Role Purpose 
 
To manage the standards function of their organisation including managing and leading the review and development of professional standards and guidance, developing policy related to standards, and responding to enquiries from registrants about ther standards and guidance. The standards set clear expectations of safe practice for eye care professionals and good governance for businesses. This role makes a significant contribution towards achieving their purpose of protecting the public and ensuring confidence in those regulated.
 
Key Accountabilities 
 

• Review, develop and maintain the professional standards and guidance for registrants, including optometrists, dispensing opticians, optical students and optical businesses
• Manage queries and correspondence relating to professional standards in accordance with organisational service standards
• Develop and deliver activities to raise awareness of the professional standards and guidance, including internal and external presentations and developing tools to support registrants apply the standards and guidance in practice
• Engage and consult with external stakeholders particularly in relation to the development of new and updated professional standards and guidance
• Support effective engagement and consultation with internal stakeholders, including the Council, Advisory Panel (including Standards Committee, Companies Committee and Education Committee), internal reference groups and other departments
• Develop and implement methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the professional standards and guidance

About the role

In this new and pivotal role, you will lead efforts to grow awareness, engagement, and income generation through a vibrant network of volunteer-led branches across  Scotland. About the team

With the support of the Regional Manager – Casework and Community Engagement, this role plays a key part in establishing, coordinating, and leading a team of Community Engagement Volunteers across the Scotland.

For a large international organisation, we are recruiting an Interim Group FP&A Manager who will coordinate and produce consolidated financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. The Group FP&A Manager will contribute to planning activity and data across Finance, working closely with Regional Finance Directors to ensure consistency of all planning and forecasting. This role will report to the Director of Group Planning and Reporting and will lead, manage, and motivate a Financial Planning Analyst. This role is for a minimum of 6-months and could be extended.

Main Duties:

Job Purpose

• This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all our boroughs.
• Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.
• The objectives of the service include:
• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients

The Role

The role of the senior support worker is to support the team manager with the smooth running of the allocated site and staff; supporting development and rest of the team including volunteer recruiting, induction (training and development) and supervision. The Role

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the CEO/Director will be responsible for the overall strategic, financial, and operational leadership of Chelsea Theatre. This is a hands-on role with a focus on balancing the day-to-day running of the operational activities of the venue, with essential components such as stakeholder management, community engagement and income generation. 

Key Responsibilities

The postholder will: 

• Provide leadership and responsibility for the charity’s purpose, administration and financial management plus ensure compliance with the law and regulations. 

• Generate significant earned income from one-off and repeat hirers, including local community organisations, commercial contracts, arts organisations and private hires, with a focus on high quality customer care.

• Increase income from grants, corporates and funds from individuals, with support from Trustees.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe.

 The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe. The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, donation tracking, gift processing, and donor stewardship in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US. 
• Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team.
• Collaborate closely with the ULI Europe Business Development and Membership team, ULI’s country directors, and the governance director to support the planning and implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy set by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee.
• Coordinate and maintain relationships with individual and institutional donors,, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee;
• Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies;

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Challenge Events Manager to lead and grow our challenge events programme at The Passage. This new role offers a unique opportunity to shape a new events strategy, inspire supporters, and drive sustainable income. You'll manage third-party and bespoke events, build supporter journeys, and create engaging content to foster community and loyalty. Working closely with the wider team, you'll bring fresh ideas, test new concepts, and deliver high-quality events that raise both funds and our profile.

Role and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be joining at an incredibly exciting time at The Passage, with challenge events having grown in profile and prominence over the past 12-18 months - with an incredible 50 people signed up for the Hackney Half this year, it is the start of something exciting for the fundraising team.

The postholder will:

• Lead the delivery and development of The Passage's Challenge Events strategy, expanding the portfolio and growing net income.
• Research, test, and implement new events to diversify fundraising opportunities and attract new supporters.
• Provide tailored stewardship to individuals and groups, enhancing supporter journeys and retention.
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive corporate participation, deliver compelling marketing campaigns, and support volunteer-led fundraising.
• Oversee third-party relationships, ensure value for money, and manage event safety through robust risk assessments
• Produce and manage the Challenge Events income and expenditure annual plan and budget.

About You:

You will bring passion, ambition and energy about the work of The Passage combined with the essential skills to build and deliver a brilliant calendar of challenge events. This will include:

• Proven track record and knowledge in delivering third-party and bespoke challenge events, including participant recruitment and supporter stewardship.
• Experience in recruiting engaged and passionate fundraisers/participants and building long-term relationships through excellent supporter engagement.
• Skilled in planning and executing mass participation and third-party events, often in collaboration with external agencies.
• Strong ability to use data, insight, and market trends to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities.
• Demonstrated success in setting budgets, achieving income targets, and driving portfolio growth.
• Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce and experience working within the charity sector.

The purpose of the role is to lead an outstanding IT service across the Trust and cultivate a high performing team that supports all staff, people we support and other stakeholders.

Reporting to the Resource Director, the role will be key in supporting the digital transformation agenda, providing IT and data expertise that will enable higher quality of life for adults with learning disabilities and maximise efficiencies within the services that we provide. 

Main Responsibilities   

• Developing the IT strategy in alignment with the Trust wide strategic goals and evolving digital transformation priorities;

• Oversee the Trust’s approach to Cyber security, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice. Being the subject matter expert for the organisation.

• Oversee the Trust’s data and privacy framework, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws and training and educating staff as required on data protection measures; 

• Lead, mentor and develop the IT team of four, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement;

• Prepare and manage the IT department budget, optimising resource allocation to achieve maximum value and efficiency and ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources; 

• Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of the Trust’s IT systems; 

• Providing IT expertise and advice for the software owners across the Charity including supporting the development of management reporting using Power BI;

• Support the development of an environment of digital innovation and best practice, ensuring the use of technologies for the benefit of the diversity of the people we support; 

• Support any technology implementation plans ensuring all technology solutions are project managed effectively. To supports team members to ensure they identify risks, contingency plans and engage with stakeholders for effective collaboration; 

• To lead on procurement and contract negotiations with vendors of IT systems and software providers, ensuring ITTs and contract awards are in line with the Trust policies and value for money is achieved;

What you’ll bring to the role:   

• Recognised Degree in Business IT or Computer Science related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 

• Proven track record in a senior management digital transformation position.

• 6+ years’ digitalisation experience. 

• 5+ years Project Management experience.

• Excellent working knowledge of Power BI 

• Proven track record on delivering complex projects. 

• Experience of having designed, implemented, and evaluated organisational transformation digital solutions and has delivered change that added value to the organisation. 

• Highly effective change agent who engages with senior stakeholders to deliver the digital program to the organisation. 

• Benchmarking skills and identifies best practice and knowledge of the digital landscape of organisations. 

• High degree of budget management experience associated with digital technology design and its adaptation.
