Key Responsibilities:

Job purpose:
Alongside the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will provide business partnering by build relationships with SMT, managers and their teams, providing them with financial insights, reporting and analysis that enable them to make informed decisions. The post holder will champion and drive automation, enabling the effective and efficient running of the finance function.
The post holder will be a part-qualified/newly qualified accounting professional with experience of working in a not-for-profit setting. Key responsibilities:
Financial management and reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts and cash flows for the Head of Finance to review.
- Prepare year-end schedules and other supporting documents for submission to external auditors as set out in annual audit plan and support the Head of Finance with responding to auditor queries.
- Maintain the Association’s accounting systems including updating the chart of accounts, period maintenance and user access.

Our employability team deliver a suite of careers focused programmes and activities to school and university aged young people. This includes Pathways to Law, Pathways to Banking and Finance and Pathways to Engineering, each providing young people with support and expertise in accessing higher education/apprenticeships, work experience opportunities, and skills development. Main duties
Designing and delivering the Trust’s residential conferences, currently one event per year for each Pathways programme (Law, Banking & Finance, and Engineering). This includes
- Organising and managing event logistics, such as venues, catering, facilities and accommodation

About Let Me Know (LMK)
Good relationships shape our health and happiness, yet we are taught so little about them. LMK (Let Me Know) is on a mission to change that. We are a young and thriving charity providing education about healthy and unhealthy behaviours so that young people have the knowledge and skills to avoid abuse and thrive in their relationships. Job Description
This is a new role, joining a small and growing fundraising team. The purpose of this Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager role is to grow LMK’s income generation from Charitable Trusts and Foundations, to support delivery of LMK’s mission.
The role is a true combination of independent and collaborative working. Independent in the writing of bespoke funding applications and reports, maintaining accurate records on LMK’s CRM, and researching to continually build LMK’s pipeline of Trusts & Foundation prospects.
And collaborative in the close working with LMK’s core team to monitor and report on restricted grants, and working together with the wider fundraising team on creative projects such as: maintaining an updated library of cases for support, implementation of fresh and creative stewardship strategies that bring LMK supporters closer to our work, and cultivation strategies that engage supporters to whom LMK is brand new.

About the role
For 50 years, Kidney Care UK has been at the forefront of supporting people with kidney disease. From our early days when we campaigned to introduce donor cards in the UK, we have worked hard to support and represent the interests of everyone affected by kidney disease.
We are looking for a passionate, talented Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our ambitious, successful Fundraising team that has been growing non-legacy income 34% year-on-year since 2021 as we approach our new 5 year fundraising strategy.
This role is responsible for managing and developing the charity’s portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, securing significant gifts and growing the long-term potential of this portfolio (target for this 12 months period is £378,000). There are no direct reports, however the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with Senior Management Teams, other departments and stakeholders to build and develop cases for support to help fund our much-needed work.
The successful candidate will utilise their expert writing skills to shape those cases for support into compelling, high-quality proposals and reports.
Building relationships with a wide range of audiences including funders is key. Inspiring them to support kidney patients across the UK and engage with the kidney community, enabling them to tell their stories and better communicate how larger trust grants can make a real difference for people with chronic kidney disease.
A dynamic, self-motivated, ambitious and pro-active fundraiser is required for this role, demonstrating enthusiasm for the projects and services we are seeking funds to support.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and a proven track record of successful income generation and delivering against targets.
You will have demonstratable experience in researching potential Trust funders, submitting compelling proposals, securing funding and project managing successful bids through to completion of the grant award.
You will also have a background in report writing and demonstrating grant impact whilst being able to build relationships with funders, individual/major donors and senior stakeholders.
Experience of providing excellent supporter care, building mutually beneficial long-term relationships with funders is a must for this role.

About Us
The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.
Boasting a beautiful 24-acre site in Surrey, we are located just outside of London, close to the M25 (accessible via Junction 8, A217 to Tadworth) and easily accessible via National Rail, by way of: Clapham Junction, Sutton, and Epsom.

Rehabilitation of Offenders
Many roles at The Children’s Trust are exempt from the provisions of Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, by virtue of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013 and 2020) and as such, are subject to an Enhanced DBS check. Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, which will disclose all unspent convictions and adult cautions and any spent convictions or adult cautions that would not be protected. The exceptions to this are our retail roles within The Children’s Trust shops, which are subject to Basic DBS checks which will disclose unspent convictions or adult cautions.

Online Searches
In accordance with statutory safeguarding and child protection guidance, online searches will be conducted for shortlisted candidates before interview. The online searches will be conducted by a person who is independent of the interview and selection process and will focus on relevant information returned via searches of the candidate’s name (and variations thereof). Social media searches will be limited to professional platforms such as LinkedIn. Any concerns relating to suitability for work with children and young people will be forwarded to the interview panel, for discussion during the interview.
