About the role

This is a new role which will help to deliver a pilot strategy to grow long-term sustainable income by enhancing Breast Cancer Now’s on-the-ground presence locally.

Joining the relationship fundraising team and working closely with the high value partnerships team, this role is responsible for cultivating new long-term relationships and, in turn, driving fundraising income.

Uniquely, the post holder will help to implement a large-scale trial to further grow Tickled Pink, an award-winning partnership between Asda, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! which has raised over £100m. The goal is to grow both engagement and future income by directly supporting colleagues across Asda stores in their local area.

In addition, this role will establish and grow a portfolio of supporters in Bristol and the southwest by cultivating relationships with new and warm supporters including individuals, clubs, societies and local companies. It will also line manage a community fundraiser covering a patch in London and the southeast.

What’s special about this role is that you’ll be working alongside a supportive, innovative and fun team which has delivered continued growth in fundraising over the last five years.

The is the first time the charity has had a community fundraiser locally based in the southwest. It is one of five new roles being introduced as part of the pilot, and the goal is that they all become permanent. 

About you

You’re a pro at cultivating long term relationships with a variety of new supporters to generate income, and have great community fundraising experience working with individuals, local companies and clubs and societies.

You’re proactive and can work in a flexible and agile way; perhaps you’ve helped to deliver successful pilots in the past. You’re solution focused and experienced in developing and delivering ideas to grow income and engagement in the short and long term.

With great communication skills, you’re a team player and love working independently as well as part of a large team with various stakeholders.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in Bristol or the surrounding area. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as to our offices in London and Cardiff.

Palliative care for children aged 0–18 is delivered at Acorns’ hospices in Birmingham (serving Birmingham and Warwickshire), Worcester (serving Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire), and Walsall (serving the Black Country and parts of Staffordshire and Shropshire), as well as in family homes and other community settings. From charity walks and running events to sponsored skydives and overseas challenges for the more adventurous, Acorns offer many unique experiences throughout the West Midlands and further afield to raise funds for their vital work.

This is a critical interim role combining operational delivery with a strategic review of their events fundraising programme. You will lead both delivery and transformation across owned and third-party events, ensuring income, return on investment and supporter experience are maximised.

As Interim Senior Events Fundraising Manager, you will:

• Lead a team of two Event Managers and two Event Officers, managing £400k income and £164k expenditure
• Oversee delivery of the Glow Walk, a flagship in-memory event with significant untapped potential
• Review the third-party challenge events portfolio (e.g. Great Wall, Sahara) and assess current formats such as Bubble Rush to decide where to invest, optimise or withdraw
• Work with the Associate Director of Fundraising to identify opportunities for growth, particularly in challenge events
• Manage relationships with agencies and suppliers
• Oversee use of their events platform (Enthuse) and CRM integration, recommending changes or alternatives if needed
• Provide monthly reporting to the Executive Leadership Team on income, KPIs and supporter engagement

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experience leading teams delivering third-party, in-aid-of, challenge and owned events
• Line management experience, including managing managers
• A track record of reviewing and improving event portfolios for income, ROI and supporter journeys
• Experience working with agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality events

Role Overview 

The Athlete Learning and Development Manager will design and coordinate a comprehensive learning and development programme for emerging athletes, their parents and caregivers, and alumni. This will be delivered both in person and online. 

This is an exciting time for SportsAid as we expand the support we offer beyond financial assistance, building on the foundations already in place. As part of our evolving approach, we are strengthening the educational resources available to them, ensuring they have access to the guidance and tools they need to thrive both on and off the field. 

The role focuses on identifying athlete-led needs, curating training and workshop programmes, and working with external trainers and providers to deliver impactful sessions that best support SportsAid’s beneficiaries. 

A key aspect of the role is developing educational and training content for the new online community engagement platform we are developing. You will ensure content aligns with SportsAid’s objectives while meeting the priorities of partners funding dedicated hubs within the platform, which will provide training and development content in specific focus areas. You will also help adapt training sessions into engaging, shareable online resources to maximise participation and impact. 

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in planning workshop programmes for key events such as SportsAid Live, ensuring sessions are engaging, relevant, and tailored to the needs of attendees.

Key Responsibilities 

Programme Development 

• Develop and coordinate a holistic learning and development programme for athletes, parents, and caregivers, addressing key areas such as financial literacy, mental wellbeing, career readiness, and communication skills. 

• Identify athlete-led needs and curate relevant educational training programmes, ensuring they align with the challenges faced by young athletes. 

• Build and maintain relationships with external trainers and subject matter experts, ensuring content meets SportsAid’s high standards and is tailored to beneficiary needs. 

• Work with trainers and providers to shape session content, ensuring clarity, relevance, and engagement for athletes and their support networks. 

• Develop structured training strands with corporate partners that align with partnership agreements and engagement objectives. 

• Devise workshop programmes for events such as SportsAid Live, ensuring sessions are interactive, impactful, and meet the needs of attendees. 

• Oversee the development of digital training content to enhance learning and engagement for our online community. 

Training Coordination and Resource Development 

• Coordinate the delivery of training programmes by external trainers through in-person workshops and online webinars. 

• Develop bite-sized digital resources from training materials to be used on our new online community engagement platform, ensuring accessibility and engagement. 

• Ensure that training content aligns with corporate partnership agreements, such as the RBC initiative, and meets funder expectations for educational outcomes. 

• Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, facilitator briefings, and content alignment with SportsAid’s objectives. 

• Ensure training materials and sessions are inclusive and tailored to diverse audiences. 

Engagement and Feedback 

• Engage with athletes, parents, and caregivers to gather feedback on training sessions and resources, ensuring the programme evolves to meet their needs. 

• Monitor platform usage and session participation, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. 

• Foster an inclusive and collaborative learning environment that encourages peer-to-peer engagement and shared experiences. 

Evaluation and Reporting 

• Evaluate the impact of the training programme on athletes’ personal and professional development, using data to inform future improvements. 

• Provide regular reports to senior leadership and funders, demonstrating the programme’s outcomes and alignment with organisational goals. 

• Stay informed about trends in athlete education, learning delivery, and digital engagement to ensure SportsAid’s approach remains innovative and impactful. 

Person Specification 

Essential Skills and Experience

Hours of work: Part-time position, approx. 28 working hours a week (4 days per week), some evening and weekend work may be required from time to time, reasonable flexible work options are available.

Working closely with the CEO, alongside managing a portfolio of donors and prospects ensuring excellent stewardship, you will support our Breakthrough-ME Group (a group of high net worth and highly networked individuals). There is an established level of support from major donors at Action for ME so this is a role that will require exceptional relationship management to retain our current valued supporters while growing this crucial area of fundraising.

Key duties

Major Donor Fundraising

• Successfully develop and implement the philanthropy strategy to secure and maximise funds from high value individuals for Action for ME achieving annual income of £250k+

• Set plans and budgets which will deliver income through major gift fundraising and philanthropic giving through family trusts and foundations, including quarterly forecasting.

• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors at the £5k to £100k level, to develop and maintain strong and long-standing partnerships

• Work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Development and other colleagues to ensure that plans and activities for fundraising from high value individuals are integrated into the overall fundraising strategy and plan for significant growth.

• Be responsible for our Breakthrough-ME Group with high quality proposition development.  Contribution to Group fundraising activities with a specific focus on ensuring their networks support pipeline growth for future fundraising.

• Lead the delivery of our biennial fundraising gala dinner, maximising income and new opportunities from attendees.

• Develop engaging and inspiring opportunities to steward and cultivate support creating a calendar of activities including events, presentations, approaches, networking and meetings.

• Utilise the CRM database (Raisers Edge) to provide the data required to strategise your approach to philanthropy, monitor progress and provide a high-quality donor experience.

• Ensure utilisation of insight & data, producing management information data to inform planning and strategy development.

• With the Director of Fundraising & Development, create inspiring cases for support and resulting propositions with clear budgets and outcomes.

• Create adequate systems and processes to support the major donor programme.

• Undertake and manage research into prospects and major donors, preparing for approaches and presentations and briefing senior leadership and trustees for donor meetings and events.

This is a key role within the small, dynamic Foundation team: it plays a core part in delivering the grants programme that lies at the heart of the purpose of the Garfield Weston Foundation.  The role spans all parts of the grants function, including advising applicants, assessing and evaluating applications, and preparing reports for decisions on funding. Service delivery

• Lead the day-to-day management of Ella’s safe houses, and outreach services

• Ensure all caseworkers provide high-quality, holistic support tailored to each woman’s needs

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to lead on the delivery of high-quality services to the women and their children living in our refuges and survivors of domestic abuse supported by our community outreach service.

We are recruiting for Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.  This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.

Our service provision in Derby includes culturally specific service for South Asian women as well as a specialist multiple disadvantage support worker who support survivors facing enhanced needs.

The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based and the outreach service staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges and the outreach service always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.

The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  

You will have knowledge of relevant criminal and civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.   

As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.

The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The job involves working closely with staff that support survivors and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse and other gender-based violence.

The Role

Working as part of a small but ambitious team, you will support fundraising and donor research for Right to Succeed, a fast-growing national charity delivering place-based and educational change in disadvantaged communities.

This role will see you:

• Undertake in-depth prospect donor research, using tools such as Funds Online, GrantNav 360 Giving, and CRM systems.
• Produce research briefings and present findings to support fundraising strategy.
• Provide high-quality administrative support, including meeting coordination, thank you letters, and CRM updates.
• Support the delivery of fundraising events and donor visits.

Award-winning music education charity, the London Music Fund, is seeking a Fundraising & Data Manager from October 2025 to join our small team of 3. The role is varied and interesting, with a fundraising and donor reporting focus – the post-holder will support the CEO with all fundraising for the charity, including writing Trust and Foundation applications, research on new prospects, and managing donor reporting. In addition, we hold 2-3 major fundraising events each year, and this role would support the CEO in all aspects of event management.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

The charity currently raises c. £750k annually from a variety of sources including individuals, trusts and foundations, corporates and events. The key aspects of this role are:

Trusts and Foundations

• Research and draft Trust and Foundation applications, updating the prospects and pending report, managing pipelines.
• Manage the reporting schedule (with the Programmes Manager).
• Collate data for reports and maintain positive relationships with funders.

Individual Donor Relations:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records on Salesforce and SharePoint.
• Respond to donor enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage donor communications, including thank you letters and updates.
• Assist with donor stewardship activities to build relationships and encourage continued support.
• Manage the Scholarship Sponsor reporting schedule (with the Programmes Manager).

Data Management and Impact Reporting

Key responsibilities:

Funding

· Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end funding process from development of applications to decisions and monitoring of funded programmes.
