure compliance with our financial policies, process expenses and work with our external accountants each year to provide the information needed for our accounts.

You will also research, advise and steer on both necessary changes to our processes, policies and procedures and standalone project work which may involve tasks such as reviewing our pensions processes or any savings and investments. You will understand and enjoy the challenge that working at a charity with multiple complex funding streams brings.

You will have experience of similar work, ideally in the charity sector and will be familiar with the use of both accountancy software and managing cashflows and budgets using Excel. You will have excellent communication and people skills as well as a proactive approach to problem solving and be methodical with a very keen attention to detail.

Full Fact is a team of independent fact checkers and campaigners who find, expose and counter the harm it does – a team which has seen firsthand how bad information promotes hate, damages people’s health and hurts democracy. Full Fact fights for the right information to reach the people who need it most, whether that’s individuals making decisions about their health or who to vote for; or politicians debating the future of our country.

The Philanthropy Officer will create and manage their own portfolio of existing and potential philanthropy donors and use relationship building skills to create strong links with both new and existing donors, including delivering high quality stewardship and reporting on Full Fact’s successes. The Senior Policy Researcher will be responsible for developing and delivering insightful and timely qualitative, quantitative and participatory policy research. As well as producing and scrutinising high-quality mixed-methods research, they will work closely with colleagues to ensure that this is accessible for a range of audiences in order that it can best meet the organisation’s policy influencing goals.

• Coordinate, design, and deliver research projects and ad hoc analysis on policy areas which contribute to our strategic goal of ending the need for food banks, including (but not limited to) Universal Credit, disability benefits, mental health, in-work poverty and debt

Welcare is recruiting an experienced Family Support Worker to deliver a broad-based preventative support service for families with children up to the age of 13 in partnership with schools, churches, the local authority and other agencies, in the London boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich.

General Duties:

2. Hold a caseload of 4 families delivering “whole family” or targeted interventions.

3. Lead and facilitate community group work programmes including 6 #CapeAbility in Schools programme which aims to build resilience and self-esteem for children in key stage 2.

4. Lead and facilitate groupwork programmes for parents such Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities and Child Overcoming Domestic Abuse.

5. Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults you work with directly and take appropriate action if escalation is needed.

We’re looking for a MEAL specialist who is, at heart, a peacebuilder.  You’ll deputise for the Regional Director as needed, and work collaboratively as a key part of the Regional Leadership Team to shape the strategic direction of Concordis’ future work across the Central African region.

As Regional Head of MEAL, your work will go above and beyond reporting to the donor on logframe outputs and outcomes to the donor, as important as those are.  With your extensive peacebuilding experience, you’ll work with the team to develop and implement sophisticated metrics for measuring these changes over time.  You’ll feed this information back into programme delivery, to ensure programmes remain accountable to the wider population and adapt to the rapidly changing and fragile contexts in which we work.

You’ll also use your flair for writing and your publishing skills to produce more informal news items, telling stories of the impact of our work, and publicising the recommendations that come from dialogues we facilitate.  This will help us amplify voices that are often ignored by decision makers, leading to evidence-based policy making.

Using their years of frontline work and deep understanding of the challenges faced by young refugees and asylum seekers, Young Roots are now focusing on campaigning and influencing policy to bring about positive change. The Head of Finance and Operations will support significant growth and associated transformation of their Finance and Operations to underpin their ability to provide these vital services to support young refugee’s increasingly complex needs.

Reporting to the CEO and leading a team of 3, the Head of Finance and Internal Operations is a critical leadership role providing advice and analysis to the Board and its Committees. This role will drive the vision and direction of Young Roots as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will set the strategy for Finance, HR, IT and Facilities. This role offers a rare opportunity to contribute at a big-picture strategic level, whilst maintaining the ability to manage their finances in a hands-on way for a genuinely amazing charity.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Leadership: As part of the Senior Leadership Team, support the CEO to develop, implement, and drive the vision and strategy for Young Roots; Develop and lead a first-class Finance and Operations Team; Support the SLT in its decision-making by providing expert analysis across finance, governance, HR, IT, risk, and facilities perspectives.  
• Finance & Planning: Provide robust financial governance and long-term financial planning; Lead financial reporting, production of management accounts, budgeting, reforecasting, and cashflow monitoring; Partner with Head of Fundraising and the SLT to ensure income generation and fundraising strategy is fit-for-purpose; Ensure statutory responsibilities are delivered in compliance to charity SORP; Lead the audit process; Ensure finance systems and controls are fit-for-purpose; Manage all contracts, ensuring services and bids are valued robustly and reflect ROI; Manage payroll; Ensure funding partners receive insightful financial reporting.
• HR: With the CEO and HR Manager, develop and implement a DEI and Wellbeing strategy; Ensure HR policies and procedures are fit-for-purpose, including ER, recruitment, and H&S.
• IT: With IT Consultant, develop and lead the implementation of IT and Digital Transformation strategy; Ensure database and day-to-day IT support is in place; Act as Data Officer.
• Premises: Oversee facilities function; Lead on lease and building issues; Support CEO, SLT, and Trustees with premises options and represent Young Roots with landlord and agent; Ensure all facilities including IT, office space, and utilities are fit-for-purpose and compliant.

• Qualified Accountant. Track-record of providing financial information, annual reports & accounts to Senior Leaders, Board and Trustees within the charity sector
• Hands-on and strategic. Ability to think strategically about the future director of the charity and translate that vision into a financial strategy and operational plans and changes. Ability to communicating effectively to Trustees and operations staff

• Charity Expert. Strong knowledge of SORP, and expertise in restricted fund accounting.
• Audit leadership
• Desire to oversee HR, Facilities, and IT functions.
• First-class collaboration, time-management, and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously with strategic guidance from the CEO  
• Ability to visit the King's Cross and Brent offices / activities on a monthly basis and a monthly all-staff away day in central London.
• Ability to attend Saturday morning Board meetings 6 times per year.

About Myaware

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people living with myasthenia.  

Myasthenia means muscle weakness. The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions including myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia, Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome and congenital myasthenic syndrome.

· We work to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition.

· We provide support services for people living with myasthenia and their families. These include welfare advice, online support groups and webinars, social media peer support groups and support and information via telephone and email.

· We raise vital awareness and campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals.

· Myaware funds research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors. 

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic guidance and oversight, ensure operational efficiency and sustainability, and maintain the organisation's commitment to serving the myasthenia community.

Your responsibilities in the role will include:

· Advising and working with the Chair and Trustees on the strategic direction of the charity and implementing board decisions,

· Leading by example and embodying Myaware values of respect, passion, collaboration, integrity and sustainability,

· Networking across the sector and raising the profile of the charity and people living with myasthenia across the nations where Myaware operates,

· Delivering effective management and administration of the organisation,

· Leading a fantastic team of colleagues, supporting their work and development and displaying emotional intelligence and leadership.

· Providing a clear vision and promoting the mission, aims and objective of Myaware and leading delivering the budget, an ambitious fundraising strategy and organisational direction.

Location: Remote, with regular attendance at offices in Derby

Salary: £50-55K dependent on experience

Reports to: Chair and Board of Trustees

Holiday: 36 days including statutory bank holidays

The Programmes Support Officer post will deliver on a range of database tasks and processes using our grant management and project monitoring database. The Role  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with up to 3 years of experience in administration which includes administering and monitoring databases. The post will provide the Team with accurate, timely and comprehensive data, reports and minutes to support and enable effective grant making and decision making. The post plays a crucial role in supporting the whole Team in the UK and in Africa with the potential for visiting Egmont Partners and projects in southern & eastern Africa. 

The successful candidate will be highly IT competent, possess good written communication skills and have a positive attitude and strong desire to help meet the objectives of this small but very effective international development charity. A keen eye to detail, a methodical and analytical mind are critical requirements of the role. The ideal candidate will be young self-motivated, capable of working as part of a team and under their own initiative. Strong IT knowledge and experience in MS Office and data administration are essential requirements of the role. 

Flexibility will also be a key attribute. They will be part of a small team who have overlapping responsibilities and support each other in the delivery of Egmont’s strategy.
