The purpose of this job is to ensure people in the UK are hearing about the global realities of poverty, emergencies, gender inequality and climate change, as well as about the ways that CARE and our community of supporters are urgently working to address these.
You will lead, develop, and implement CARE International UK’s media strategy and secure regular, timely and high-quality media coverage in UK-based national and regional print, broadcast, and digital media.
You will be on top of the news agenda in the UK, ready to respond quickly and strategically to match our expert UK and locally based spokespeople from across the world to the media opportunities that arise. In addition, you will work closely with advocacy and programming teams to develop and drive coherent influencing strategies developing and improving CARE’s thought leadership positions.

About you
We’re looking for a highly talented Media or senior communications professional who can take our media relations to the next level and develop lasting relationships with journalists to tell the best possible story about CARE’s global impact with UK and international audiences.
You’ll bring high levels of creativity and energy to opportunity spotting, securing opinion pieces, expert comment as well as develop fresh strategies and media angles for annual campaigns and fundraising moments.
The successful candidate will prove they have a track record of building successful working relationships with national and international journalists, be experienced in digital communications to ensure we have the greatest reach and impact, and be able to provide detailed media evaluations, insights and learning reports that guide future media engagement. You will have excellent written communication skills with the ability to present complex issues in a persuasive, accessible style to a range of different audiences. About the role
The Senior Event Manager is a pivotal new position within the Advancement team. You will play a leading role in planning, executing, and overseeing events and experiences which will not only build momentum towards and launch UCL's next fundraising campaign in 2026, but will also maintain stakeholder engagement with the campaign during its duration.
Globally, you will build and deliver a programme of insider and teaser experiences, launch events, tours, reunions, and gatherings around campaign themes. This will involve travel to regions where UCL builds important philanthropic relationships, including countries in East Asia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East, approximately 2-4 times per year.

The Meridian One Community Garden serves as a space where we focus on cultivating fruit, salad, and vegetable produce. We involve the local community by hosting weekly volunteer gardening sessions, welcoming school visits, and organising various community events.
TCV is seeking a Senior Project Officer with expertise in community engagement, event coordination, and managing community facilities. The garden, which was established one year ago, encompasses facilities such as an office, a community meeting/education room, toilets, and a spacious polytunnel.
The Senior Project Officer will oversee a range of tasks including planning and executing community events, maintaining site Health & Safety, leading volunteers in practical projects like building wooden planters, tending to garden plants, and ensuring timely completion of administrative duties such as procurement, risk assessments, social media updates, and task reporting. They will also lead activities for the under 5’s Nature Explorers group, school visits, themed evening events, and family weekends. Additionally, they'll organise corporate volunteering sessions and cover holiday shifts for the Green Gym gardening program. Previous events have included 'Pampering and Enrichment,' 'Repurpose, Recycle, Reinvent' workshops, and a Black Women in Conservation and Horticulture photo exhibition, as well as our weekend family events featuring free food, music, and arts and crafts activities.
This role involves being friendly and open to various people who visit, from the toddlers attending the Nature Explorers club, to our volunteer gardeners, to senior staff from the local authority. There are two other people working part-time at the garden, and TCV provides thorough training and support from a helpful local team.
Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience of gardening and/or nature conservation. However, what’s equally important is that the Senior Project Officer has initiative, is welcoming, and comfortable working with a wide range people. In Spring 2024, TCV will be taking on the management of an additional nearby meanwhile space. The new Senior Project Officer will join us at an exciting time when we begin to turn that space into a new community tree nursery. Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Given the nature of the role the Senior Project Officer will need to work from the garden during these times. Weekend family events take place on Saturdays, four times a year and there are approximately six evening events which take place between April to September. E3G funding comes from a wide variety of funders around the world. We are looking for a CCAB qualified finance person with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a charity or not-for-profit programme finance context. The role will work with the Chief Financial Officer and Programme Leads to manage our financial relationships with these funders and the end-to-end finance activities across our funders and programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing monthly internal project reporting to project leads.

Experience and Skills

- Solid organisational skills and good attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Hybrid Working but ideally at least 2 days per week in the London office.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The Training Ground Programme
Training Ground uses the power of the club badge to engage with young people whom universal support cannot reach. Working with targeted participants, aged 16-24, who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET), the programme provides, one-to-one mentoring, wraparound support, and access to physical activity sessions and mental health, employability, and life skills workshops.
The programme will target those furthest from the labour market and with additional support needs, for example, looked after or care experienced, young carers, homeless or at risk of homelessness, those with experience of substance abuse, previous involvement with criminal activity, and/or those with a SEND.
The Role
The Programme Manager will be responsible for the ‘Training Ground’ programme, overseeing all aspects of the project, and ensuring milestones and output targets are met.
The Programme Manager will build a network of referral contacts and partners, ensuring sufficient and appropriate referrals are made to the programme. You will manage the participant pipeline and oversee all stages of the participant journey, ensuring impactful mentoring is delivered and that robust tracking is in place. You will provide guidance and leadership to a team of mentors and ensure best practice.
The successful candidate will have a sophisticated understanding of the challenges and barriers facing young Londoners, who are identified as the furthest from employment, and have an awareness of how to support them to progress into employment.
You will oversee the delivery of an employability programme and coordinate all aspects of the programme.
The programme manager will provide 1:1 mentoring to a caseload of participants, giving support to participants to develop essential skills for employment, whilst providing practical support, interview coaching, career information, and guidance.

Age UK is currently looking for a Senior Public Affairs Officer to take forward our Public Affairs work, influencing and changing public policy, to improve the lives of older people.
You will design and deliver public affairs strategies which grow Age UK's profile in Westminster and Whitehall and build support for our policy and campaigning priorities. Highly attuned to the political environment, you will identify key political targets, building new and deepening existing relationships.
You will line manage the Public Affairs Officer and oversee public affairs work done by the team's Support Officer.

Additional Information
Must be able to travel easily into central London to attend meetings, sometimes at short notice. Required to be in the London office at least one day a week.
There is an occasional requirement to travel and stay overnight (e.g. party conferences); some out of hours working (e.g. occasional evening Parliamentary events).

The Partnership Manager role will report to the CEO and sit within the Business Development Team.

Essential Experience
