We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will support our vision of putting the community at the centre of everything we do, and will be committed to the value of participative community engagement.  You will also have a great understanding of the needs of diverse communities and commitment to equality of opportunity.

You will have strong influencing skills, and will have the right blend and balance of people skills with excellent communication and project management abilities. You’ll be comfortable in connecting with the wider community, able to listen, gather the views of local people, and feed these back into our wider programme of work.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

Member Engagement

• Design and implement a community engagement strategy, this is to nurture positive relationships
  and information flow with different groups including Members, Tenants, Start-Ups, Community
  Groups and Community Organisations.
• In partnership with the Events Manager, activate an events programme, which creates
  opportunities for Member Organisations and other community groups and stakeholders to
  contribute to the Trust’s broader activities and development plans, taking account of member
  feedback and Trust strategy as appropriate. This will require evening and weekend working

Key Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead on the instigation, scheduling and management of the Trust’s relationship with Community
  Forums and the relevant convenors. This may involve attending meetings, organising events,
  advising on operations and governance. This will involve active listening and offering feedback
  and advice to colleagues.
• Be responsible for effective stakeholder management and mapping, to include local residents,
  local businesses and local voluntary sector groups to ensure maximum reach.
• Attend community meetings on behalf of Westway Trust to listen and engage in conversations
  about local issues and update them on the Trust’s activities. These meetings are primarily in the
  evening.

Institutional Racism Report

• Playing a key role with stakeholder groups on dissemination on the Tutu Foundation Report and
  the progress as the Trust moves towards eliminating ‘institutional racism’.
• Lead on some of the areas of development by agreement with your line manager and other
  colleagues.

Bay 20

• Support the BAY 20 community operator to ensure that BAY 20 is an inclusive and accessible
  space for the whole community and manage their service level agreement and associated budget.
• Deliver the secretarial function to the Bay20 community steering group.

Grants & Community Investments

• Support the grants and impact manager in engagement with applicants of Westway Trust’s grants
  programmes, nurturing positive relationships with successful and unsuccessful applicants.

General Duties

• Support the development of new, refurbished, and existing spaces with innovative community
  development projects and events. These may include Public Policy Round Tables; new
  programmes; community led events, consultations and meetings.
• You are a key outward facing member of the Trust, expected to demonstrate the Trusts Values
  and to work positively in accordance with the Trust’s Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding, Health,
  and Safety Policies.
• In time you may be required to line manage at least one member of staff.
• Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Experience of designing and delivering high quality, proactive and impactful community
  engagement activities, with a track record of creating innovative solutions to engage with
  people, particularly seldom heard community groups
• Clear evidence of sound judgement and of an ability to evaluate options to make appropriate
  recommendations
• Excellent IT skills, ability to gather information and report meaningful outputs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ideally with experience of writing
  Board/Committee papers with the ability to present persuasive arguments to senior
  stakeholders in a formal setting
• At least one year experience of line management.
• Experience in prioritising competing demands and workloads
• Team working and influencing skills with an eye for detail
• Understanding of the needs of diverse communities and commitment to equality of opportunity

Your Role

The Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorship Manager will develop and deliver a strategy to secure, manage, and grow income from corporate supporters and sponsors. The postholder will build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with
businesses across Leeds ensuring companies see clear value in partnering with the charity through sponsorship,  fundraising, and a unique offer of CSR volunteering days at Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm.

Key responsibilities include

Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement a corporate partnerships and sponsorship strategy aligned to the charity’s overall fundraising plan.
• Identify new corporate and sponsorship prospects, building a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
• Contribute to income forecasts, reporting against agreed targets.

Business Development

• Research, approach and secure new corporate partners and sponsors across a range of sectors.
• Create tailored sponsorship packages for events, programmes and campaigns, ensuring strong return on investment for partners.
• Negotiate partnership and sponsorship agreements that deliver value for both parties.

Relationship Management

• Account manage existing partners and sponsors, ensuring excellent stewardship and high levels of satisfaction.
• Develop creative, engaging partnership activities including staff fundraising and cause-related marketing working with the Marketing Manager, promote payroll giving, volunteering and sponsorship activation.
• Work closely with the Head of Fundraising, CEO, and Trustees to maximise opportunities within their networks.

CSR and Volunteering

• Promote and manage CSR volunteering days at Leeds Children’s Charity, based at Lineham Farm, offering businesses the chance to engage their employees in meaningful, hands-on activities that directly benefit children and the charity.
• Work with delivery teams to ensure CSR days are safe, well-organised and impactful for both participants and the charity.
• Capture and report on the social value and employee engagement benefits of CSR days to strengthen long-term partnerships.

Communications and Promotion

• Work with the Marketing & Communications team to develop compelling partnership and sponsorship materials, case studies.
• Represent the charity at networking events, business forums, and community groups.
• Act as an ambassador for the charity in all corporate engagement.

What we need from you

• Excellent relationship-building and networking skills, with credibility at senior business levels.
• Strong ability to develop and deliver persuasive pitches and proposals.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of the Leeds and Yorkshire business community.
• Experience of using CRM systems to manage pipelines and report progress.
• Proven track record in corporate fundraising, sponsorship, account management, or business development.
• A target-driven mindset with experience of meeting and exceeding income goals.
• Experience of developing and managing sponsorship packages.
• Understanding of corporate CSR/ESG priorities.
• Experience of planning or managing employee volunteering or CSR days.
• Experience in public speaking.
• Ability to travel independently across the region (with driving licence and access to a vehicle).

Qualifications

• 5 x GCSE (including English & Maths) or equivalent
• Recognised fundraising qualification (e.g., Institute of Fundraising certificate)is desirable

This role leads our corporate partnerships work to achieve income targets, grow the opportunity pipeline and develop successful corporate partnerships.

Corporate donor partnerships and income are a key part of the Foundation’s success and our future strategy. We have ambitious plans to grow grant-making through our current strategic cycle 2025-28. Fundamental to this is growing corporate income by building a strong donor pipeline at target levels. We also aim to strengthen relationships with existing corporate donors to increase retention and grow long-term giving.

As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will shape and update the corporate donor development strategy and corporate funds plan, working with the Head of Operations and Development, Marketing and Communications Manager and CEO. You will manage key corporate partnerships, engage current and potential corporate supporters, and ensure excellent stewardship throughout. A key focus is to foster a culture of new business development by mobilising whole team support.

The successful candidate will have proven experience securing five- and six-figure corporate partnerships, consistently exceeding ambitious targets. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders and produce high-quality content to attract new corporate donors and to demonstrate impact of corporate partnerships. You will need to identify and convert new opportunities while effectively managing long-term relationships. The role also requires strong organisational, analytical, creative, and budgeting skills, along with the ability to prioritise competing demands to drive income growth and maximise opportunities.

Feeding Liverpool is entering a new chapter in its mission to tackle hunger and food insecurity across the city. We are strengthening our commitment to embedding Good Food principles in every aspect of Liverpool’s food system.

We are recruiting a Policy Coordinator / Lead—a strategic and collaborative thinker who will work closely with Liverpool City Council and a wide range of partners to shape food policy and drive systemic change. This role will lead initiatives to improve food provision for children and young people, influence council policies, and secure funding to advance the goals of the Good Food Plan.

Main purposes of job:

● Document and showcase progress towards the goals of the Good Food Plan.

● Collaborate with national and local stakeholders, including public, private, and VCSE sectors, to develop and implement strategic food-related projects.

● Provide leadership on food policy within the council, aligning initiatives with broader city objectives such as sustainability, public health, and economic growth.

● Identify and pursue funding opportunities to ensure the sustainability of food systems initiatives.

● Represent Feeding Liverpool and Liverpool City Council at local and national events.

Role Overview

upReach is seeking to hire an Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with upReach’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on strategic projects, internal communication, governance, and other internal and external initiatives.

The role will provide direct support to the SLT, building their capacity and enabling the charity to continue to grow and increase its impact. They will support the collection of key data for strategic decision making and take responsibility for regular and accurate reporting to our Boards, whilst also leading on the planning and delivery of several key projects. Projects they work on will include exploring how to best expand our work in Scotland and coordinating the cohesive delivery of work that falls under the umbrella of our ‘Double Benefit’ approach.

Whilst Governance and the support provided to the SLT will remain consistent in this role, organisational initiatives will change over time, depending on where it is agreed with the SLT that the ROI is greatest and can best achieve upReach’s overarching mission.

Core Responsibilities

The Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager will report to the Director of People and Strategy and work on initiatives and projects that the SLT believe will help us to best achieve our mission. In addition to this, the Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager will also work closely with the SLT to provide governance and operational support. This will include coordinating with Trustees to organise the yearly calendar of governance events and preparing papers for Trustees, Advisory Board and Services meetings, including the Annual Report. 

This role will require influencing and collaboration in order to deliver upReach’s mission through a range of stakeholders across the team.

Core responsibilities will include: 

1) Strategic Projects & Organisational Initiatives

• Be the operational driver of organisational initiatives, as agreed on by SLT, that have an impact on the success of upReach’s mission and our impact on Associates across the country. 

  • Projects may be outward facing or operational in scope, depending on what is deemed to be of most importance at the time. They may also be at different stages in their life cycle, and as such, the role may require initial exploration phases, creation of implementation plans and the coordination of different teams to complete and assess success, as required by the specific initiative.

• Attending meetings and following up with key stakeholders to ensure the completion of relevant projects to a high standard.

• Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to gather and report key information, along with recommendations, to the SLT or other senior managers.

2) Governance & Leadership Support

• Preparing papers and required documents for Trustees, Advisory Board and Services meetings, including the yearly Annual Report. 

• This may also include supporting internal communications and calendar management for the SLT (for example, organising the yearly governance calendar). 

3) National Development & Expansion

• Be the champion for upReach’s national development strategy, ensuring there is understanding and buy-in across the team regarding the importance of upReach’s growth outside of London with respect to social mobility coldspots and existing regional presence and tracking OKRs related to this.

• Drive plans regarding how best upReach can expand its work in Scotland. Having recently successfully registered as a Scottish charity we are exploring what expansion could and should look like, and this role will work on the practicalities regarding how upReach can sustainably support more students in Scotland. Pending approval of plans from the SLT and Board, the role would lead on enacting the agreed upon approach.

  • Liaison with relevant departments to collaborate on prospect fundraising, university and employer partnerships, as well as student attraction and onboarding activities, will be required as part of this initiative. 

4) Double Benefit Approach

• Have oversight of a cohesive, deliberate programme of Double Benefit effective practice at upReach, working across teams to do so. This will include:

  • Supporting the Events team in the creation of the agenda and delivery of the annual Championing Change event in collaboration with Bank of America, bringing together employers across industries to promote inclusion and social mobility.

  • Support work on policy being led by the Marketing and Communications Team to ensure it is cohesive with our wider Double Benefit approach.

  • Coordinating with the Partnerships team regarding use of our Employer Engagement Toolkit and any bespoke consultancy or training requested. 

This role will also provide line management for 1-2 members of our Future Charity Leaders Programme one day per week, as they work on a six month ‘rotation’ in the areas described above.

Skills and Experience

To be successful, it is anticipated that you would have experience:

• Researching and the ability to create a business case based on the research results

• Creating project plans and completing end to end project work

• Working in a fast-paced environment and working independently

Previous experience working in charity governance or supporting senior leaders would be desirable, but is not essential.

About the role

You’ll be the procurement lead for the charity, responsible for providing guidance and support for procurement activities, leading on tender exercises and managing the charity’s contracts register. You’ll directly manage principle contracts for the charity and support senior budget managers to enable them to effectively manage contracts and supplier relationships.

You’ll deliver better buying behaviour across the organisation. You’ll influence and support senior budget managers to ensure value for money and reduce potential risk to the charity.

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation

The Role

The role of the team manager will be to support the rest of the team in delivering interventions on a one-to-one. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The role will also include line management and supervision of senior support workers and support workers within the service. Team managers are responsible for management of their site; including report writing, audits and being the named manager for the site and allocated borough following the borough-based approach. This role directly supports the service managers in keeping to a high standard service. The role will include implementing a smooth running of the service including facilitating debriefing and providing senior support onsite. The role of the team manager is non-clinical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Executive Support
