We seek a Development and Grants Senior Officer to support our funding applications and grant reporting for Blue Ventures’ Indonesia programmes. About the role
The Senior Event Manager is a pivotal new position within the Advancement team. You will play a leading role in planning, executing, and overseeing events and experiences which will not only build momentum towards and launch UCL's next fundraising campaign in 2026, but will also maintain stakeholder engagement with the campaign during its duration.
Globally, you will build and deliver a programme of insider and teaser experiences, launch events, tours, reunions, and gatherings around campaign themes. New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. We are looking for a CCAB qualified finance person with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a charity or not-for-profit programme finance context. The role will work with the Chief Financial Officer and Programme Leads to manage our financial relationships with these funders and the end-to-end finance activities across our funders and programmes.

Working within the IT Department, the Senior Support Analyst is the primary resource responsible for advanced 3rd line support of our systems, infrastructure, and networks. This covers both troubleshooting complex issues as they arise, as well as handling system implementations, maintenance, and configuration changes. - Resolve all reported IT issues in a professional and timely manner, documenting all activity on the service desk ticketing system, conforming to SLAs, and adjusting priorities to deal with urgent issues and requests.
- Where appropriate, escalate issues to external vendors as required and monitor the escalation to ensure satisfactory resolution. Escalations to external vendors are rare and it is expected that almost all cases would be resolved inhouse.
- Monitor and manage ticket queues, alerts, automated tickets, and perform daily checks on various systems as required.
- Research, project manage, and implement new solutions, security features, adaptations, and upgrades to IT services, working closely with colleagues to advise on changes for all future developments. Ensure that technical solutions are clearly defined and documented for the requirements of the intended client base.
- Hand over projects in a timely manner, with all operating and maintenance documentation in place.
- Undertake the training of others as required and document any processes or systems that are out of date or currently do not have documentation.
- Participate in the procurement of IT services, hardware, and software, providing specifications and contributing to tender documentation.
- Familiarise yourself with existing systems, processes, and policies, and look to improve these wherever possible. Create and update IT and related documentation to allow retention and sharing of knowledge within the team and the Trust.
- Participate as a team player in the support of colleagues within the department and across the Trust’s operations.

Experience:

Main Responsibilities
Across 12 months you will be working to embed our innovation strategy; driving forward new product development, showcasing a fresh approach to innovation, and supporting colleagues to embrace innovation. You will be responsible for consulting with Fundraising Teams to identify new opportunities to generate income and provide supporters with an amazing experience. You will lead on bringing new ideas to life by managing the end-to-end innovation process. From undertaking research to uncover insight into target audiences, to running workshop with colleagues to turn insight into amazing propositions. From delivering tests to evaluate new propositions, to working closely with delivery teams to launch new innovations into the market to drive income growth.
Ideal Candidate
Working with Teams from across Fundraising, you'll need to be experienced at engaging and influencing colleagues at all levels. You will be naturally curious, motivated to get under the skin of the charity sector and really understand what makes our supporters tick. While experience working in a dedicated innovation role isn't necessary, experience using tools to uncover insight, facilitate workshops, generate ideas, test propositions, and deliver compelling business cases is essential. Running end-to-end innovation sprints, you will be organised, proactive and confident at managing stakeholders. You'll be able to balance conflicting workstreams to deliver amazing new propositions at pace.

The role
This exciting role within NLOS’s senior management team was created to help bring greater strategic alignment across NLOS and its charities and to better capitalise on new and existing opportunities. The post is critical to ensuring that we maximise the resources available to us through increased income generation and by forging strategic partnerships across multiple sectors and fields that allow us to increase and leverage support for each charity and provide a world class customer experience, while protecting and preserving green spaces of international significance. All activities will be undertaken with a priority to conserve the natural spaces we oversee, and to ensure that income generated at each site is reinvested back into the charity/site where it was raised.
As a member of NLOS’s senior management team, the postholder will be responsible for overseeing a diverse and complementary portfolio, including income generation, strategic partnerships, marketing and communications, event and license management, volunteer and engagement programmes, and strategic partnerships. They will lead a newly created team with diverse and complementary roles, fill remaining team vacancies, and create a cohesive approach and narrative. As a member of NLOS’s senior management team, they will work closely with colleagues and the Superintendent to create and implement new opportunities to further improve these four iconic green spaces.

New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service.
