Salary: Up to £30,892 per annum, inclusive of an additional £1,000 unsociable hours allowance for weekend shift work (approximately one weekend in four)
Benefits: Annual leave of 25 days (excluding bank holidays) plus an additional day’s leave per annum, Employee Assistance Programme, Contributory Pension Scheme inc. employer-matched contributions of up to 5%
Hours of work: 35 hours per week Monday to Sunday (shift work).

Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of women who have been referred for support from Probation Services, in partnership with the Women’s Support Centre, Surrey.

1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive advocacy support both in prison and the community, to women on remand in HMP Bronzefield, HMP Downview and HMP Send
2. Development and maintenance of professional relations in prison and the community
3. Ensure clear, timely and effective communication and record keeping
4. Proactively seek to develop your personal and professional practice, and contribute to wider organisational development
5. Contribute to building a feminist leadership culture and positive working environment for Women in Prison
