The Royal British Legion is looking for an experienced manager to lead their philanthropy, mid value and trusts function and make a difference to the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.

The Head of High Value Giving will come in to a portfolio with huge potential and a solid base to build from. The successful candidate will own and lead the high value programme, be the in-house expert and transform high value giving to fund crucial services for the armed forces community,

The post holder will have the experience, energy, and expertise to recognise the vast opportunity within the team and take the programme to the next level. They will lead by example in cultivating both UK based and international trusts and develop relationships with key stakeholders to build out a major donor programme, whilst overseeing an amazing team to continue to deliver brilliant results.

Prospectus are excited to be working exclusively with Action Syria to help them recruit for their first Head of Development. Action Syria (formerly Hands Up Foundation) is a small and innovative charity that funds health and education programmes in Syria and neighbouring countries. Hands Up Foundation was founded in 2012 and has raised millions for humanitarian aid in Syria and surrounding countries. To mark their commitment to helping Syrian people affected by conflict, displacement, and natural disaster, they changed their name from Hands Up Foundation to Action Syria in 2024.

This role is offered on a flexible permanent contract basis paying a salary between £40,000 to £50,000 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their Office in Shoreditch.

This newly created role will be part of the senior leadership team and lead the fundraising function at Action Syria. The post holder will work with the CEO and team to deliver their ambitious fundraising goals over the next three years with an aim to increase annual income to £1 million. They will also aim to expand and diversify their supporter base with emphasis on attracting new audiences and networks; gaining more multi-year grants from Trusts, Foundations and major donors; building regular giving; joint fundraising partnerships (e.g. commercial partnerships); and building on current relationships with peer organizations which have a particular interest in Syria.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of developing fundraising strategies, networking, and delivering to large income targets. They are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable track record of securing six figure funds from multiple sources and confident of working at a senior level externally. The ideal candidate will have an Interest in the Middle East and Action Syria’s cause.

The Role

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships. With experience of applying to corporates, trusts, and foundations to secure 6+ figure donations over multiple years, you will be comfortable developing a strong pipeline of new business to meet income targets. • You will have an entrepreneurial mindset and take ownership for identifying opportunities for new funds and contributing to the overall fundraising strategy of STEM Learning.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. The Engagement and Communications Officer will work to maximise income and support for JUSTICE through events (approximately 45% of the role), communications (approximately 30% of the role) and membership (approximately 25% of the role). They will report to the Director of Development and Head of Communications.

The JUSTICE team currently work in a hybrid manner. Staff members have access to office space in London, however, attendance is currently optional. As Viva’s Head of Impact, you will work closely with the Network Partnerships Team Leadership to lead the development of a new approach to Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, with the primary purpose of supporting partner networks to know their impact and share learning with each other. • have at least a Bachelor’s degree in impact measurement or international development with a MEAL module, or a related field

This is a part-time role for Viva, based anywhere in the world where Viva can employ you. If based in the UK, the full-time salary range is £36,000 to £40,000 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience.
