The Head of Community Engagement, SBCC and Education holds a key leadership position in delivering our mission—ensuring our global partners implement high-quality, evidence-based programmes that foster meaningful community engagement, promote effective learning and drive lasting behaviour change.
This role provides strategic and technical leadership across SPANA’s work in community engagement, education and Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC), ensuring that all interventions are contextually relevant, grounded in best practice and aligned with SPANA’s 2023–2027 strategy.
The postholder will shape the direction of these critical programme areas, support capacity strengthening across our partner network and ensure measurable contributions to SPANA’s strategic objectives and key performance indicators
Salary, contract and location
This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week) permanent role. This role is hybrid UK based, with regular attendance (approximately 1-2 times per month) in our London office. The salary for this role is approximately £55,000-£60,000, dependent on expereiunce. Are you looking to make a meaningful contribution to nature’s recovery in Wiltshire through a diverse portfolio of projects including farmer engagement and land advice, ecology and natural capital?
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is committed to driving forward nature’s recovery on a landscape scale and we are looking for a committed and innovative Head of Nature Recovery – Maternity Cover (secondments welcome) to continue to drive forward the development of this work. This is a key role for our Trust, in which you’ll use your expertise and knowledge to continue our efforts to drive meaningful change for nature, further developing our work via our innovative collaborations, pioneering natural capital markets, meaningful farmer engagement and nature-based project demonstration.
You’ll be leading a small but dynamic team involved with a wide range of projects, including the groundbreaking Bristol Avon Catchment Market, NEIRF, a developing land advice service and support for farmers with private finance opportunities and delivery of a range of specialist ecological services including species recovery projects. This role requires someone who is self-motivated and energised, able to lead and empower staff.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Support the development of existing projects within the team including natural capital markets, farmer engagement and species recovery projects.
- Lead on the development of our first ‘farmer learning and engagement hub’ site, developing a vision and business plan for the farm alongside the team and the Director of Nature Recovery.
- Identify opportunities to enhance our current offerings for specialist ecological services, natural capital and land advice.
- Manage project finances, including budgets, grant claims and funding applications, ensuring financial accountability.
- Line manage a small but dynamic team to oversee necessary aspects of project planning and implementation.
- Maintain and develop partnerships with landholders, farmers, statutory agencies and other stakeholders.
- Work across Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s Nature Recovery directorate*, contributing expertise and experience to aid the delivery of meaningful impact on the ground.
*Our Nature Recovery Directorate include the Nature Recovery team, the Water Team and our in-house Wiltshire and Swindon Biological Records Centre.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an enterprising and positive-thinking Head of Nature Recovery (Maternity Cover), with the commercial aptitude to secure income alongside impact. This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward the development of our land advisory service and natural capital projects, leading our engagement with farmers and landholders across the county as well as delivery of nature-based solutions on the ground. We are therefore keen to hear from candidates with experience and skills in ecology, land advice and land management, nature recovery and/or natural capital.

Specialist Child to Parent Violence delivery:
- Advocate for the rights of children to be respected, heard and protected.
- Deliver sessions for parents using Non Violent Resistance (NVR) techniques and child and family members, applying a systematic family approach to managing violence and abuse in the home.
- Adhere to the relevant programme manuals for parents as well as for the children and young people.

- Attend training sessions to enhance their delivery and understanding of NVR.
- Be personally accountable for the completion of assessments, pre and post questionnaires, and End of Intervention reports, and ensure they are to a high standard.
- Provide support and consultancy to other professionals to ensure appropriateness of referrals and improve understanding on NVR and CBT techniques and working with families (parents and children and young people.
- Ensure effective planning for the delivery of each intervention in advance of the session.
- Partake and pass all relevant NVR and other child, young people and parent centred training to undertake this specialist work.

Job Profile
CAFOD’s mission in the Catholic community of England and Wales is to inspire and equip Catholics to actively engage in the Church’s efforts to overcome poverty and injustice. Our regional teams focus on recruiting and supporting a dedicated group of volunteers within parish and school communities, empowering them to educate, engage, and inspire others to act in solidarity for the common good. The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative and communications support to the Community Participation Coordinators across England and Wales, with a focus on the West & Wales region as the first point of contact. Vegan Corporate Projects Liaison

To advance PETA's work, particularly our promotion of vegan living, by initiating and delivering various special projects

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work with the Director of Vegan Corporate Projects and Corporate Projects Manager to develop and manage a strategic plan for PETA's work with companies
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with corporations and institutions, and negotiate to improve/increase their vegan options while reducing/eliminating meat, dairy and eggs
- Work with caterers at major sports arenas in the UK to encourage them to expand and promote their vegan food offering
- Encourage chicken shop takeaways to have vegan chicken options on the menu
- Develop positive ways to reach farmers, farming organisations, and the public, to promote plant-based agriculture
- Ensure consistency and best practices in external communications
- Prepare and deliver presentations to executives
- Initiate and execute projects to encourage the public to try a vegan lifestyle
- Develop and make recommendations for ways to increase media coverage of vegan eating in order to help push it further into the mainstream
- Oversee, organise, participate in, and execute vegan-related awareness events

Qualifications:

You will lead on developing and bringing to life this new approach for TCV in how we work together with our corporate partners - enabling us to connect even more people to green spaces.
Ideally you are already working or have worked in the charity sector and are able to demonstrate experience in managing and or developing corporate partnerships.
You should be confident in your ability to prospect new partnerships and, utilising your previous knowledge and experience, you will lead on identifying and creating a pipeline of corporate partners to contact, whose values and strategic objectives clearly align to TCV.
As a key member of the corporate team, you must be confident in your ability to communicate our case for support, ensuring your proposals are compelling, well thought out and deliver value and impact for both our corporate partners and TCV.

RLS Caseworker / Solicitor
As a RLS Caseworker / Solicitor you will conduct a small strategic caseload of asylum and refugee family reunion cases and assist on litigation (where eligible) under our legal aid contract to push for better decision-making, secure results for individuals and pursue improvements in the relevant law, policy and practices.
You will also act as the supervising caseworker/lawyer for the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative (APBI), which is a specialist casework project delivered by RLS with funding and pro bono assistance from 11 leading commercial law firms. As part of this role, you will supervise pro bono lawyers to provide high quality legal representation for Afghans on matters including family reunion, the ARAP scheme, the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme and others. The project is now in its 3rd year and won the Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership Award at the Law Works Pro Bono Awards in 2022 as well as being nominated and commended for numerous other awards in 2022 and 2023. Please note that RLS recognise that pro bono legal work is always an adjunct to, and not a substitute for, an adequate system of publicly funded legal services.
Key responsibilities
- Have conduct of a small strategic caseload and provide high quality legal advice and representation to clients
