About this job

As the HR Officer you’ll be responsible for providing an efficient, friendly and high-quality HR and recruitment service to our amazing internal customers across the organisation.

You’ll also be undertaking general HR support and provide cover for colleagues within the HR Operations team as and when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with our managers regarding recruitment and advertising agencies
• Compiling and issuing application recruitment packs, arranging interviews
• Maintaining our database to monitor vacancies and applications (to be replaced by the new ATS)
• Updating recruitment pages on the MS Society website
• Processing new appointments (including completing all required pre-employment checks) and changes to existing employment contracts using established templates
• Responsible for keeping the HRIS updated and ensure that all employee information is added / updated accurately on a timely basis
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate paper and electronic records including ensuring that records are compliant with relevant legislation and records management policies
• Processing probation and other documentation
• Supporting with pay and benefits administration
• General admin support as required

It is a very exciting time to join the MS Society as Director of Income Generation a brand-new role in the organisation. We are implementing an ambitious cross-organisational transformation programme. And we have just started a new 2025-29 strategy. Income Generation is central to both.

We are looking for someone to provide strategic and thought leadership to income generation.  Someone who can work collaboratively across the organisation to lead and drive forward our ambition for income generation.

You will act as the leading authority on matters relating to income generation, providing advice across the organisation including to the Executive Group and Trustees.

You will enable the delivery of related transformation programmes that increase and diversify income. Head of Supported Living (Gloucestershire / Hertfordshire)

Salary: Up to £62,000 + Expenses

Location: Newnham-on-Severn / Stourbridge with travel to visit our communities in Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire.

Within this new role, the Head of Supported Living will be responsible for overseeing and developing supported living services for adults with learning disabilities within the charity.

The role ensures that services are person-centred, high-quality, and compliant with regulatory and organisational standards, while empowering individuals to live independently and achieve their goals.

Leading culture and change with experience, integrity, collaboration and transparency sits at the heart of the role. The role responsibilities will ensure that the Trust is able to support more people with a learning disability, autism and mental health problems to lead healthy, active and equal lives.

Our ambition is to become a leader in social and green care integration through the alignment of the personalisation agenda, technological enhancement and advancement and holistic health and wellbeing. To achieve this ambition, we will transform our services to ensure that they are effective, efficient and impact and outcomes focussed.

The role will be responsible for continuous, value for money, service enhancement and will deliver significant growth ensuring close and meaningful relationships with authorities, commissions and private markets resulting in increased funding and healthy waiting lists for the homes and services provided. The post will be responsible for a significant budget and will require the financial acumen to manage this effectively.

As a direct report to a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT) the role becomes a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and will be pivotal in delivering an ambitious transformation agenda and delivering the charities Brilliant Future Strategy.

What you’ll bring to the role:

·Professional Housing Qualification level 5 or above, with knowledge of housing management and housing legislation.

·Safeguarding Adults Level 5 or equivalent / Leadership in Health and Social Care level 5 or equivalent – are desirable not essential to the role

·Experience of leading housing management services within a context of delivering supported living.

·Experience and knowledge of Care Quality Commission regulations as they relate to supported living would be a distinct advantage.

·Experience of working and leading teams in not for profit and voluntary sector organisations which deliver services for adults with learning disabilities and autism.

·Experience in coaching and mentoring for success.

·Experience in significant budget management responsibilities.

·Experience in seeking new growth opportunities that are aligned to business strategy.

·Significant experience of managing change, successful service redesign and transformation, in particular lean thinking and other typical models.

·Experience of successfully leading teams to affect and embed change through powerful communications and engagement.

·Experience in the development and implementation of policy and procedure.

·Experience of leading teams over a wide geographical location combining hybrid working styles.

Location & Travel - Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire

The role will cover our communities at Stourbridge (West Midlands), Gange Village & Oaklands Park (Gloucestershire) and St Albans & Delrow, Watford (Hertfordshire). You will be based at one of the communities within the region, with regular travel between all our communities. You will be required to attend quarterly Leadership Away days and other meetings which will require overnight stays.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. 

Their vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to lead the high value function, including income from major donors, corporate partners, and trusts and grants. The P&P team also encompasses volunteering and relationships held with the family of member charities.  

There is currently an interim Head of P&P in place until August to ensure progress continues towards the income ambition, and to support the team.  

The P&P function is on a journey, much work has been done to embed effective processes and a consistent approach to pipelining. There has been much improvement so far, but there remains a lot of scope for the incoming Head to shape the team, define areas of focus and ways of working.  

The team have had significant success this year, especially in the corporate partnerships space, so there is energy and enthusiasm to harness. There are exciting opportunities for high value fundraising connected to the launch of new Centres of Excellence across the UK, and some key events in the calendar such as a major donor dinner in September.  

This role would suit an experienced fundraiser across major donor or corporate income streams. You will have led a team before, and have experience of designing and delivering fundraising strategies.  

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to come into a team that is on the right path, but needs a confident Head of to ensure the team works in the most effective way, and to provide support and guidance to the team.

We are looking to appoint a new Head of Fundraising and Communications to lead a very capable, motivated and collaborative team  and provide strategic leadership to develop an integrated approach between fundraising, communications and athletes/alumni engagement.

Over the last two years we have developed a new fundraising strategy, new partnership models and won an incredibly exciting strategic partnership opportunity that will deliver impact for 60,000 young athletes. · Over 5 years’ experience as fundraising leader in the charity sector, either a head of an income stream or as a Head of Fundraising

· A track record of setting and meeting seven figures income targets as part of a multi-faceted fundraising strategy

· Substantial experience of developing an integrated approach between fundraising, communications and beneficiary engagement.

· Specialist expertise in community fundraising and or alumni engagement

· Knowledge of marketing and communication principles and practice, digital marketing, and social media

SportsAid Head Office in London (near London Bridge) with hybrid working. We are normally all in the office on Mondays and one other day of our choice.
