Age UK is hiring! We're looking for a Partnerships Manager- Trusts to generate income from charitable trusts and foundations to support the work of Age UK. You will develop creative, compelling funding propositions, engage with high value prospects and stakeholders, and produce regular reports for funders. This fantastic opportunity would best suit an individual with successful and proven experience in achieving income targets in a high value trust fundraising role.

We operate a hybrid-working model, a blend of home and office working. This role will include regular days working from our London office - currently once a week on a Thursday and may involve occasional travel for meetings and cultivation events. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

We are looking for a skilled trust fundraising leader to take on the key role of Senior Trusts and Grants Manager, supporting our mission to help people rebuild their lives and end homelessness for good.

As Senior Trusts and Grants Manager, you’ll lead a thriving team of four, manage strategic funding relationships, and ensure ambitious income targets are achieved. You’ll also maintain your own portfolio of high-value funders, representing St Mungo’s with confidence and credibility.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value trusts and foundations to secure essential funding for our work.
• Lead, support, and inspire the Trusts and Grants team, maintaining a collaborative and positive team culture,where everyone can achieve their income and relationship management targets.
• Oversee the overall trusts programme, including pipeline development,  proposal quality, income tracking, due diligence, and relationships.
• Act as the organisational lead on trust fundraising, enabling senior colleagues to build strong relationships with key funders.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.

The Senior Finance Manager will be a member of the SMT. This role will lead or contribute to the implementation of new financial systems, tools, or procedures that improve efficiency, compliance, and transparency.

Working across Money Ready

You will work with colleagues across the country as we continue to develop and grow the organisation. Contribute to areas of the organisation that are ‘outside’ your immediate focus acting as trusted counsel to those in roles or teams that are different to yours. Key Responsibilities

• Ensures the timely and accurate production of all management and annual accounts and all forecasts in accordance with best practise and statutory requirements.
• A key business partner who provides value added business support and financial insight to the SMT and colleagues throughout the Charity.
• Provides financial insight to development team to assist with fundraising bids, prepare donor budgets, and ensure donor reporting and compliance throughout the grant life cycle.
• Responsible for delivery of all statutory and regulatory compliance, including statutory accounts, certification officer returns, Charities Commission, VAT and all payroll taxes.
• Responsible for fortnightly payment runs processing. Supervise and assist with the sale invoices processing and regular credit control. Monthly reconciliation of all Money Ready’s bank accounts.
• Responsible for monthly payroll including monthly and annual RTI reporting to HMRC, pensions payments, annual payroll processing and relevant reconciliations.
• Work with auditors on preparing the audit strategy and manage annual audit process, providing all the relevant paperwork during the audit process.
• Be a positive change champion for the organisation, identifying key impact areas and priorities and supporting change programmes and strategies in both finance and across the Union as a whole.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns with reconciliations and reporting. Line management, objective setting and performance reviews for direct report.
• Establish and maintain a robust internal controls environment that is fit for purpose but uses a risk-based approach to the establishment of processes and procedures.

Personal Specification

• You will need to show;
• Experience Substantial experience in a finance or accounting role (including at management level) in a not-for profit organisation.
• Substantial experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year end accounts.
• Substantial experience in processing monthly payroll using QuickBooks Payroll and Sage Payroll.
• Line management experience, including objectives setting and performance reviews.
• Experience in charity accounting principles, especially with regards to grants and restricted funds.
• Demonstrable experience of business partnering with multiple, non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience of establishing financial systems including business plans and budgets.

Skills and abilities

• Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA). Finalists to be considered.

SEL Mind are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the Bromley Mental Health Hub (BMHH), as part of the ongoing transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley. The service integrates the expertise of local primary, secondary, and voluntary sector providers to offer flexible, holistic and person-centred support for adults experiencing mental health difficulties.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Manager to join the BMHH team on a one year fixed-term basis. During the fixed-term period, the post holder will lead on reviewing, strengthening and developing the peer support pathway. You will play a key role in shaping support for our clients that enhances quality of life, choice and opportunity. You’ll be integral in leading the pathway to achieve its objectives to help clients improve confidence and resilience, reduce social isolation and encourage independence and integration into their local community. 

In addition, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of peer support in the BMHH, including line management of a Senior Peer Support Coordinator who oversees delivery of both one-to-one and group-based peer support, delivered by the wider peer support team. The role also holds responsibility for supporting the team in dealing with risk and safeguarding matters that may arise. Occasional out-of-hours work may also be required to support the team in their group delivery outside of core office hours.

The role requires excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a commitment to recovery-focused practice, and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with SEL Mind colleagues and within a multidisciplinary team in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. You will have strong line management experience and experience of delivering peer support services, including experience of working with people who have complex or heightened needs. You will also possess a strong understanding of the principles of peer support.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the CEO, we are looking for an experienced charity finance person, with accountancy qualifications.  (CIMA,CIPFA, CCAB, ACCA, AAT etc)

This a pivotal role and the post holder will be a member of the Trust’s Senior Management Team, with responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the Trust’s finances, working closely with CEO and Board.

The role would suit someone who is motivated by the Trust’s purpose and who is good at building relationships.

Main responsibilities

· Alongside external accountant, manage the maintenance of the financial accounting system and monthly accounting processes (BACS runs, Expenses, Accruals, Prepayments, Deferred Income, Payroll etc)

· Review management accounts and liaise with accountants over variances.

· Lead on annual budget process

· Maintain and report on regular forecasts throughout the year

· Monitor individual programme funding to ensure all spend is within budget

· Lead on annual audit and creation of statutory accounts by external accountants.

· Distinguish between Restricted and Unrestricted funding to ensure compliance is met and classification is correct

· Support and advise budget holders in matters relating to the financial management of their departments

· Provide financial input to assist with new funding bids and reports to existing funders and partners.

· Ensure appropriate systems and internal financial controls are implemented and maintained

· Responsible for some areas of governance including insurance, Companies House and Charity Commission registration

· Secretariat for the Finance and Audit Committee

· Attendance to SMT, Board and Finance and Audit Committee meetings, including production of relevant reports

· Responsible for certain policy reviews including; Finance, Expenses, Reserves

· Provide financial information and analysis to the Board, SMT and the wider staffing team as and when required

· Ensure that compliance with relevant financial legislative and regulatory requirements including the Charity SORP are met.

· Manage reporting to Companies House, the Charities Commission

As part of this work, our Finance & Operations Team engages with a wide range of people to support the Trust’s vision for Gloucestershire, and our Finance & Operations Manager is integral to this.

We are looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to provide effective financial management, accurate financial reporting and oversee the facilities management of the Trust’s offices. The Finance & Operations Manager will manage a team of 2 and be part of the Trust’s People Manager Team.

Summary of key duties:

Financial Management and Reporting

• Develop, implement and operate monitoring systems for financial forecasting and re-forecasting to support sound decision making.
• Lead on and co-ordinate the annual budgeting and planning process ensuring that information is collected, compiled and reported in a timely manner to the Leadership Team for review and recommendation to the Finance & Audit Committee.
• Produce quarterly and annual internal finance report and management accounts for reporting to the Leadership Team and Finance & Audit Committee, which summarise budget trends, analyse and report variance.

Policy and Procedures

• Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of effective procurement policies, procedures and systems ensuring best value is achieved across all activities.
• Lead on the annual insurance renewal process, ensuring appropriate cover is in place and general administration of the Trust’s insurance policies is enacted.

Payroll

• Maintain payroll processing system and run the monthly payroll.

Facilities Management

• Support the development of a 5 year planned preventative maintenance plan for the Trust’s premises, to support budget and resource planning.
• Oversee the management of the Trust’s premises ensuring contracts are in place and appropriately managed to ensure the smooth running and maintenance of the building and that all health and safety requirements are met.

Line management responsibilities

• Provide line management to the Finance Co-ordinator and Workplace & Facilities Manager, enacting the Trust’s management processes to ensure that all employees are motivated, supported and enabled to give of their best.
• Contribute to Trust-wide people management policies, procedures and team culture as a member of the People Manger Team.

Essential Knowledge and Experience 

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or experience to this level (E).
• Practical knowledge and understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting and preparation of financial reports for senior management and compliance purposes.

Read for Good’s Grants and Trusts Manager leads on securing high-value income for the national charity from trusts and foundations, typically securing one-off and multi-year grants in the five- to six-figure range. You will research and cultivate prospective funders, produce compelling, tailored proposals, programme reports and manage a strong pipeline of funding opportunities. You will also develop and steward long-term funding relationships that align with our mission and strategy, building on our well established and robust pipeline.
