We have a new opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the finance team at St Mungo’s. Working as part of this small and fast paced team you will play a key role in maximising commercial and service benefits, minimising risk and delivering continuous improvement, that truly make a difference to the lives of people experiencing homelessness.

In the role of Contracts Manager you will:

• Develop and implement long-term strategic project plans, policies and procedures.
• Deliver savings through a robust risk and issue management process and ensure best practice contract management processes across St Mungo’s.
• Build strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, providing contract management expertise to the Leadership team and managing high value external contracts, ensuring suppliers conform to contractual terms.
• Provide line management, support and supervision to staff within the team, and support other finance colleagues with contract management knowledge.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. 

About you

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and influencing skills, a relevant CIPS qualification, or proven equivalent work experience and experience of dealing with a variety of categories of expenditure, such as professional services, IT systems, energy, and insurance.

You will have working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and public contract regulations and demonstrate your experience of development, monitoring, and management of contracts with significant financial value at a senior level.

Reports to: Head of Support and Care (Registered Manager)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, usually Monday - Friday 9 - 5pm

Main purpose of the role:

- To lead and manage the Oak Group, one of three groups in the L'Arche London community, comprising of a range of services for people with learning disabilities and its team of assistants. 
- To lead the service delivery within this group in line with L'Arche values, standards and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC]. 
- To play an active role in the leadership of L'Arche London, helping shape a vibrant community of people with and without learning disabilities.

Leadership and People Management:

- Supervise and work with the Deputy Service Coordinator to lead a team of 15 Support Assistants. Ensure each assistant in the group is regularly supervised, trained, and appraised, and that action is taken to effectively manage performance issues.
- Understand the requirements of the CQC and other relevant legislation and ensure that all applicable standards are met including adult safeguarding. 
- As part of the Community Coordinating Team, implement appropriate policies and procedures, promoting the wider L'Arche mission, vision and values.
- Be on the On-Call rota every 6 - 8 weeks, with flexibility as service requires. (Additional pay provided.)

Provision of Support to People with Learning Disabilities

- Ensure the provision of high quality personalised support for each person with a learning disability in the Oak group, implementing Person Centred Support Plans to maximise independence, personal choice, and autonomy.
- Enable each person with learning disabilities to feel at home, encouraging both individuality and belonging, ensuring that everyone is informed of their rights and responsibilities as a member of the Community group and as a tenant.

Administration and Management

What We Offer

- This post is offered subject to a probationary period of 6 months; 3 clear references; a completed work history form; a satisfactory and up-to-date enhanced DBS check; and a satisfactory right to work check as appointees must have the right to work in the UK.
- There is no additional pay for overtime, but Time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given and agreed with the line manager when circumstances require the post-holder to work extra hours. TOIL should be taken within 2 weeks of being accrued.
- All Service Coordinators are the on-call rota for 1 week every 6 - 8 weeks. There is an additional payment of £56 a week for being on-call.
- Paid holiday allowance of 33 days leave per year. (This total is inclusive of 8 days in lieu of bank holidays).
- Service Coordinators will be provided with a programme of personal development and training including opportunities to study for QCF qualifications in social care and leadership development through L'Arche in the UK's leadership development programme.

Place of work: Fully remote, with occasional 2/3 nights away for year-round events.

Working Hours: 37 hrs—a minimum of core hours from 10 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday must be met.

Salary: £35,000 – 40,000, dependent on experience

Holiday entitlement: Begins at 25 days per annum, in addition to public holidays.

Collections Development Manager

Library of the Religious Society of Friends

Salary: £48,715 per annum

Contract: Full Time; Fixed Term for two years

We are seeking a Collections Development Manager in the Library of the Religious Society of Friends. You will manage the operation of the Library and be responsible for the ongoing acquisition and processing of printed and published material for the Library’s collections, in line with our Collections Development Policy. You will also work as part of a team to support the strategic review and development of our collections management.

This is an opportunity to use your experience and creativity to help shape the future development of our unique and important collections. You will be familiar with library and collections management and be able to manage the team and the day-to-day operation of the library. You will also contribute to strategic planning and the delivery of a development plan. You will be an effective communicator, able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

PR Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy, high-performing public relations team at a national charity caring for the NHS. We’re looking for a brilliant, proactive and resourceful PR manager who is passionate about the NHS and generating amazing media coverage for a charity, in this remote and flexible working role.

Position: PR Manager

Location: Remote/flexible (must be able to work in Warwick and London offices occasionally)

Salary: £41,000 - 46,000 per annum, depending on experience

The Role

The PR Manager plays a central role, working closely with the Head of Media to manage the public relations function of the charity. You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute prominent and high impact national and regional media campaigns, to help people better understand the mission and take action to support it.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:

· Generate regular, positive, proactive media coverage

· Proactively sell stories into the media as well as react to incoming enquiries

· Work with the Head of Media to develop impactful press strategies in line with the wider PR strategy

· Take a proactive approach to gathering NHS staff, member and supporter case studies

· Identify and develop high quality media pitches, spotting slots and opportunities and piggybacking on the news agenda where appropriate

· Build positive working relationships with target journalists

· Monitor and evaluate media coverage and PR activity, sharing coverage with key internal and external stakeholders

· Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the issues affecting the NHS, and the wider political environment support liaison with NHS England, DHSC and other bodies to build relationships and ensure alignment of messages

The role is a hybrid of office and home working, requiring occasional meetings at the Warwick office. The team also meets in London but this is flexible, depending on the location of the successful candidate.

About You

You will have experience working in public relations. You will have experience of leading successful PR media relations strategies, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should be creative and passionate about delivering impactful work, with a proven ability to be highly organised and manage your own workload.

You will also have:

· Experience in developing and implementing media strategies for a high-profile organisation.

· Demonstrable evidence of successfully pitching to and building relationships with national, regional and sector journalists.

· A strong track record in reactive media management for an organisation in the public eye.

· Excellent time management skills and an ability to consistently meet deadlines.

· Excellent political awareness

· A strong track record in writing impactful content for different channels.

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Fundraising Development Manager

The Bike Project (TBP) is looking for a Fundraising Development Manager. This role will focus on gaining support from both corporate partners and major donors alongside line managing the Fundraising Executive. 

This is a key growth area for TBP, the post holder will have the opportunity to make the role their own leading their own income stream whilst being supported by the Head of Fundraising and CEO. The Bike Project has an entrepreneurial culture born out of our online and physical bike shop which raises considerable income on an annual basis. We are now keen to grow our trading further through developing a new bike servicing model. This role will lead the development and roll out of this service alongside developing traditional corporate partnerships and relationships with major donors.

Being a small charity, we work in an agile manner which allows for creative ideas to flourish and new ideas to be implemented quickly. We hold donation sessions weekly out of our London and Birmingham workshops, so there is opportunity to see the impact of your work first hand.
