We are looking for a creative and motivated individual with a background in fundraising and experience of writing for a variety of audiences. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing critical support to our Philanthropy, Statutory and Lottery and Corporate Partnerships teams, using data and insight to drive relationship development forward.
What you'll be doing:

In this role, you'll work closely with the Senior Manager Prospect Research and Head of Relationship Development. You'll use your experience in proposition development to shape strategic direction and shape and plan core activities for delivery.

Being an effective communicator, you'll build strong relationships across RNIB, translating our strategic plans into compelling propositions about core work and exciting new opportunities for income generation.

You'll work closely with fundraising colleagues across the Strategic Relationships & Philanthropy directorate (including Major Donors, Trusts, Statutory and Lottery, and Corporate Partnerships) to develop an understanding of funder/donor needs and motivations and advise on how to best connect them with the exciting and innovative work of RNIB.  

We're a busy team, with lots to do, but team engagement is important to us, so whilst you'll have the choice of where you are based, you'll need to travel for team meetings and planning days which are often in our London Head Office.

Person Specification

You’ll be an energetic person who thrives on making new connections and can inspire others to take action. As an experienced facilitator you will be confident facilitating groups and at ease with designing and adapting formal and informal training sessions appropriate to the context.

Your experience MUST include facilitating groups who don’t already hold a common and agreed set of values. So while academic or activist settings may form a significant part of your experience, it is essential to have worked in a mixed community or neighbourhood setting, where you regularly encountered and brought together a range of contrasting viewpoints, which included views substantially different to your own.

A knowledge of community organising methodology (see for example Act Build Change or Citizen’s UK) is useful, but there may also be other approaches or experiences that you could draw on for this role. You will be curious and keen to learn about the history of community organising and community development at Pembroke House, and keen to build on and contribute to the development of that work.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DELIVERY OF MOTORSPORTS ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY (70%)

• Play a key role in the development and execution of Mission 44’s new Motorsports strategy, to create access opportunities for young people from underrepresented backgrounds within STEM sectors, particularly motorsports.

• Build trusted relationships with key motorsport employers and stakeholders, including F1, F1 teams, FIA, and relevant STEM employers, to drive sector-wide change, focusing on increasing demand for underrepresented talent, adoption of inclusive recruitment practices, and awareness of Mission 44’s work and impact.

• Apply and continually improve the convening strategy and toolkits to Mission 44’s STEM work, helping determine when and how convening can most effectively support our goal of inspiring and supporting young people (aged 14–30) in the UK and US to access careers in STEM and motorsport.

• Collaborate with the Engagement Directorate, nonprofit partners and corporates to design and deliver high-impact STEM career experiences at Formula 1 races and other key events - some of which will be international - ensuring alignment with Mission 44’s objectives and offering young people meaningful exposure to career pathways.

EXTERNAL REPRESENTATION AND ENGAGEMENT (20%)

• Represent Mission 44 at Motorsport industry events, donor meetings, clearly articulating our global mission and impact with tailored messaging for each audience.

• Support cultivation and stewardship efforts as requested by the Engagement Directorate, engaging prospective donors and prioritising meetings that deliver the greatest strategic value.

• Advocate for Mission 44 at high-profile events and stakeholder meetings, championing greater industry engagement and driving impact.

• Support our storytelling and communications efforts to highlight success and progress while spotlighting challenges to potentially shape future advocacy.

MONITORING AND LEARNING (10%)

• Support the Head of Impact, STEM Pathways and the Head of Strategy and Learning to collect key impact data.

• Contribute to evaluation processes, seek and develop opportunities to raise awareness of Mission 44’s work to create early career pathways for young people.

• Assist with annual reporting and provide input into fundraising and communications materials where relevant.

ABOUT YOU: SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in the motorsports sector and/or F1, with a strong network of connections.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to lead on the delivery of high-quality services to the women and their children living in our refuges and survivors of domestic abuse supported by our community outreach service.

We are recruiting for Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.  This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.

Our service provision in Derby includes culturally specific service for South Asian women as well as a specialist multiple disadvantage support worker who support survivors facing enhanced needs.

The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based and the outreach service staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges and the outreach service always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.

The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  

You will have knowledge of relevant criminal and civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.   

As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.

The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The job involves working closely with staff that support survivors and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse and other gender-based violence.

The role of Philanthropy Manager is to inspire and encourage philanthropic income from major individual donors to the University of York.  You will work to build engagement and involvement of potential major donors and colleagues across the University to develop and deliver a pipeline of significant philanthropic gifts to York Giving’s priority projects. 

You will manage a portfolio of major donor prospects and have responsibility and accountability for fund management and other priority projects for philanthropic funding, including liaising with academic theme coordinators.

About the role

Kinship is undertaking a major feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected. This is aligned with recommendations set out in the Kinship Care Practice Guide published by Foundations (2024) and builds on evidence from the Kinship Navigator intervention of support for kinship carers in the USA. 

This feasibility RCT is a complex, multi-partner programme involving: 

• An active funding partner 
• An independent evaluation team 
• 5 participating local authorities (to be confirmed)

• Kinship carers and lived experience subject experts

The Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager is the operational engine of the programme, ensuring that every workstream is scoped, resourced, sequenced, delivered and evidenced, and that Kinship is trial-ready, compliant, and well-coordinated through set-up and delivery.

This role needs someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organised, unflappable, curious, and able to sit comfortably in the detail. The successful person will keep a firm grip on timelines, dependencies and risks.

You will manage a Programmes Officer as well as the set-up, processes, documentation, reporting, trial readiness, communications and cross-team coordination. You will work closely with the Programmes Manager who will share responsibility for ensuring high quality performance across the feasibility trial. You will both work closely with the core project team and partners.

You will lead operational quality, systems, processes, data, and compliance. The Programmes Manager will lead practice quality, staff development and supervision, safeguarding and relational delivery. Together you make sure the trial is delivered ethically, consistently and to a very high standard. 

Key responsibilities include:

• ​Lead the mobilisation plan across all workstreams and ensure trial readiness.
• Develop all processes, documentation and operational frameworks in line with the intervention protocol.
• Coordinate local authority onboarding, staff training and internal operational setup with the Programmes Manager.
• Work with internal Kinship teams to ensure everyone has clear expectations and is held to account for their performance during mobilisation and delivery – owning the workstreams.

• Ensure weekly pipeline monitoring for treatment and control recruitment.

• Work with the Programmes Manager and Kinship Family Workers to strengthen referral and screening processes where appropriate.

• Identify recruitment risks early and drive rapid problem-solving.

• Lead operational quality assurance (QA) including data quality checks, file audits and process compliance.

Essential knowledge and experience includes:

Job Summary

As Senior IDVA you will work within a dynamic, fast-paced crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. This role combines oversight of the Duty IDVA service with specialist responsibility for MARAC coordination and participation. You will lead on MARAC responsibilities, oversee the Duty service, line manage two Duty IDVAs, support the Angelou Service Manager with administrative tasks, and hold a reduced caseload providing high-quality advocacy and support based on client-led needs and risk assessments.

You will ensure that the Duty service runs effectively, maintaining referral pathways, ensuring that documents and procedures are in place and embedded into working practice supporting those covering duty as required.

You will line manage the Duty IDVAs and will manage the allocation of cases from duty, liaising with Managers. You will assist the Manager with data collection, data analysis and problem solving.

Acting as the MARAC lead for the team you will oversee the quality of the internal MARAC process, ensuring cases are prepared and presented effectively, attend MARAC meetings on a rota basis and follow up on agreed actions.

You will also contribute to duty work, conducting calls and initial assessments and responding to crises, working within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women referred to our service.

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector and in working with women with children. The post holder will be proficient in data collection and case work recording. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.
