Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will:

Work on the development of technical frameworks, guidelines, standards, certification or audit processes relevant for implementing regulation for children’s rights in the digital environment at international, EU and UK levels. This includes representing 5Rights in technical meetings and working groups, such as at the IEEE and CEN-CENELEC.

Work to promote and support the uptake of these standards by the tech industry, including by working with industry associations, chambers of commerce and tech companies directly.

Lead our work to gather technical evidence on company compliance with regulation for children in the UK and EU.

Identify cases of non-compliance, develop argumentation and engage with companies and regulators for remedy, with legal support as necessary.

Work to promote compliance, by supporting public accountability for non-compliance and positive visibility of best practice.

Lead our work to raise awareness and stimulate action of industry stakeholders, notably advertisers and investors.

Liaise with technologists and experts around the world, exchanging knowledge and staying up to date on the latest developments, research and emerging issues.

Remuneration and details

Purpose of Job:
The postholder plays a key role in managing the alumni network, with a specific emphasis on events and volunteer management, to actively engage alumni and stakeholders with Queen Mary’s Grammar School. The goal is to continuously enhance the value and contributions from stakeholders in alignment with Queen Mary’s Grammar School’s strategic priorities.
Ultimately, this role is designed to support the school’s strategic plan by delivering philanthropic income and other forms of financial and non-financial support from alumni and other stakeholders. This is achieved by developing and strengthening relationships with important constituents and identifying shared areas of interest and activities to enable lifelong relationships to form.
Main responsibilities:

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. Main purpose of role
To enable the delivery of 1MM’s communications strategy, across the organisation, to extend our reach and build engagement within our community: ensuring we cost effectively produce and deploy powerful content and co-ordinated messages across all our communications channels, and to a broad range of audiences, alongside the promotion and administration of our events programme.

Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £25,000 (pro rata), up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata).
