Head of Financial Planning & Analysis required for a leading specialist children's health charity on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. The Finance team is undergoing an exciting period of transformation, including the implementation of a new finance system. This is a key role where you will lead the post-implementation phase of the new system and continue delivering high-quality financial performance reporting, forecasting, and business insights.

Detailed duties include;

You'll need excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems (SAP Business One experience is a plus but not essential).

The role

As Finance Business Partner, you will play a key operational role within the finance function, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial activities, supporting programme delivery through robust financial management, and maintaining compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.

This role is hands-on and collaborative, working closely with internal teams and the Finance Officer to deliver accurate financial reporting, manage invoicing cycles, oversee treasury and insurance functions, and provide practical financial support across Foundations.

Overall Duties of the Finance Officer – Accounts Payable will include:

• Recording all changes to carer payments on the finance system, on the carer’s purchase ledger account.
• Process carer pay in line with established timescales
• Prepare fee invoices to Local Authorities and other customers
• Manage the processing of children’s savings
• Recording of purchase invoices on the system and process BACS payments to suppliers
• Lead on and review aged creditors report
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and monitor unreconciled transactions
• Assist with the monitoring of receipts, remittance and outstanding debtors.
