Purpose:
The Events and Communications Officer will be responsible for supporting both membership events and communications activities. The ECO will work with both the Communications Manager and the Membership and Events Manager to ensure membership data is up-to-date, to track membership engagement, to support the organising and delivery of our events, and to craft and broadcast digital content and media outputs. This role requires a proactive, dynamic, and driven individual with excellent communication skills, an understanding of event management, confidence and experience using CRM databases and Excel, along with social media skills and an ability to spot new media opportunities. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, confident and adept with CRM systems, and enthusiastic about delivering excellent service to members whilst helping to promote the organisation's work across digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
Membership and Events Support

Working closely with the Membership and Events Manager to deliver strategies for recruiting, retaining, and engaging members.

Role Purpose
As Product Manager HOSTHub Lead, you will drive the vision, design, and delivery of HOSTHub, HOST’s secure digital platform for global civil society operations.
HOSTHub is the central nervous system of HOST - connecting partners, funders, and internal teams across finance, legal, and operations. You will lead the platform’s development and optimisation, ensuring every user journey is clear, intuitive, and aligned with HOST’s empowering, expert, and empathetic values.
Working closely with the Partnerships and Engagement teams, along with our development contractors, you’ll translate user needs into product strategy, coordinate with the external development team, and deliver tools that make life easier for changemakers, funders, and the HOST team.

Oversee product design and development process, in coordination with the development team.

Ensure that all Hosted Partner and HOST team voices are included and prioritised into the platform development, acting as central focal point for all HOSThub needs.

4. Data, Systems, and Integration
Work with the Data Analyst to ensure HOSTHub captures accurate, useful data for reporting and impact measurement.
Integrate Data and Impact measurement needs into the Product Roadmap prioritisation

Create and maintain onboarding resources, FAQs, and user guides.
Partner with the Training Lead to embed digital literacy across the organisation and hosted partner community.

Required Experience
5–8 years’ experience in product management, digital platform delivery, or systems development - ideally within SaaS, fintech, social enterprise, or digital infrastructure contexts.
Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder digital products from concept to launch and iteration.
Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and user journey design, with practical experience mapping and optimising workflows for multiple user groups.
Experience managing or coordinating external developers, digital agencies, or tech contractors in remote environments.
Demonstrated ability to translate user needs into technical requirements, prioritising effectively across competing demands.
Familiarity with API integrations, database systems, and workflow automation tools (e.g. Zapier, Airtable, or custom integrations).

You will be responsible for ensuring that funder requirements, hosted partner needs, and HOST’s financial integrity align seamlessly. This means managing due diligence, contracting, reporting, and financial monitoring for all funder grants — whether they are received on behalf of a single hosted partner or distributed through multi-grant programmes.

We are seeking a Community Development Officer to lead a major in-progress project improving recognition, support, and care for people with smell and taste disorders at a local level across England.
This three-year, volunteer-led programme, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund has achieved significant success in its first eighteen months. We are now recruiting a new postholder to take this strong foundation forward through the next phase of delivery.
Over the past eighteen months, we have recruited and established a thriving network of volunteers and local groups across England. This momentum is expected to continue. The Community Development Officer will work closely with existing volunteers and groups, primarily remotely, while also attending in-person events and meetings in different parts of England as needed.
The postholder will lead the ongoing recruitment, training, and support of volunteer groups, working with them to identify opportunities for local outreach and engagement. About the role
The Media Manager will shape key messages and contribute towards positive media coverage for Christian Aid's policy and advocacy work, for instance on humanitarian crisis contexts, climate, aid and economic justice, aligning with organisational values and goals and to maximize impact.
About You
You will have significant experience of working as a journalist, communications professional or in PR (client or agency side), with a developed ability to produce newsworthy stories, op-eds and press releases for Christian Aid in collaboration with relevant colleagues. You will possess highly developed time and project management skills, strong multi-tasking abilities and strong situational awareness, along with advanced interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, including written, oral and professional networking, particularly with journalists. For over 15 years, Scotty's Little Soldiers has been supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. We are about to embark on an exciting journey which will see the charity evolve to support anyone affected by a military-connected bereavement and ultimately empower a community of more than 25,000 bereaved individuals and their families by 2035.
Founded in 2010 by Nikki Scott following the death of her husband, Corporal Lee Scott, the charity currently offers a unique blend of emotional, practical, and educational support to over 750 young people.

Role Mission.
To lead the creation and delivery of Scotty’s new navigating entitlements casework (START) Programme, a single point of contact service designed to support anyone affected by military-connected bereavement.
This is a hands-on, pioneering role. You’ll help shape the infrastructure, recruit and lead a small squad of caseworkers, and ensure that everyone in the bereaved military community receives compassionate, personalised, and well-coordinated support.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
Service Design & Delivery
- Working closely with the Head of Service, lead the operational planning and phased rollout of the START Programme
- Develop and refine service model, workflows, triage criteria, and beneficiary journeys
- Own the SPOC offer, ensuring clear onboarding, needs assessments, support plans, and follow-up
- Ensure the service is trauma-informed, inclusive, and responsive to beneficiary feedback
- Manage your own caseload alongside Programme Head responsibilities.
Team Leadership & Development
- Help recruit and then directly support 1 initial caseworker (with potential to grow team in 2027 depending on demand)
- Provide coaching, oversight, and reflective practice opportunities for squad members
- Create a strong squad culture that reflects The Scotty’s Way and encourages personal growth
- Lead START Programme Daily Huddles
Collaboration & Partnership
- Build strong referral pathways with external organisations (military & non-military charities, NHS, social care)
- Become the charity’s expert on navigating entitlements for the bereaved community.
- Work collaboratively with other Programme leads to ensure consistency, shared learning & efficient internal referrals
- Support the Head of Service in forming partnerships that enhance START’s offer
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Track and report on beneficiary engagement, support outcomes, and follow-up actions
- Use insights, working with the Head of Research & Impact, to adapt and improve the service over time
- Ensure CRM records are complete, accurate, and used to inform delivery decisions
Contribution to Charity-Wide Goals
- Feed into cross-functional projects including Outreach, Fundraising, and Strategy
- Act as a representative of Scotty’s at sector events or external meetings where appropriate
- Support content development by sharing anonymised stories, insights, and themes
The 30-day goals for this role are:
- Built a deep understanding of Scotty’s mission, our audience, the services we provide, and strategic direction.
- Worked closely with the Head of SUPPORT to understand the history of Scotty’s helping families navigate entitlements, including reviewing current and recent cases.
- Began to map the key stakeholders, partners and organisations (including statutory, charitable and others) for casework in the START Programme.
The 60-day goals for this role are:
- Scoped and met with key stakeholders.
- Worked with Head of Service to map the new casework (START) programme and beneficiary journeys.
- Worked with the Head of Service and the Head of Impact to ensure that processes are in place to monitor the outcomes and impact of the new START Programme.
- With the Head of Service, supported the design of a light CRM for initial use in START casework.
- Drafted all other necessary processes and procedures for casework including safeguarding, triage, wait time limits etc.
- Drafted a training plan for new START caseworkers.
The 90-day goals for this role are:
- Launched the new START Programme.
- Built strong partner networks for any needed referrals or information gathering to support casework.
- Created a road map of future Programme releases (e.g. new services within the programme, themes, cohort specific activities etc).
About You:
Must-Have
Experience in service delivery, casework, or personalised support services
Ability to lead a new programme from concept to delivery
Strong team leadership and relationship-building skills
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Nice-to-Have
Familiarity with military family life or bereavement support
Background in adult mental health, social care or wellbeing services
Experience in service co-design with users or lived experience groups
Safeguarding knowledge or training
Additional Information
· The role may require occasional evening or weekend work
