Representing the organisation in high-level forums, you will also champion innovation in consumer advocacy and ensure tangible impact in markets around the world. Your experience will combine political acumen, relationship-building skills and a network mindset, and you will be able to talk to stakeholders in the Financial Inclusion space with confidence.

Your experience;

• Proven experience in advocacy, government relations or public policy (ideally in financial regulation, consumer protection or digital policy).
• Demonstrated ability to influence regulatory or policy change in partnership with civil society or multistakeholder coalitions.
• Strong understanding of regulatory processes in low- and middle-income contexts and familiarity with digital finance ecosystems.
• Excellent relationship-building and networking skills, with experience facilitating collaboration across diverse stakeholders. Bringing in and utilising your connections with stakeholders in this space is highly desirable.

James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering free clinical services. We currently have centres in Newcastle, Liverpool and London; and in early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. The Role

We are recruiting for a team of clinicians to deliver our clinical proven intervention at our new James’ Place centre in Birmingham. As a Suicide Prevention Therapist, you will be an experienced mental health professional or therapist with demonstrable interest in suicide prevention. You will support men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis and their supporter(s), delivering our unique intervention and co-producing effective safety plans to maintain their safety. Successful applicants will be joining a new team at a pivotal time and will have the opportunity to shape the local culture at James’ Place Birmingham. 

Person Specification

The role requires someone with a relevant qualification who can confidently support men experiencing a suicidal crisis. You will need to be able to effectively conduct risk assessments and deliver our clinically proven therapeutic intervention to ensure client safety. Strong therapeutic communication, the ability to work autonomously and teamwork skills are also essential to this role, as well as the ability to build trust and hope.

Role Purpose

Each year through this programme, we train hundreds of volunteers from our corporate partners to visit primary schools and share examples of how maths has helped them as adults, both in their careers and personal lives.

We are currently recruiting a Software Developer (R Shiny) to support our evolving operations, supporting our Global Data Science team. Reporting to the Head of Data Engineering, this is a full-time role with occasional travel (1-2 times per year) to work closely with overseas colleagues, partners, field teams and communities.

Job Title: Fostering Recruitment Officer

Salary: £26,854 per annum salary (increasing to £29,838 in 18 months) + £750 per annum Homeworking Allowance

The Fostering Recruitment Officer will have a varied and interesting role working flexibly, including evenings and weekends, organising a variety of events, peer support groups, and promotional opportunities amongst local communities. Overall Duties of the Fostering Recruitment Officer will include:

• Working collaboratively with the team to progress fostering enquiry management
• Support community recruitment activity to create a consistent pipeline of carer applicants
• Facilitating a smooth application and assessment process for potential foster carers
• Undertaking essential admin relating to record keeping, creation of data for analysis, evidence for measuring objectives

The Role

Social prescribing link workers will work as a key part of the primary care network (PCN) multi-disciplinary team. Social prescribing can help PCNs to strengthen community and personal resilience and reduces health and wellbeing inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with direct supervision from the Programme Lead/Senior Link Worker and input from the PCN’s Clinical Lead GP, take referrals from staff in GP practices within the local PCN.
• Provide personalised support to individuals, their families and carers to take control of their health and wellbeing, live independently and improve their health outcomes, as a key member of the PCN multi-disciplinary team.
• Developing trusting relationships and taking a holistic approach, based on the person’s priorities and co-produce a simple personalised care and support plan to improve health and wellbeing, introducing or reconnecting people to community groups and statutory services.
• Work collaboratively with all local partners to contribute towards supporting local community groups and organisations, making themselves aware of local resources and “assets” through mapping and then building a relationship with these organisations.  Also sharing intelligence regarding any gaps or problems identified in local provision with commissioners and local authorities. 
• Social prescribing link workers will work collaboratively with GP’s and have a role in promoting social prescribing and educating non-clinical and clinical staff within their PCN multi-disciplinary teams on the benefits of social prescribing
• Raise awareness of other services available within the community and how and when patients can access them. Linking into the work of Neighbourhood Network Schemes, locality Adult Social Care & Community Mental Health Teams.

About You

As a Social Prescribing Link Worker, you will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Health & Social Care, Health Trainer, Health Improvement, Community Family Worker, Psychology) or be working towards/willing to work towards.

You will have:

• Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development
• Experience of working directly in a community based context (including unpaid work)
• Experience of supporting people with a mental health need and or complexities/vulnerabilities
• Experience of delivering one to one support
• Experience of partnership/collaborative working and of building relationships across a variety of organisations
• Knowledge of VCSE and community services in the locality
• Understanding of the wider determinants of health, including social, economic and environmental factors and their impact on communities, individuals, their families and carers
• Understanding of the barriers faced by those living in isolation
• Knowledge of IT systems including ability to use word processing skills, emails, the internet and able to create simple plans and reports
• Ability to complete paperwork, keep records and carry out own administration
