We are recruiting for Senior Paediatric Palliative Care Nurse (Band 6) to help lead and be part of our Care Team at our peaceful, woodland hospice.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work in partnership with hospitals and community nursing teams to deliver care to a range of children and young people with a variety of complex health conditions. As well as providing clinical care, you will also develop play and recreational activities to provide appropriate stimulation to the children in your care. We will support you in your learning and development and there is the potential to gain experience in outreach work.

As a Senior Nurse you will be a team leader to a small group of nurses and HCAs (Play and Care Workers), taking responsibility for line management. You will lead your team in acting as key workers to a small caseload of service users and act in a link role allocated to the team, for example Infection Control or Clinical Audits. You will be managing shifts, providing leadership to the team to ensure that all care is delivered in accordance with Richard House policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone who is empathetic and resilient, can work under pressure, and can communicate sensitively with our families and colleagues. Experience managing junior nurses and leading shifts is essential. It would also be great if you have a mentorship qualification and experience dealing with children with challenging behaviour. 

Based in the multi-cultural borough of Newham, we operate a vital 24/7 service. Shifts are 11.5 hours across weekdays and weekends. We require applicants to be available to work weekday shifts as well as weeknights, weekends and bank holidays.

The Willow Major Events Team hosts a range of events to engage Willow’s key supporters. These range in large-scale events such as the Willow Ball and London Football Awards, to smaller more intimate events such as Golf and Shoot Days.

Job purpose

• This role will support the delivery of Willow’s programme of Major Events, as well as supporting third party events, ensuring that these promote and present Willow in a professional and compelling manner, maximising opportunities for donor cultivation, fundraising and maximising income generation.

Core Events

• To support the events strategy through delivery of high-quality events, designed to attract current and new supporters.

Role Purpose

This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Royal Hospital Chelsea as Assistant Director of Audience Engagement on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.  A core focus of the role is to develop the Royal Hospital Chelsea into a national heritage destination while ensuring our community of veterans remains at the heart of everything we do.

During this fixed term contract, you will be responsible for delivering our public engagement strategy, and drive visits to, and engagement with, the Royal Hospital Chelsea’s heritage, supporting sustained and manageable footfall and increased income through public programmes, secondary spend and commercial visitor opportunities.  

You will oversee the successful delivery and operation of the new Visitor Centre within the recently restored Soane Stable Yard, ensuring the visitor experience both onsite and digital is inspiring, inclusive, and impactful. You will also lead our contribution to the Chelsea Heritage Quarter, including co-delivering the annual Chelsea History Festival, working alongside key partners: the National Army Museum and Chelsea Physic Garden.

You are also responsible for managing RHC’s relationship with a café concession. We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to vulnerable guests who access the Community Wellbeing Service, a local support hub offering relief from the rising cost of living for local families. The General Advice Officer will support our guests on a range of areas including benefits, immigration, housing, money management and access to training and employment services. The postholder will provide high quality welfare advice and guidance through weekly one-to-one advice sessions, undertake case work, work with partners to facilitate referrals, and provide support to advice volunteers. 

The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience delivering effective advice or in a similar capacity, demonstrate empathy, an understanding of the issues facing vulnerable people, and have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing policies/legislations, with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our guests.

Advice Work

• Carry out assessments to identify urgent needs and appropriate support pathways for members at the Community Wellbeing Service.
• Support outreach or community engagement activities as needed.
• Provide holistic and person-centred advice and casework on the main enquiry areas, particularly welfare benefits, housing, employment, health and wellbeing, immigration and money management.
• Maintain Sufra’s Advice Quality Standards and meeting tangible outcomes.
