This is a newly developed Careers Advisor role is funded by the North East Combined Authority and forms a core part of our strategy to improve employment outcomes for women from Black and racially minoritised communities who are not currently in work or education. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified Careers Advisor to rebuild and lead an impactful careers service within the Angelou Centre.

Many of the women we support have English as an additional language and face multiple barriers to employment. They are survivors who are on a journey to rebuilding their independence and therefore may require additional training support with household budgeting, life skills or understanding the public transport system amongst other things. Your work will directly support women to take confident, supported steps into training, volunteering and work often for the first time in the UK.

This role combines direct client work with strategic development with support from the Senior Administrator. You’ll be responsible for managing individual development plans and setting SMART goals with our service users, building local opportunity networks, and helping to develop a robust data recording system to demonstrate outcomes and impact.

 Key Responsibilities

 Careers Support and Development Plans

• Deliver one-to-one and small group CIAG (Careers Information, Advice and Guidance) to support women into meaningful employment, volunteering or further learning.
• Develop and maintain individual development plans of up to 40 women at any given time, creating personalised career and life action plans and reviewing progress regularly.
• Motivate and empower women to engage with activities that build their confidence and increase employability

Local Knowledge and Opportunity Development

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment, training, and volunteering opportunities across the North East.
• Develop relationships with local employers, training providers, and community organisations to create inclusive routes to work.
• Signpost clients to external agencies for additional support, such as skills-building or mental health support, where appropriate.

System Development and Data Collection

• Co-develop and maintain a robust case management and data tracking system to record outcomes, identify patterns, and highlight barriers.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with funding, GDPR and organisational requirements.
• Support the department in building evidence to demonstrate long-term impact.

Evaluation, Research and Sustainability

• Support internal reporting by providing accurate caseload updates, anonymised case studies, and emerging needs analysis.
• Contribute to grant applications, evaluations, and stakeholder updates with data and qualitative insights.
• Work with the Senior Administrator to identify trends and inform future departmental strategy.

Person Specification

Experience & Skills

• Experience providing career advice to adults, ideally those facing multiple and complex barriers.
• Proven ability to motivate and support individuals who may be disengaged, vulnerable or lacking in confidence
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to track casework and input data.
• Experience of providing 1-2-1 or group support
• Experience using action planning tools and setting achievable, client-led goals.
• Experience working collaboratively with other originations to provide wraparound support.
• Strong influencing skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders

Knowledge & Qualifications

• Level 4–6 qualification in Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG).
• Strong understanding of employability challenges faced by Black and racially minoritised women, including language barriers, discrimination, and immigration restrictions.
• Excellent working knowledge of formal training, vocational training, and volunteering opportunities in the North East.
• Knowledge of developing and delivering Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning tools and mechanisms to support grant writing

Your main role is to be a senior member of the PIRC team, holding responsibility for overseeing PIRC’s strategic direction and vision, programme delivery, representing the organisation at internal and external events, and working with the Head of Operations to ensure the financial health of the organisation.

Location: Hybrid - based at PIRC offices in Machynlleth, as well as your home address, with travel when necessary.

Salary: £42-45,000 (£33-36,000 pro rata). This is the base rate for our socially-just pay policy, which can provide additional salary based on personal need.

Hours: 32 hours over 4 days, usually between Monday to Thursday, with 1:1  toil system (hours or days earned for working beyond your set hours)

The Role:

Strategic Leadership

• With the Head of Operations, co-lead, as part of a collaborative process with the full staff team, the development and review of the operational strategy and budget
• Plan and facilitate Programme Team Meetings
• Oversee and input into funding applications and reports, including ensuring programme team documents are kept up to date for fundraising 
• Working with the fundraiser to identify funding opportunities and attend key funder meetings

Purpose
This vital Data Officer role will support the Data Team in maintaining and developing the supporter relationship database (Salesforce NPSP), providing high quality support to CBM UK staff. You will be part of a dynamic & highly skilled Fundraising and Communications team, dedicated to inspiring people in the UK to help transform lives in some of the world’s poorest places.
Key Responsibilities
The Data Officer supports the Data Team to effectively use and maintain the fundraising database across the organisation to increase fundraising, communications and engagement potential.
1.Salesforce Maintenance and Support
a)Support with maintenance and administration of the supporter relationship database(Salesforce NPSP) and suite of Salesforce apps.
b)Provide first line support to members of staff responding to queries and issues.Escalate more complex issues to Senior Data and Insight Officer and Data and InsightManager as appropriate.

This is an exciting time to join us on our mission as we implement our new international engagement strategy. As our International Engagement Officer you will elevate our influence on the global stage. This is a new and important role for our charity. You will work with our senior team to drive international engagement with policymakers, parliamentarians, international organisations, and strategic partners. Your work will help us to position babies – and the first 1001 days – at the heart of global policy agendas.

You will be responsible for engaging and coordinating the relationships between our senior team and leaders around the world. The Learning and Skills Development Co-Ordinator will lead on developing a program of training, learning, volunteering and work experience for the residents of Homeless Oxfordshire that increase self esteem, engagement and motivation. You will work collaboratively and creatively across the organisation, as well as with partners, stake-holders, and the wider community. Improving community relations and help us secure support from local training providers and employers where resident participation in the wider community will help break down stigmas surrounding homelessness and addiction.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Devise and deliver a structured programme of training and education (both formal and informal) to improve our residents' skills and confidence which prepares them for the next stage of their lives.
• As part of the LEAP team work closely with the Activities Co-Ordinator to deliver a comprehensive programme of engagement, developing skills to move away from homelessness.
• Work with partners and residents to design training that is tailored to the needs of our residents.
• Develop and maintain external relationships with local training providers, organisations and employers to find various opportunities and maintain those relationships.
• Support on design of the peer mentoring training and traineeship programmes.

About LEAP

LEAP is built on the foundation of strong, supportive relationships that empower residents to move towards stable, independent living. Through one-to-one key worker support, trauma-informed care, and community engagement, residents rebuild trust, form friendships, and gain confidence. Activities like gardening, arts and crafts, and creative writing foster connection and personal growth, while group involvement helps residents feel part of a wider community. LEAP also supports residents to take steps into peer mentoring, volunteering, and training, helping them build positive networks beyond their immediate circle and develop the skills and confidence to thrive independently.

At LEAP, community involvement is at the heart of their work. Empowering residents through co-production is a key organisational goal. LEAP offer a range of inclusive engagement methods—from informal gatherings like group breakfasts and creative activities, to structured sessions such as support needs mapping and Residents’ Forums. These forums provide regular opportunities for feedback and co-design, with input reaching senior management and trustees. They are enhancing resident engagement by developing a mutual support network for staff with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction. This group will shape services and policies, and guide resident outreach. LEAP also collaborates with local partners like RAW, a social enterprise offering training and employment to those with lived experience, and strengthens ties with adult education providers such as Abingdon and Witney College. We also create pathways to volunteer with cultural institutions like the University of Oxford Museums.

LEAP empowers people with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to move towards independent living and employment. Over three years, the project aims to support 750 individuals. Through a wide range of engaging and meaningful activities, residents will experience positive outcomes such as increased confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of inclusion. They will build supportive networks, learn key life skills and access training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. Many will gain qualifications and secure long-term accommodation. The project strengthens peer support and enables residents to shape services through formalised Residents’ Forums, ensuring their voices influence senior decision-making. For Homeless Oxfordshire, LEAP enhances our capacity to deliver peer-led support, builds staff knowledge, and informs service improvement. Wider community benefits include reduced stigma around homelessness, stronger partnerships with employers and organisations, and improved understanding of the issues faced by our residents—ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and compassionate society.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will provide line management support, guidance and coaching to two administrators, ensuring their responsibilities are clear and that they are supported to carry out their roles, plus provide positive and proactive peer support to Admin and Coaches to ensure that data is collected reliably and consistently.  You will also manage the allocation and appropriateness of all referrals coming into the Eastern region CRS service and ensure all referrals are accurately recorded, plus coordinate the data collection across the Eastern Region Criminal Justice contracts.

We will also rely on you to monitor the service and support with the development, implementation, and the maintenance of effective data collection systems, as well as offering training where necessary to ensure the team can perform data collection effectively.  Interpreting and explaining complex data to the admin and delivery team for purposes of clarity/verification is also an important duty, as is supporting with the development and maintenance of processes around referrals, data collation and the production of reports.

The Job

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, the Supporter Care Officer role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team. USPG is looking for someone with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm to join our small but growing fundraising team.  The post holder will be the first port of call for all incoming communications and will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to ensure that our supporters feel valued. The role is also responsible for maintaining the data and developing supporter care processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, data handling and administration. They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible, can-do attitude. This is an opportunity to lead an award winning communications team – Third Sector Communications Team of the Year in 2024 – that’s tasked with changing how we think about hospice, end of life and palliative care in the UK.

As the charity representing the UK’s 200+ hospices, we have secured ourselves a significant national platform in the past year or two, with regular, top-tier national media, and online campaigns which have forced the government to act. 

With assisted dying legislation progressing across the UK, now is a critically important moment for the public – and for politicians – to better understand what hospice care is all about, and the challenges we face.

As part of our mission to promote and protect hospice care for all, it is critical that our communications team keeps it high on the agenda. We’ve built huge momentum – whether with regular national TV news coverage, a rapidly growing online supporter base, or though our recently overhauled brand. But we need a savvy, politically switched-on Head of Communications and Campaigns to keep that going, and to make it pay off.

Hospices are amongst our most loved community charities, and our job as the national charity for hospice care is to rally the public – as well as major donors like companies and trusts – to support these brilliant organisations.

You’ll need a strong eye for a story, and an integrated understanding of the full spectrum of communications, campaigns and marketing. You’ll likely be a specialist in one area – which is fine – but we want someone who can join the dots, spot the opportunities, and inspire a team of specialists.

Hospices are under huge pressure. Funding is tight, and demand is surging. This is your chance, in the coming years, to play a leading role in fighting for hospices to get the support they need – from government, from the media, and from the public.

To ensure we can continue our important work, our Fundraising team are incredibly important. Since the pandemic, fundraising at Marie Curie has been through a lot of change. However, the organisation recognises the importance of our activity within communities across the UK and community fundraising has been invested in.

What you will be doing

• Be the primary contact for supporters, patients, and families and offer excellent service to supporters through various communication channels. 
• Develop strong internal relationships to enhance fundraising efforts and support Marie Curie activities. Help identify and engage new supporters.
• Record, bank, and process supporter income in line with Marie Curie policies. Maintain accurate financial and supporter records.
• Provide stewardship for Fundraising My Way participants, local fundraising groups, volunteers, and third-party eventers.
• Manage collection site bookings and permits, contact volunteers, dispatch materials, and ensure proper follow-up and record-keeping for collections.

Employer Policy Specialist

Working Hours: 0.6FTE (full-time equivalent 37.5 hours). There is a degree of flexibility surrounding the working hours which will be determined by the demands of the role.

Overview

The DfE has nominated CST as the employer representative for academy trusts for specific purposes (for example, the school support staff negotiating body).  The postholder will be required to work directly with the Department for Education at a senior level to undertake the duties associated with this employer representative role.  CST also wishes to strengthen its support to members on wider matters of employer policy. There is significant scope to shape and develop this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Have a detailed understanding of the terms and conditions of employment of teaching and support staff and the workforce issues affecting the education sector, particularly those influencing recruitment and retention of staff.

• The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders (members, senior DfE officials and ministers) and work closely with other employer representative organisations.

• Working closely with the CEO and Deputy CEO, build relationships at senior level with trade unions (leadership, teacher and support staff unions).

• Lead on developing CST’s employer policy and guidance, working with our members and commanding their support and respect, and working closely with the policy team.

• Support the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Public Affairs and Policy to influence and respond to government policy in respect of employer policy, including drafting responses to government consultations and being our representative on the DfE’s formally constituted groups.

• Provide professional support and guidance to members on matters relating to employer policy, within the restrictions of what we are insured to do as a professional body.

• Support our HR professional community.

• Speak with authority at events and conferences as CST’s nominated representative on employer policy.

• Offer support to the wider CST policy team in other areas that fall within the postholder’s experience or expertise. This may include occasionally deputising for other team members for example covering for annual leave or sickness absence.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Likely educated to degree level (or holding a similar professional qualification or experience) with significant knowledge and experience of employment matters within the education sector and employer policy.

• The ideal candidate will have experience working at senior level likely within an educational, policy or consultancy setting. Knowledge of schools and the trust sector is essential as is the ability to respond to issues in a way which conveys the practical realities of working in schools.

• A sound understanding of the differences between academy trusts and the maintained sector.

• Secure knowledge of legislation, regulations and policy that affect school trusts.

• Authority and gravitas with the ability to speak up at meetings with senior officials with the required diplomacy and at all times with the members’ interests in mind.

• People-centred, with excellent relational skills, adept at forming and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, members and senior external stakeholders (including policy makers, employer representative organisations and trade unions).

Based in Surrey, the Orpheus Centre is an independent specialist college and charity that focuses on developing independence skills through performing and visual arts and makes dramatic improvements to young disabled adults’ lives.  We are currently looking for a driven and pro-active Events Fundraiser to develop, coordinate and deliver the charity’s fundraising events and orchestrate experiences from initial concept to post event analysis. This includes pre-event planning and development, concept development and proposal.

Working closely with the Head of Capital Appeal and Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, you will design and deliver events which steward and develop key contacts as part of our Capital Appeal.

The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team.  You will be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks.

35 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Key Tasks

Smallpeice Trust is an energetic and independent educational charity that exists to address the shortage of engineers in the UK by engaging and inspiring young people aged 9 – 18 to choose pathways that can lead to a career in engineering. Smallpeice Trust are guided by research and driven by empathy, with the belief that engineering should be bold, inclusive, and full of possibility.

The Director of Income Generation will lead the development and delivery of a long-term, sustainable income strategy. This includes overseeing all income streams, from charitable trusts and foundations to corporate partnerships, individual donors, alumni, and commercial opportunities, ensuring they align with their mission to inspire young people in STEM.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will manage a high-performing department across fundraising, partnerships, and marketing, and play a visible and active role in building internal and external relationships.
