You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.

About You:

To be successful as the Community Keyworker you will need to be a creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are a confident professional relationship builder with a good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. You will have strong administration skills and an understanding of compliant behaviours. You will also have good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions within the area.

Job Title: Production Supervisor

About The Felix Project 

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job  

We are looking for the Production Supervisor to play a key role in our brand-new Production team under project ‘Unit 17’.  

You will be the on the ground senior leading the teams in the daily tasks to be completed, working as the connection between the management team and the team members and volunteers. Working hands on within all the production lines, leading by example and supporting the team across the operation. 

This is an operational role, mainly based on the production floor but with a range of reporting and administrative tasks involved. You will report into the Production Manager and work closely with them on the day to day running of the unit as well as supporting covering their duties when they are away.

You will be supervising and supporting the teams to deliver on each day’s production targets as well as ensuring that all rules and HACCAP plans are followed correctly, providing real time feedback to the management team on any issues and resolutions taken.

More about Unit 17 

In early/mid 2025, we opened our second production facility as part of the Coronation Food Project. The Coronation Food Project was set up to celebrate His Majesty King Charles 75th birthday and seeks to bridge the gap between food waste and food need across the UK. 

We will be taking in surplus food from our supplier network and creating a range of products which have added value and extended shelf life.  A particular focus will be seasonal produce gluts, using ingredients which we may otherwise not be able to redistribute.  

Using four key processes (re-packaging, jarring / preserving, dehydrating and freezing), we will create a range of products which will be used in these three main ways:  

• Distributed to our partner community organisations as ‘ready to eat’ or ‘easy to use’ products for their service users - always delicious, achieving relevant safety standards and meeting the needs of the eventual end user. 

• Used in the East London Central Production Unit (CPU) to support creating Felix Ready Meals.  

• Used in Unit 17 in the creation of other products (for example frozen produce later used to make jarred sauces or preserves) 

A typical day at Unit 17 will likely include planning new product/s based on the ingredients available that day, agreeing relevant food safety requirements and working in line with this, working with the production team and volunteers to prepare, produce and package delicious products, planning for future products and project work.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Day to day supervision of the operations team, with a hands-on supportive approach

Whilst previous experience and knowledge within food production is essential, we are looking for someone who wants to grow into the role and be able to develop themselves and their knowledge whilst we develop this new operation.

Overview / purpose of the role

We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Officer who is interested in developing a career in bookkeeping and/or accountancy within the nonprofit sector. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience in a finance or operations role who is looking to build on that foundation and grow their skills in a mission-driven organisation.

The Finance & Operations Officer is a central resource within CGP, working with colleagues in the Operations Team, and across the organisation to provide financial and operational support to all areas of our work. Responsibilities

Finance

• Managing our accounts payable inbox, monitoring all incoming invoices and following up with team members on any missing information if required

• Processing and coding invoices  in Xero accounting software ahead of weekly payment runs

• Checking that correct coding and approval procedures are followed for staff expenses

• Conducting weekly payment runs via our online banking system

• Coordinating our monthly payroll processes (working with external providers)

The right candidate will bring some prior experience in a relevant role, alongside enthusiasm for nonprofit finance and operations. They will have an aptitude for maths and finance,  excellent attention to detail and a meticulous, methodical approach to work and troubleshooting.

• Has 1–2 years of experience in a finance, bookkeeping, administrative, or operations role

• Is interested in building a career in nonprofit finance and is open to pursuing further financial training

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe. The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe. 

The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer. This position requires excellent relationship management, organisational and communication skills. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, processing collections (through ULI CT or ULI Europe) and preparing donor reports in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US.

• Collaborate closely with team members of the ULI Europe business Development and Membership team, in addition to ULI’s country directors and governance director to support the planning of, and coordinate the implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy determined by ULI Europe (namely by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee), focusing on both donations from individuals based in Europe and donations from European philanthropic foundations and government programmes;  
• Work with and manage relationships with individual and institutional donors, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee; 
• Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies; 
• Coordination of proposal writing for potential foundation funding, in close collaboration with the research, marketing communications and legal and compliance teams.
• Set up and implement application, reporting and compliance process for philanthropic gifts for ULI Europe.

We’re looking for an experienced finance professional with an interest in effectively using technology and systems to drive efficiency, without compromising on accuracy or compliance. 

You will oversee all financial administration, ensuring this is carried out proficiently and in line with all legal and regulatory requirements, including ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all statutory filings are made accurately and on time. Your role will also encompass ensuring that we operate within legal & regulatory frameworks and stay up to date with changes in relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing a comprehensive financial strategy that supports the delivery of the charity’s objectives and activities

• Developing our systems strategy, including reviewing suitability of our current systems (Quickbooks for accountancy, Beacon CRM, PLEO for expenses management, Survey Monkey for data collection etc. ) and ensuring optimal use of systems, maximising automation, and using AI where appropriate.

• Constantly seeking to develop and improve the organisation’s financial systems, policies and procedures to promote dynamic, best practice and up-to-date application of tools, systems and approaches

• Leading and developing the Finance and Office Manager and ensuring effective support from the external book-keeping team.

• Lead on creation of the annual budget, working closely with Directors.

• Advising the Chief Executive, team and Trustees, ensuring that benefits and risks of decisions are fully considered and fit with the overall financial strategy

• Oversee sound financial administration, management and governance across the organisation, ensuring robust financial controls in place and operating effectively.

• Provide leadership and guidance to all things finance related, providing mentoring and support to the team, and coaching on financial awareness. 

• Accountability for monitoring that the organisation’s services are, and will, run to budget, supporting budget holders and reporting promptly on risks 

• Have ultimate oversight of the external audit and production of the statutory accounts, supported in delivery of this by the Finance & Office Manager

• Oversee production of management accounts and bespoke financial reports, including accurate forecasting, incisive analysis and accessible narrative commentary, ensuring decision-makers have the information they need. 

• Forecasting cash flow and managing the treasury position.

• Support the Partnerships & Impact team and Programme Managers with financial inputs to funding proposals and ensure restricted funds are used in compliance with grant conditions.

• Oversight of finance, governance and basic HR administration, supporting the Finance and Office Manager with high profile or complex queries, seeking specialist advice on financial or compliance matters as required

• Ensuring GDPR compliance across the organisation

• Leading an effective risk management process.

• Ensuring the organisation’s compliance with charity law, in accordance with the Charity Commission in England & Wales and all financial reporting requirements.

Skills & experience:

• You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve kids’ health through improving food and food education in schools

• You have full or partial qualification through an accredited accountancy body 

• You have experience in a senior finance role (e.g., Director, Head of) in any sector, and some experience within a finance function in the 3rd sector (in particular familiarity with Charities SORP and experience of administering restricted funds).

• You have experience of audit

• You enjoy a mix of leadership and rolling up sleeves to get hands on 

• You take a pragmatic and dynamic approach to robust financial management

• You can turn complex and dry data, into clear and engaging narrative 

• You have project managed the implementation of new systems (accountancy / CRM / data) and have a good awareness of new technologies

• You are organised, methodical, strong on detail, and able to map out deadlines and plan ahead 

• You are skilled in leading a team and building rapport with people, and strike a balance between being supportive and challenging
