This role offers the potential for flexible working hours with a minimum of 2 days based in the office.
Meridian Wellbeing are looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Lead to create marketing plans and to implement its development strategies across the organisation to support the digital delivery platform and physical activities for its wellbeing services. We seek applications from candidates with a proven track record in creating marketing plans focusing on social media, content creation and brand.
The successful candidate will work closely with all service teams to promote and enhance the awareness of our services through regular marketing and communications streams such as the weekly newsletter, promotion of physical activities and workshops, the online development of our digital platforms, and manage the organisation website.
As a member of the senior team, the successful candidate will work actively to contribute to the positive development of the organisation as a mental health and wellbeing hub, seek out and develop opportunities for partnership and to grow the organisation’s presence as a leading specialist mental health and wellbeing charity.
The post is for an initial 1-year period with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
The Role
The Marketing and Communications Lead will be responsible for the development of an effective marketing strategy to encourage participation and utilisation of digital platforms in the community to improve their wellbeing. They will have responsibility to manage the content on the website, social media platforms, promotional material and communication to beneficiaries and stakeholders, with the aim of establishing the leading digital platform for community-based wellbeing services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with the ability to develop, build and drive a marketing strategy to meet the goals of the digital platform development. The post holder will have a high level of marketing and communications skills, attention to detail, able to work independently, and with the ability to build connections with diverse audiences in the commercial, public and voluntary sectors.

Working as part of a small and focused team, the Senior Communications and Activities Lead will lead on the promotion of the organisation’s brand, integrating and bringing together the collaborative work streams. The role will be integral in the continued development of a digital platform to improve access, and to raise awareness and conversion for our physical activities at our centre to achieve better outcomes for wellbeing services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Create marketing plans for social media, content and brand
· Lead on the communications and marketing activities for the organisation
· Work closely with the CEO, Head of Operations and colleagues to devise and implement a
coherent marketing strategy bringing together the different services, activities and products developed by the organisation
· Work closely with the team to encourage greater uptake of the digital platform, physical activity and workshops programmes to improve access and connection with vulnerable adults from harder to reach communities
· Establish and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships with regional and local press channels, as well as other communication agencies
· Update and support the creation of information and images on the website regularly
· Oversee marketing communications including promotional material and effective digital campaigns, and the weekly newsletter
· To coordinate all aspects of print production, design, proofing and distribution of all publications, leaflets, brochures and publicity material
· Provide administrative support for all media, social media, website and press related communications
· Provide administrative support for the activity and workshop programmes across the organisation, to promote, raise awareness and collect reporting data
· Ensuring copyright, collate images and proofing for both print and digital promotional material
· Maintain and update a library of publications, reports, stories and promotional material to archive and showcase the organisational development, and development of the digital platform
· Manage Google Analytics and social media reporting
General Duties:
· General administrative tasks as required of the work when necessary

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Experience:
· Proven experience on content creation, social media marketing and branding
· A creative marketer with a good eye for design
· Experience of developing communications materials across broadcast, print and online communications channels
· Proven record on successful individual decision making from within a marketing role
· Ideas orientated to drive an agenda within their role
· Experience of working with databases and website building
· Experience of using and establishing online content management systems and databases to effectively collate and manage internal and external intelligence

What the job involves
As Communications Planning Manager you’ll be reviewing all incoming internal communications briefs, ensuring they have clear objectives, audiences, and timelines, and are aligned to organisational priorities and goals. You’ll be responsible for leading as well as updating, when necessary, our briefing and communications team process.
You’ll be responsible for workflows across the communications directorate, having oversight of capacity, prioritising and scheduling work accordingly. You’ll support annual business and resource planning; helping the organisation prioritise and understand the potential impact vs effort in business decisions.
To ensure our teams can work at their optimum we’re currently updating our approach to communications processes, including updating our project management tools, prioritisation structure and our wider programme management office.
What we want from you
To be successful in the role you’ll need to have exceptional organisational skills and be a strategic thinker who thrives on implementing and driving new processes to deliver efficiency.
You’ll have demonstrable experience with stakeholder and relationship management – building rapport at all levels, managing conflicting priorities and ensuring effective use of resources. In reviewing briefs you’ll be comfortable in challenging the details provided and developing briefs with product owners to ensure resources are being used effectively.
A background in marketing communications or similar would be ideal for understanding the needs from the start in developing effective campaigns. Experience in using workflow tools (like Trello) or Agile methodologies will be desirable but not essential.

In this newly created role, you will lead on the design and delivery of diversity, equity and inclusion training, workshops and resources for Age UK, including its subsidiaries Age International and Age Co. This will include specific content on age inclusion, anti-racism and disability inclusion including neurodiversity.
You'll have strong knowledge and experience of best practice in talent management and development, excellent communication and facilitation skills, experience using classroom-based teaching and e-learning methods and strong analytical skills to measure impact and outcomes.

The purpose of the role
The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for delivering, renewing and evolving new and existing high-value, long-term corporate partnerships. They will work with the Senior Corporate Account Manager to support the team in delivering best-in-class account management. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will also support with new business and revenue generation through securing additional income.

Following their sons’ diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Emily Reuben and Alex Johnson founded Duchenne UK in 2012. We are an ambitious, dynamic and impactful charity.
DMD is a devastating progressive condition diagnosed in early childhood which causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken. There are currently only very limited treatment options for DMD, so Emily and Alex set up Duchenne UK to change this.
Since 2012, we have raised more than £27 million to end the devastating impact of DMD. We fund ground-breaking scientific research to find effective treatments. We’ve developed the infrastructure of DMD clinical trial delivery in the UK. We engage industry and regulators to accelerate access to treatments. And we’re here to support every family affected and ensure that they receive the best possible care. We aim not only to improve quality of live but stop the disease in its tracks. We’re doing it faster too, because this generation of patients can’t wait.

Job Description
This role plays a key part in advancing the fundraising of Duchenne UK to enable more investment into research, advancing treatments and supporting the DMD community. A core part of this will be building relationships with key supporters, including our incredible Family and Friends Funds, corporate supporters and community of fundraisers.
You will be central to the development and delivery of key events and campaigns throughout the year to achieve ambitious fundraising targets. You will have budget management responsibilities and provide insight into activities to drive improvements and further success in future years.
The role will contribute to overall fundraising growth; ensuring the guiding engagement and fundraising principles are delivered, and that all fundraising delivers an exceptional and remarkable donor experience to which Duchenne UK prides itself.
Fundraising and business development
- Community
- Key relationship manager for Duchenne UK Family and Friends Funds, engaging them through fundraising, supporting third party events and providing regular project and charity updates
- Develop and implement the Family Fund and Community Fundraising stewardship strategy
