As our first Commercial Director, you'll have the autonomy to establish commercial capability from the ground up. You'll build partnerships with health and care organisations, create revenue streams that strengthen our mission including leading the development of training courses that reach new audiences: supporting our members to prevent infections and save lives.

- Build corporate partnerships: Build relationships and partnerships with businesses that have an interest in infection prevention
- Enhance events revenue: Enhance and develop sponsorship opportunities across our annual conference, events, and webinar programmes
- Explore new opportunities: Identify emerging revenue streams from consultancy, publications, and membership growth into new professional sectors
- Shape training course development: Scope and develop infection prevention courses that generate income whilst advancing our educational mission
Who We're Looking For
You're an experienced commercial professional with a proven track record of generating revenue through partnerships, training programmes, or business development. You might come from membership organisations, professional bodies, charities, education or healthcare settings, or from B2B commercial roles with clear transferable skills.
You have the entrepreneurial confidence to build something new, the strategic thinking to identify opportunities, and the relationship skills to turn those opportunities into sustainable partnerships. You're equally comfortable developing pricing models and financial projections as you are crafting compelling partnership proposals.
Most importantly, you understand that commercial success and charitable purpose aren't opposing forces – they're complementary. You want your commercial expertise to strengthen a charity's capacity to serve its members and achieve its mission.

Developing and growing relations with supporters, donors, public, foundations, and corporate friends. This role develops and implements organisational data strategies and frameworks for measuring the impact and performance of the MS Society’s work, aligned to organisational strategy, covering data collection, analysis, and reporting, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of impact and performance evidence and insights.
Experience of stakeholder management both internal and external; and designing and delivering complex analysis and evaluations is required.
With one direct report, we require a seasoned manager / lead and the person applying should also have proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) for advanced data analysis and modelling (e.g. logic models, theory of change and other evaluation models), and experience in using survey tools and software for data collection and analysis.

Job purpose
To coordinate and support the delivery of marketing, events, and outreach activity across Toynbee Hall’s Advice Services, with a particular focus on the Debt Free Advice partnership. The postholder will work closely with our external design company, local partners across London, and internal teams to raise awareness of our advice offer, strengthen client attraction, and ensure consistent, high quality brand presence across all sites and events.
Scope of role
The Marketing Coordinator supports the full marketing, engagement, and outreach function for Advice Services, including campaign delivery, creative asset coordination, event and pop up planning, partnership engagement, and on site marketing support. The role works across multiple London locations and service areas such as debt advice, welfare benefits, financial health, and community outreach. The postholder ensures that materials, events, and campaigns are delivered on time, on brand, and aligned with client attraction goals, with a substantial portion of activity focused on supporting the Debt Free Advice partnership.

What will I be doing?
- Develop CRUK's strategic approach to reward and benefits to ensure that we have the appropriate reward policies, governance, role grading and pay structures in place to ensure consistency whilst enabling CRUK to attract and retain the right people across a broad range of roles/ sectors.
- Work collaboratively with Heads of HR, HR teams, including Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Partners, to understand emerging issues and opportunities and support them in reward related discussions with leadership teams as appropriate.
- Accountable for the oversight and delivery of our annual salary review (ASR) and any market increases. Ensure that the appropriate frameworks and governance are in place to ensure consistency, fairness and affordability.
- Provide accurate and relevant pay and benchmarking data to ensure that the ranges for all our roles are competitive, appropriate and aligned to CRUK's pay position. Provide relevant internal and external pay data to ensure equal pay.
- Develop and deliver an appropriate broader reward offer including pensions and other associated benefits; oversee the management of any associated programmes including our cycle to work scheme, purchasing annual leave, pension scheme etc.
- Provide effective line management for both the Reward Advisor and Pensions Manager, setting clear expectations aligned to the HR strategy and plan. Establish objectives and KPIs, give regular feedback, and manage performance to ensure high standards across the team.
- Oversee CRUK's pension provision, including death in service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and that the scheme and associated benefits serve the best interests of CRUK and that the offer is sustainable for the charity.
What are you looking for?
- Highly numerate with the ability to manage, analyse and understand complex pay data
